Taking a Chance on Love . . .

Piper Stapleton and King Dorsey have had feelings for each other for a long time. But her brother Jack has always warned King to stay away from Piper. They finally agree to have a brief fling to get it out of their systems. Instead, it becomes very real to King. His attitude changes and Piper likes this new version.

Despite Piper’s brother insisting King is a player who will break her heart, will she take a chance on the man she is falling in love with? Will they admit to their relationship and ignore her brother’s annoyance with them?

This is a good story where adults ignore other adults who have no business trying to manipulate their relationship. (Sorry, that is one of the tropes that drives me crazy.) Do they have a chance of finding real love? Grab your copy and see how it all resolves.

This book will have you from the first page to the last. Piper has had a crush on King for a long time. He is her brother Jack's friend. Now he is a rockstar and has a concert in town. Somehow, she ends up sleeping with him and she knows it was a mistake. If Jack finds out he will have a fit. King's manager has been arrested and King's tour has been put on hold for the time being. Jack owns The Grandiose, and they have entertainment there. One of the acts they had canceled and now they were down one act. King wants to see Piper again but she has ghosted him. He comes up with a plan and he talks to Jack about it. At first, things don't go the way King wants them to. Piper becomes King's manager for the time he is at The Grandiose hotel. Things between Piper and King heat up and they end up spending time together. Piper knows that if Jack finds out about them, he will be mad since he knows that King is nothing but a playboy. King wants to tell Jack about their relationship but Piper wants to wait to see what happens between them. King gets a call that makes him think about what would happen if he and Piper got together and something happened to him. He never wants to put her through what he is seeing his friend Asher's wife Lake going through. He backs things off with Piper. He ends up going to Atlantic City with his friend Ace. At first, King does is think about Piper. He is gone for a few days and Piper thinks that he is done with her. She spends a few days working from home just to be able to think time out. On the day she goes back to work, she decides to tell Jack about her and King. He is not as upset as she thought he would be. She tells Jack that things between her and King are over and that she is okay. King has decided to tell Jack how he feels about Piper and when he gets back, he goes and lays it all out for Jack. King tells Jack that he plans to ask Piper to marry him. Jack tells him that he knows the perfect ring to give to her. After things are settled with Jack, King sends Piper a text asking if they could talk.
Will King get the answer he wants from Piper?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a fun story and its book 2 in the seires though it can easily stand alone. It stars King who is a very hot rock star and is Jack's best friend. Jack's sister works for him and also has a huge crush on King. One tipsy night in Vegas they have a one night stand but after King does not want to let Piper go. So they have a very secret romance but King ends up wanting more and Piper wants to keep it secret....

I really enjoyed this story but at times I was frustrated by both leads. King wants to not be in secret but Piper does, when she is ready, he ghosts her, and then when he comes back she is not ready... At times this frustrated me but it did also make me keep reading until the very end. I did like the first book in the series more but I think thats because I tend to not like secret romances. That said this was a fun and flirty story and I quite enjoyed getting to readthe story.

Forbidden fruit always tastes sweeter

King is the second book in the Vegas Kings series and is a great forbidden romance between Piper and King. King is one of the four friends who are knows as the Vegas Kings. When King's friend Jack comes to Vegas for a concert, as he is a rockstar, he brings his sister Piper. King and Piper have both crushed on each other for years. But Jack had warned King to stay away from Piper. So in the light of day after a drunken night finds King and Piper in the same bed, and naked, things are about to get delightfully fun. Piper and King agree to have a secret short affair but when both their hearts get involved and feelings start to swirl for both of them they have to make some hard decisions about what their futures will be.

Sweet & steamy - what a great combination!

Piper's & King's story has it all: A hot, super-star hero who is sooo sweet beneath the outer hard shell and determined not to take No for an answer, a sassy take-no-prisoners heroine who's been hurt before and running scared but really wants to say Yes, a protective I-know-better big brother and friends who know how to take a woman's mind off her troubles. I am NOT saying more, because that would spoil the surprises, just this: The book will leave you swooning, cheering King and Dakota on and the love scenes are so hot .... I thoroughly enjoyed it and read it in one go. Good thing that this is only the second book in the series with more fun to come.

King and Piper have an unforgettable night but it can't be more because King is Piper's brother's best friend. However, King can't let go and manages to get Piper to spend more time with him by employing some underhanded tactics. These two get closer and their chemistry is off the charts explosive. However, Piper will have to face her past hurts and hang-ups and deal with her brother in order to get to their HEA.

