This text is set to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, making it perfect for storytime and reading aloud. With bright colors, playful rhymes, and plenty of dinosaurs, this adventure provides endless fun for dino fans both big and small. Little ones will love singing along to the tune of a favorite nursery rhyme!
Jack borrowed this book from the Ashland Public Library.
I picked it out because he loves dinosaurs, without realizing the nursery rhyme theme. But reading the book to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star made it that much better. Jack wasn’t paying attention at first, but then he got sucked in and was captivated for the whole thing. You get to learn about several different dinosaur species and the language is creative and fun.
This book is a very colorful picture book. This book is meant for children ages 0-3. This book is in the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle little star." It gives information about different dinosaurs while including rhyming and music. I rated this book five stars because it has very colorful illustrations that are very detailed. This would definitely grasp a young child's attention. Not only does it help children become familiar with rhyming but it includes a song that many young children are familiar with. This book also includes the names of many different dinosaurs. This book would be great for a child who shows an interest in dinosaurs or animals. This book shows great illustrations of dinosaurs and the nature around them. This book also explains a decent number of descriptive verbs, such as "Sneaking, creeping, leap and bounce." These are great for children to become familiar with so they can learn how to describe things. overall this is a great book to keep young kids' attention.
We absolutely love this series of books so I was so excited to find there was a new one being released. This is a brilliant rhyming story about dinosaurs. The best thing is the whole book can he sung to the tune of 'Twinkle Twinkle.' The story features all the well known dinosaurs from the start of the day until they go to sleep. As always there are stunning illustrations by Nick Sharatt. I would definitely use this in an Early Years classroom. We used to do a whole half term topic on dinosaurs and this would be perfect to teach the class and it would be great to perform in an assembly. They would love it! I would highly recommend this book and the whole series. Thank you to NetGalley and Bloomsbury Publishing for this advance copy.
There are so many dinosaur books. This one is a sneaky leader for me. I think the text is just as good, perhaps better, without singing to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. There are a LOT of verses and many types of dinos, some unfamiliar. There are facts about the dinosaurs, some onomatopoeia, and we follow the dinos from morning until bedtime. The colors are bright and the text / illustration balance is good.
Favorite bedtime book. My son has f***ing loved the velociraptors since he was 3 months old. He will flip through the other dinosaur pages before we’ve finished reading them until we get to the velociraptors. He’s 9 months now and smiles and rubs his hands together every time the velociraptors “sneak” and “pounce.”
I know its wild to harshly rate a picture book but I cannot stand how they tried to shove these dinosaur names into the rhythm of twinkle twinkle little star and how you have to pronounce words wrong to fit fit the word scheme. do that in a book for adults all you want but a book for children this young that is absurd.
This was a book I had selected for Baby-rhyme time at my library in the spring, but forgot to add to my goodreads. I don't remember it, but again, it must have been good enough to include for a storytime.
2yo would give this 6 stars. I like the whole book, but the first sentence tries to rhyme dinosaur with far and it makes me grumpy every time I have to sing it. Which is about six times a day.
This is very wordy for a board book, and the rhyme scheme doesn't always work, but the illustrations are bright and colorful, and it identifies lots of different types of dinos.
So much fun! The perfect read aloud for little ones (or sing aloud if you follow the instructions to sing along to the tune of Twinkle Little Star. Adorable!
