Hannah Porter’s fiancé left her for her best friend. Maybe she should be counting her blessings, but instead, she’s trudging down a snowy street to the bakery before it closes so she can eat her feelings.
Only a strange light comes.
And she’s stolen away onto an alien spaceship.
Supposedly, she’s this alien’s mate.
Let’s see… the cheating bastard or a hot alien? A very lusty alien at that, but can lust turn into love?
DNF 30% This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it will be my last. The storytelling has horrible pacing and the characters are flat. The first sex scene between the leads was such a turnoff too. There was no foreplay, which lead to pain… Is this book aimed at a female audience or is it meant to perpetuate sex myths rampant in porn made for the male audience? Because this book left me feeling disgusted.
I can't imagine finding out that my fiance and my best friend are in bed together and then have a lot of hateful things to Hannah. I wish Omur had dealt with this but Omur had not quite kidnapped her yet. I have a lot of respect for Omur for his love, patience and thoughtfulness while she decides how she feels.
With the heart wrenching way this book started off, it had to get better for poor Hannah! And it did, starting with an alien abduction. Omur, the alien was everything Hannah needed to forget her betrayals. Those two deserved their HEA. I liked this book way better than the first one.
This is a good, well written, Alien/Human romance. It is spicy with drama. The characters are well developed, interesting, and lovable. How does a woman who has had too many hard knocks decide what she needs to be happy? Read and enjoy.

REVIEW Hannah thought her long-time fiance loved her. I mean he gave her a ring, right? Well... Yes, she is a bit overweight, and she doesn't really care to dress up. Why should she? Well, everything goes belly up one cold wintry night and everything she thought was right turns very very wrong. A best friend stabs her in the back, and then a man steals her right off the street. And he says he is her mate? What's a mate?
Can Omur win her heart? Or is all doomed? I really enjoyed this one... He has to work for her heart and that makes the story all the more likable.
