About this set:
1. THE SISTERS OF KESTREL CAY Margot ran away from the scene of a terrible accident… but she can’t run forever in this suspenseful tale of dark secrets and sisterhood.
Will Margot and Lottie have what it takes to protect each other? Can Lottie forgive Margot for running away?
2. THE GIRL IN HIDEAWAY PARK Basia Guthrie has always been a loner. Abandoned by her father, then ignored and neglected by her mom and a handful of detached stepparents, she grew up knowing the only things she could count on were her own smarts and ingenuity.

3. THE MAN AT NIMBUS MARINA Rags Bertram is a man with a past. But he isn’t one to boast about it. A former soldier in the U.S. special forces, Rags came to the island and bought an old marina to stay off the grid and out of trouble.
Will Rags realize the seriousness of a looming threat in time? Will he have the courage to turn back to his old way of doing things? And who will become a casualty and take the fall?
4. THE WOMAN ON SEAGLASS LANE Annie Langley moved south for a slower pace and warmer weather that would sooth her New York bones. Little did she know just how intensely the island would take hold of her.
Will Annie find the courage to remain open to unexpected experiences and opportunities? Will the past she’d hoped to escape resurface? And will her own life change beyond recognition in the process?
About the Hideaway Isle series:
It’s paradise on the sparkling tropical shores of Hideaway Isle, Florida. A place where vacationers go to get away and residents enjoy year-round luxury.
Despite postcard-worthy appearances, there’s trouble in paradise. Lurking just beyond the sun, sand, and sea are threats that promise to wreak havoc in this seemingly idyllic utopia.
With riveting turns that will leave you breathless, each Hideaway Isle novel features a deep dive into the ongoing story, told from a different islander’s point of view.
Kelly Utt writes novels about life, love, and the choices that shape our destinies. The stakes are high. The emotions run deep.
Kelly was raised by a dad who would read a book, ask her to read it, too, and then insist they discuss it together, igniting her passion for life's big questions. That passion is often reflected in her novels, giving them a depth which leaves readers wanting more and thinking about her stories long after the last lines are read.
Her earlier works—like the Rosemary Run, Hideaway Isle, and Appleman's Gap series—focus on family secrets, suspense, and psychological twists. Her newest novels, including Sierra Oscar Sierra and What’s Left to Burn, delve into cosmic love stories with high-stakes romance.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys travel, great books, and good food, along with movies, music, and social media. She is a founding author of My Book Friends, a vibrant reader community dedicated to connecting authors and book lovers. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and sons.

The Boy on Sunset and Main, my first short read from author Kelly Utt, an author I'd wanted to read for some time now. Not in the box set but a prequel.
The Sisters of Kestrel Cay (Hideaway Isle, #1), my second read from author Kelly Utt. A well-written, pulse-pounding, entertaining romantic suspense read, with intriguing, well-developed characters that leaves you panting for more.
The Girl in Hideaway Park (The Summer Isle Book 2), my third read from author Kelly Utt.
The Man at Nimbus Marina (The Hideaway Isle #3), my fifth read from author Kelly Utt.
The Woman on Seaglass Lane (Hideaway Isle #4) from author Kelly Utt. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I'll be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Kelly Utt is one of my favorite authors after reading this series. The books were extremely well-written, exciting, and definitely entertaining, with well-developed characters. I was sad when each book ended, and doubly sad that this series has ended.
Book 0.5, The Boy on Sunset and Main, is the prequel to this series. It's not in the boxset, but I definitely suggest you read it. You are introduced to Puck Reed, who is struck by lightning at age 5, then again years later.
Book 1: The Sisters of Kestrel Bay, where you are introduced to Margot Callahan and her younger sister Lottie. The sisters and younger brother Puck were left by their mother Annie when she escaped Hideaway Isle.
Book 2: The Girl in Hideaway Park. This book focuses on Lottie and her friend Basia, and Martha and Bugs. Great story!
Book 3: The Man at Nimbus Marina. This story is about Rags Bertram, owner of Nimbus Marina and Margot Callahan. Exciting story!
Book 4: The Woman on Seaglass Lane. This book is about Annie (Lottie, Margot, and Puck's mom) when she returns to Hideaway isle after vanishing years ago. Great story!
This is one of the best series I've ever read. Buy a copy of this boxset and the prequel too. You won't be disappointed!
This author is amazing! Her stories are creative and well written. The storyline in each book is interesting and has continuity, not just of characters but within each individual persons backstory. There is plenty of action, romance, and twists and turns to keep the reader turning pages well into the night. This series is not to be missed!
A woman fakes her death and leaves her children behind. Returning years later to face her demons. A heart felt novel that makes you feel for the characters. A suspenseful ending that was not expected. I really enjoyed this episode.
Great original stories, most lovable characters, soooo many twists to keep you hanging on and a such a surprise ending! The only thing I may comment on is the love interest is just too perfect! He could never be real! Someone is dreaming on that one!
I am delighted to have purchased the series since the end of each book left me wanting more! These books had romance, mystery and interesting characters. I look forward to reading more books written by Kelly Utt!
I thoroughly enjoyed this series of entertwined stories with a different narrator for each one. I have sent to the author for an epilogue to see further what happened to these delightful characters. These books have it all! Romance, spies, military ops, CIA, family mysteries and disappearing family members. It is all told very succintly and the story hold together well. I will be looking for more of Kelly's books.
