Susan Warner was born in New Bern, North Carolina. These days she lives in the melting pot of the United States, New York. She writes about sweet small-town romance as a way to remember her roots. She has been blessed with four grown children and a man who cares about her enough to understand when the voices start-up in her head, it’s time for her to go to work.
She originally started telling stories to her kids to benefit from learning about country values even though they weren’t raised there. As time went on, she found others who wanted to hear her stories. Stories that believe in the goodness of people, the sanctity of love, and understand that forgiveness and compassion make us better human beings.
When Susan isn’t writing, she reads voraciously, volunteers to help the homeless and animals when she can, and is eternally trying to get the gauge right in her knitting.

So of the three best friends (Ava, Karina, and Margo) this one is my least favorite of the series.
Believe it or not, but Daniel, the ex-husband, I was rooting for him throughout the entire book, but by the end I was kind of hoping that he would just walk away from Karina. I didn't like how Karina was written at all.
For me I would think that as a mother, especially when its one that you tried so hard for, that you would put your pride aside and do what's best for your children. In this one, I found Karina to be too prideful and self-absorbed in the entire situation that she had put her family in. I get wanting to stand on your own two feet and provide for those you love, especially when you feel betrayed like she had by Daniel. But there comes a time when pride needs to be put aside and you ask for help especially when it comes to kids. I absolutely hated that even knowing her daughter was having trouble with the divorce she didn't think to step back and reevaluate things for the betterment of her daughter. When her daughter started cutting herself she really should've put her business on the back burner, called the dad (because from I get in reading this, Daniel didn't know about any of the issues his daughter was having), and they get Victoria the help she so obviously needed.

In regards to the overall story. Well Daniel was so sweet and romantic in his ways of trying to win back Karina. However, don't feel as if it should've all been up to Daniel to make their relationship work again. For Daniel he honestly did feel like he had cheated because he told another woman the problems he was having with his wife. However, I also feel Karina had let Daniel down when she just listened to the gossip and put her faith in everyone else's word instead of letting him explain. In the end I feel like they both had did wrong to each other, but I do feel Karina did the worse damage to their family as a whole when she chose her business over the mental health of her daughter.

Ok - but gullible in parts
Karina, wife, mother and business woman, self absorbed to see what exactly is happening around her and at times, swallows in misery some of which is her own fault. Daniel, husband, now divorced and lonely single but busy with his work. Victoria, daughter, feeling neglected by all and becomes deranged after hearing a conversation between her parents that causes her to believe she's not wanted or loved. When she creates a problem for both herself and parents, everyone has to look at how to deal with it.
The couple split up after Daniel spent overnight with a colleague, talking and disclosing a personal issue regarding having a child and Karina immersed in wanting another. I think is strange this led to a misunderstanding and the huge consequence of the divorce.
Karina thought he had cheated, as in sex with the colleague. and she never asked, just packed his bags and said he had to leave...he did
Daniel agreed he had cheated, but he was apologising for breach of trust and had nothing to do with sleeping with another woman, he never explained but the news/gossip had reached her before he did .
A bit forced, and ridiculous that there was such a misunderstanding Took 2 years for this truth to come out...then Karina's mistrust was embedded and not helping.

Finding Forever by Susan Warner is a second chance romance story. Daniel and Kyra have gotten a divorce one and a half years earlier and they have to join together again to help overcome the difficulties their daughter is facing. At the core of it, the story is definitely interesting but the way it has been told just didn't work for me. There was no consistency in the emotional range of the various characters. The way they think and act, and what they think and act just doesn't seem genuine to me. The writing style also is not something which I like. This book is for those people who don't mind reading a fairly-written sweet, nice story.

Strong emotions from the beginning of this book give a glimpses of the life of 3 people. A wife who fights against a wrong against her. A husband who feels like he cheated on her but there are things she doesn't know. A child who is rebelling in a way that could be dangerous but runs to where she feels comfortable. Susan Warner shows a couple who must come together for the sake of their child while showing us how both parents are handling it all. While her wants to woo his wife, she is fighting it, while blaming herself for the not being able to talk to their daughter. We learn about their lives, how they handle the each other and their daughter. I like Daniel, he seems like a good guy, But Karina not so much.

