A ritual in the woods is never a good idea.
Cody Benton, high school teacher and struggling writer, was supposed to be celebrating a joyful new chapter in his life: his wife is pregnant and a baby is on the way. But an unexpected phone call that his estranged father is dead reawakens painful memories.
Years ago, his mother and young sister mysteriously disappeared in the forest near their family cabin at Five Points. As Cody and his brother sort out their dead father’s belongings, old wounds are re-opened.
Pressured by his brother, Cody and his wife return to Five Points to perform a ceremony to get closure on their lost loved ones. But a ritual in the woods is never a good idea.
Soon Cody’s world is turned upside down. His pregnant wife goes missing. He swears he sees a supernatural creature in the forest, one he remembers from his childhood. And then he uncovers the mad writings of his father suggesting a way to bring back those who have vanished in the woods.
Can Cody find his wife and bring back his mother and sister? Will he finally muster the courage to be the hero he always imagined?