Hideaway Isle Box Set - a review by Rosemary Kenny A great collection of all Kelly Utt's Hideaway Isle novels, that'll give you a fantastic reading experience.
0.5) The Boy on Sunset and Main: Puck Reed has an unusual claim to fame - he's been struck by lightning, not just once - aged 5 - when his mother had left him on the eponymous street alone, but now a second time, 29 years later. During his early years he's had amnesia, been 'adopted' as pre-arranged with his Mom, Annie, by his real grandparents - and his girlfriend's heavily pregnant with their son. He also has strange habits and phobias, including collecting shark's teeth from the nearby beach. When Puck and (just AD diagnosed), Mami are both out in the storm, the shock of this second strike makes Puck remember everything - and it's devastating! What will happen now?
1) The Sisters of Kestrel Cay: Margot Callaway is a Naval Flight Officer located in Whidbey Island Naval Base, 3,000 miles away from her former Hideaway Isle home, left 7 years earlier. Summoned home by a phone call from her 'Pop', what happens back in Kestrel Cay? Where's Margot's estranged younger sister, Lottie? Who is Rags Bertram? What do he and Margot have in common? A series of tragic, dangerous and terrifying events take place at breakneck speed, in Kelly Utt's The Sisters of Kestrel Cay, Hideaway Isle #3. Prepare to read all night as it's a non-stop action thriller you won't be able to put down.
2) The Girl in Hideaway Park: Book 2 focuses somewhat more on Lottie's psychic artist girlfriend, Basia Guthrie. The couple have come on a getaway break to Hideaway Isle, where by chance, in the eponymous park, they meet Martha and Bugs, who're on the way to a remote safe-house, due to potentially deadly attacks wherever they are, that seem unstoppable. Before the four leave separately, however, Lottie and Basia undergo a literally life-changing experience, that doesn't end well for anyone involved!
3) The Man at Nimbus Marina: Hideaway Isle series book 3 by the sensational Kelly Utt, is The Man at Nimbus Marina - the eponymous 'Man' being its owner, Rags Bertram. Little or no action takes place in the Marina, but Rags himself is definitely the 'main man'. He's come to know and love Naval Officer Margot Callaway, despite her troubled family relationships. Rags gradually reveals his past - good and bad - as he was a Navy SEAL for six years, then became a vigilante-for-hire, yet leaving that life to live semi-covertly, but in plain sight, on Hideaway Isle off the coast of Florida. Kelly Utt's The Man at Nimbus Marina is a non-stop adventure ride of emotions and thrills, you're sure to enjoy!
4)The Woman on Seaglass Lane: Annie is a very complex woman, who over two decades ago vanished from Hideaway Isle, to escape her abusive, (then) husband Llew, a Florida-based crime boss, so that both she and her young son Puck were believed dead. Prior to that, she'd left her teenage daughters to be raised by her parents, (who were sworn to secrecy) as she disappeared from all their lives, without a word of explanation. Decades later, having married again in between, Annie finally returns from her New York apartment, to the Island where she grew up. Soon afterwards, she witnesses three paramedics being murdered making her situation even crazier than before - and she has no idea whom to trust. How will it all work out? What else is happening?
A maelstrom mixture of spy/crime/action-crime-thriller, that's too good to miss, get your Hideaway Isle Box Set by Kelly Utt, as soon as the bookstore opens - satisfaction is guaranteed!
This "complete series" ends with a cliffhanger. You have to subscribe to the author's newsletter to find out the ending to all the storylines. I won't spoil the incomplete ending that is partially resolved...
Congratulations, I won't be picking up another of your books, author.
I enjoyed these books but wish they were a little longer and more complete. The story covers a family who didn't know the others existed. Puck grows up believing his mother deserted him and the couple who adopted him were good people. Turns out they are his grandparents. Then he finds out he has 2 half sisters. Throw into the mix a series of bombings on the small island. Add the surprise of their mother returning from the dead.
I never start a book that I don’t finish. Unfortunately I read the first in this series of 4 but could not continue to read the rest. The story plot line was implausible, and the characters were not particularly likable or relatable. It was a page-turner only in the sense that I scrolled through them as fast as I could. This was not worth taking the time to read. I hope others can find it a better read and appreciate Ms. Utt’s effort.
I really loved this book series. Each book focuses on a different character and that character’s perspective as the story evolves over the four books. The writer’s writing style makes for easy, fast and fun reading while weaving mystery, romance, family drama/relationships and Special Forces action into the backdrop of this thriller. I could easily see this being adapted into a Netflix, Starz, Max, Paramont+ or Amazon Prime series. How far would you go to protect your family?
Finally a captivating series that kept me enthralled the entire time! I love to read- thrillers and mysteries are my “jam” but I often figure out the plot early and get bored. Not so with Kelly Utt! She is an excellent writer and weaver of plots with characters who are interesting and representative of a variety of everyday people. The only negative is that the story ended.
If you like cliffhangers then you will enjoy this book.
Even though this is a very intriguing series I'm turned off by cliffhangers. I enjoy stories that are complete and leave you feeling good not waiting anxiously for the next book.
This is an amazing tale told from the perspective of four very different characters. Everything is woven together through family ties and deep love. A complete blending of genres and archetypes. Told simply, directly and with much food for thought.
I just finished this book series and enjoyed every minute of it. It was sad when I finished it all. But I was able to get an epilogue of the characters from the author by joining her newsletter.