This was a good read. Karina and Daniel had been married for quite a while when she discovered he had cheated (she learns exactly what they involved much later in the story). Their daughter Victoria, didn't think she was wanted and started acting out. Karina was besides herself and it comes to a head when Victoria runs away. It ends up bringing their family together again but slowly. It was fun that the dad was taking advice from the teenager. He was fairly clueless when it comes to romance. The characters were good and the storyline moved along quickly

This is a book about second chances. Karina and Daniel are the parents of Victoria. They divorce and none of them are happy about it. Vicky decides to take matters into her own hands and runs away to her dad’s place. Daniel calls Karina and tells her he’s bringing their baby home. Karina didn’t even know that Vicky was in contact with Daniel. Daniel decides he’s going to win Karina, his soulmate, back. I have to say I loved Daniel’s character a lot more than I did Karina’s. I won’t leave any spoilers, so you can read and decide if you agree with me.

Daniel and Karina were married and tried hard to have a child, and then Daniel had an affair and they divorced. Hard feelings all around, including the child Victoria, who fought with both parents. When she is old enough, she tries to put her family back together by running away to her dads. The characters are realistic, with intense feelings. The storyline hits some hard topics and situations, but works through them very well. The ending landed on a high note.

"This plot isn't so common and that's what I loved the most. By chapter four I was in love with Daniel and his plan? It wasn't exactly a plan but was it romantic? Yes!!! But don't let me foul you, my romantic side was happy but my realistic side and not so lovely side was furious cause we'll... things are not what hey seem. Anyway, Victoria was a great character and I really like her attitude and the whole helping her parents. Karina was a complicated though considering the circumstances it wasn't so unexpected. The ending was perfect! Couldn't have ask for a different ending."

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from Booksprout.co.

OK
Technically, the story was well put together and the character were fleshed out enough that you get a good feel for them... but, I really didn't like the female lead. She was self-absorbed and judgmental all the way through to the end.
This couple really needs to learn to talk and listen to each other.
Daniel did have a bit of character growth, showed he was truly in love with Karina, and willing to go for the "grand gesture."

Karina and Daniel are divorced due to Daniel being unfaithful and leaving the marriage. This is a novel about a family struggling with a broken relationship and a teenager who is angry about it. Some mental health is involved and real life issues. Can they find their way back to each other? Well written and enjoy this author.

Finding Forever is a very sweet love story about a family that loses itself amidst a divorce. After two years of being apart, Daniel and Karina join forces to help their teenage daughter, Victoria, deal with a bit of a breakdown. This book is a quick, easy read, but a big story. I really liked the characters and loved the role the daughter plays in clinching a happy ending.

The second book in the Hidden Treasures series. Daniel and Karina lose their way and divorce but Victoria their daughter is not happy about it so she decides to run away to he dad's place. I enjoyed seeing their second chance story come together. I liked Daniel a little bit more than I did Karina. I had to smile as Victoria tried everything to bring them together. This book was hard for me due to the infidelity issue. Daniel and Karina gre apart in their arrive. They wanted a child and it took forever. Daniel cheated on Karina and she files for divorce. There is a lot of animosity and fighting. Their daughter is not happy about anything. Will they be able to work through the issues and reconcile or is the damage too much?

Susan has done it again with a wonderful, enjoyable romance you can't put down. You love getting to know the characters as you turn every page. They're realistic, easy to relate to and endearing. The story flows smoothly from page to page and keeps you engaged from the beginning to the end. A great small town romance you'll be glad you added to your summer reading list.

I loved this true-life drama on the page and it made for interesting reading.
A family in crisis, with the husband (Daniel) and wife (Katrina) on the brink, and a runaway daughter (Victoria).
A wonderful, believable plot, with fully fleshed-out characters and a crisp easy-paced narrative, made this novel an excellent read.

it's been my experience that the middle story of a trilogy just seems to mark the passage of time without too much substance, that is not the case with this story. from page to page I could feel the confusion of the protagonists. Kudos to the author

I enjoyed this book. Susan Warner definitely expands on the idea that all is not as it seems and runs with it. I love the characters, the humor and the surprises. Look forward to reading the next book.