I thought this story was fun, sweet and actually romantic in many ways. King was not what I expected from a rock star and it was so refreshing. I really liked him and Piper together and loved their banter back and forth.

Piper and King are secretly together as her brother does not want his best friend to touch her, as he has an image while being lead in a rock band. The characters are terrific, with great backstories and intense feelings, although most of the time they do not tell the other how they feel. The storyline has multiple sides to it as you see the depth of King and Piper, especially around his wonderful grandmother that he sees every week. Loved the surprises King had for Piper and strength she had to face her brother. This story was fantastic and I can not wait to read more about this tight-knit group.

I loved this story it’s a brother best friends little sister and rockstar romance and this is King’s and Piper’s story. King has been warned by Piper’s brother to keep his hands off her but after a heavy night of drinking they end up in bed together for Piper that was her dream come true because she has had a crush on King for a long time. King knows that it was wrong but he doesn’t regret it as a matter of fact he wants more but Piper wants to keep their relationship a secret which King is not happy about. I loved this story I enjoyed the characters and I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book.
The characters are well thought out with great chemistry and steam. Piper and king are not meant to get together as her brother always said there was no messing around with his little sister. Can Piper tame the bad boy rockstar . Will king end up with his heart broken or will pipers brother kill him first. The story pulls you in until the very last page.
I would recommend this book you will not be disappointed.

Pipper has been in love with King since she can remember but never has done anything about it. King has always had feelings for her but she's his best friend's sister and off limits, but he can't resist her this time around. Will they make it? will they overcome their issues? You have to read to find out, o really enjoyed this story, it was a but frustrating at times, lots of back and forth between them and their attitudes, but the story is very well written, romantic and steamy.

I liked this book a lot and thought it was a solid entry in this fun series. I thought the chemistry was obvious and undeniable between this couple. I felt Piper and King quite likable but their never ending back-and-forth dance did get kind of annoying after a while. However, as a whole, I found this to be a engaging read that had me feeling invested in the characters and it kept me entertained. I am posting a volitional, forthright review.

Piper and King are full of attraction but, she happens to be Jack’s little sister which is also Kings best friend. The question is do they or don’t they act on this undeniable chemistry between them. A lot of ups and downs with this couple, that will make your head spin. A good steamy read with tons of heat, but can they ever both be on the same page.

I've read several books written by McKenna James; she has done a great job at writing this fabulous story; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book. King and Ellie are two unlikely people who shouldn’t be together but are drawn to each other the bad boy and the good girl. Grab your copy today and start reading you won’t be disappointed

This is very well written book, loved it !!!
Piper has had a crush on King for years.
King over hears Piper telling Ellie she has had a crush on King after one of his concerts.
King gives Piper his room key expecting her not to accept his offer.
They hit it off and now they a sneaking around because if her brother finds out there will be hell to pay.
Highly recommend this book for a great read.

The love story was realistic and exciting, the tropes mixed well together and the characters really easy to love. What was a let-down, were the mix-up with the details between the first and second book. In "Jack" Jack owned The Royal which was one of the top hotel gaming casinos, but in the second book it was named The Grandiose (which in the first book was Asher's) AND it was called a resort, totally different venues in my opinion.

Vegas Kings book 2. King and Piper! A rock god and a business guru. His best friend little sister gets it on Hot and steamy. This book is everything you need in an awesome movie. Known to be a player, he knows better than to mess with Piper. But he falls head over heels in love with her. She's all business and very little play. But her brother's BFF changed all that. Hopeful, angstful, entertaining, high drama and hella sexy. A really fanfreakingtastic read.

King is a playboy in both books but all it takes is that one special lady that has been under his nose his entire life to change all that. Piper is definitely under King's skin. I enjoyed this book as well as book one and I am looking forward to the third book.

There are so many fun elements to this story.
Hot rocker and best friends sister. Crushes that have secretly flames for years until a night that can only happen in Vegas.
This book was a fun read. The back and forth of the characters was frustrating and entertaining at the same time!

Good but not quite what I hoped for

I thought this would be more balanced. I thought King was more interested in Piper but he seemed so arrogant in this book than he was in the first book. I thought there was mutual interest but it was more one sided from Piper. Lots of chemistry between them but not what I was expecting.

this was actually so shit and i feel so much better now. somehow the characters have less personality than in the first book??? the two of them were just so wishy washy and the conflict was so un-conflicty my brain actually turned to mush trying finish this book. i don’t think i actually read a single sentence in full, i skimmed the entire thing.
