Ein Sachbilderbuch, das sich spielerisch mit Astronomie beschäftigt, sich den Sternenhimmel vornimmt. Himmelstiere – Sternbilder, die nach Sternen benannt sind. Jede Doppelseite widmet sich einem Sternenbild. Geheimnisse des Nachthimmels - und jede dieser Beobachtungen wird aus einem anderen Kinderzimmer auf der Welt gemacht, mit Datumsangabe – einmal rund um den Globus. Der Clou obendrauf ist der Taschenlampentrick ...
«Die Katzen schlafen, am Himmel wird es dunkel.
Schau hin, dann siehst du sein Gefunkel.
Er schläft im Winter, hat der Tatzen vier
Und ist ein großes, schweres Zotteltier.»
Jedem Sternbild ist ein Gedicht gewidmet, so dass das dazugehörige Tier zu erraten ist – nicht bei allen wird direkt der Name im Poem benannt. Linien die zu Sternbildern verbunden werden – such sie! Löwe, Fische, Delfin, Adler, Großer Bär, Giraffe, Pfau und Fuchs. Auf jeder Doppelseite befindet sich rechts ein Fenster zum Aufklappen. Wir sehen die Sternenkonstellation. Aber wie wird dies zum Sternenbild? Nimm eine Taschenlampe – es sollte bereits ein wenig dunkler sein – oder halte die Seite vor eine Lampe. Und schon sehen wir das entsprechende Tier.
Aus acht verschiedenen Kinderzimmern der Welt beobachten wir acht tierische Sternbilder. Kyoto, Japan, bis Routoura, Neuseeland usw. zeigen uns die Sterne, wie sie im passenden Kulturkreis gedeutet wird. Am Ende gibt es weiterführende Informationen (mit Zeichnung) zu den jeweiligen Fenstern. Passend zum Sternenhimmel ist das Kindersachbuch blau-weiß illustriert. Eine schöne Idee, Kindern den Zugang zur Astronomie zu geben. Erste Sternenkunde. Vielleicht wird daraus mehr. Besonders fein fand ich die Idee mit dem beleuchteten Fenster – Geheimnisse kommen immer gut bei Kindern an. Der Gerstenberg gibt eine Altersempfehlung ab 8 Jahren. Passt für mich. Empfehlung für alle Sternengucker!
Aina Bestard, geb. 1981 auf Mallorca, ist Illustratorin und Textildesignerin. Ihr Großvater brachte ihr schon als Kind das Zeichnen bei. Nach ihrem Grafikdesign-Studium arbeitete sie für große Marken, heute illustriert sie am liebsten Kinderbücher. Ihre international erfolgreichen Bücher wurden in 13 Sprachen übersetzt. Wie alles begann wurde in Frankreich mit dem Prix Sorcière und in Deutschland mit dem EMYS-Sachbuchpreis ausgezeichnet. Es stand außerdem auf der Liste Die besten 7. Aina Bestard lebt und arbeitet in Barcelona und auf Mallorca.

June 13, 2022This book is innovative, clever, and so, so well-done. It does so much more than introduce kids to constellations, but it does do that, and very well. The idea is that each spread is a kid's bedroom in different parts of the world-- Japan, Mexico, Mongolia, Kenya, etc. And so you get this fascinating look at what these bedrooms look like. And then there is a rhyming riddle that pertains to the constellation, and you open a flap and shine a light to see the stars and the animal. This is a great gift for kids as well as adults -- after all, do you know what Aquila looks like in the Moroccan sky? Or how about Pavo in Kenya?

Un très beau livre. A travers de fenêtres de maisons de plusieurs villes du monde on découvre différentes constellations. Chaque maison est décorée différemment. Un très beau livre.
