I only just found my men, but my new family is already scattered amongst the stars.
When aliens took me from my earth, I never thought I’d be happy again. Instead of torturing me, they welcomed me with open arms, made me their queen and gave me a home.
Now that an assassin has taken me away, all I want to do is go back to our ship. But even as I desperately try to make my way back to them, I can’t help but think that there’s more to this reptilian hunter. In this galaxy of magic and strange science, it seems there might be more to him than meets the eye.
I've had Kye, the human cyborg, with all his soft and hard edges. I've had the Skoll, sometimes at the same time. And I've had Nereus, a prince, the man--the alien--I'm going to marry. It should be enough. It's more than most get to experience. But all I can think about is what's under Orion's armor, and what happens to his clones when he takes off their clothes.
I have to help him before I return to my kingdom and reunite with my men. But with him and my horned bodyguard at each other’s throats, who knows if we’ll all make it out alive?
COSMIC CONFESSIONS is a MMFMM science fantasy romance with a group of hot alien heroes and a strong heroine. Fans of Angel Lawson and Ruby Dixon will love this journey to another galaxy.
This book took me on one heck of an angst filled emotional journey
***** Rating: 5 stars Steam: 2 flames Genre: Sci-Fi Romance / Poly RH w MM Standalone: No, this is book two of trilogy ***** I had no idea what to expect going into this book, and Cosmic Confessions had my emotions all over the place.
For the first third of the book I was angry and confused. Angry at the characters and confused by their behavior. My notes for the first part of the book are a little bit ragey, in retrospect it's hilarious but at the time…not so much. My little harem was not behaving as it should and I was not happy.
Despite this, I didn't put the book down because I just knew something had to be up...
The second third of the book, it started to make sense… and my anger started to dissipate and turn into sorrow and heartache. And by the last third of the book, the fear started to set in…
And then… all hell breaks loose.
It's crazy how much angst, suspense was packed into this book. My emotions were manipulated and played expertly by the authors. They both deserve a lengthy time out for the emotional damage they wrecked on me.
If you like sci-fi romance that is unique and well-written, that will make you a little ragey…and sad, and then a little ragey again… this is your series! If you are looking for some tentacles, a cyborg, two aliens complete with antlers, a lizard hunter, and a human… again… this is your series!
Of course I am going to keep reading, I have to know what will happen to Taln, Ryker, Ner, Kye, Fiona and Orion next. We are one step closer to the epic battle between good and evil… Fiona and Ner against the evil Lamia… I can’t wait. A must read recommendation from me!
This is the second book of Falling Star trilogy which needs to be read in order to get the whole story and for things to make sense - start with book one, Celestial Sins; there is also a novella, Homecoming, that takes place between book one and book two. This is a continuation of the action packed tale of Fiona and her reverse harem of males who are battling an evil queen (stepmother to one of Fiona's males) for survival and to ultimately save a planet and its peoples. There is some violence, but it's necessary to advance story - nothing gratuitous. The story features strong characters who are exploring their relationships with one another and growing as the trilogy progresses. Fiona, h, is more palatable to me in this second book - there are times I'm still not sure that I like her and find her less annoying in her treatment of the Hs, who I often find myself sympathizing over their treatment. Steamy action abounds throughout this second book, including special eggplants and crossed swords. The world building is great in terms of locales and supporting characters. Obviously, as the middle book in a trilogy, it's going to end on a cliffhanger - looking forward to book 3!
All is not well onboard the Naiad, and the crew are in danger on planet as well. There’s a lot that goes on in this story, and sometimes I wondered about the characters motives, but there’s never a dull moment. I really enjoyed this second book on this trilogy, and I can’t wait to read the thrilling conclusion.
🔥 “I do not desire you out of obligation, princess. I want you purely because I always have. I am not obligated. It is not part of my duty. I want to f@#k you until you scream, and it’s what I’ve wanted since the day we met.” ~~~ So much is happening here and so much is at stake! My mind was absolutely blown away!
Our magnificent group is not okay… Тhere is so much tension, anger, angst and confrontations between them. Bonds are tested and dangers and betrayals lurk behind every corner.
I really loved Fiona in this story! She’s grown so much. Yes, she might be a bit reckless but so much rests on her shoulders. And she’s trying to keep everyone safe despite the growing pressure. Even more, with all the training, she’s become such a badass!
And then we have our wonderful and badass males. I have loved all of them ever since I read the first story. I love how well they complement each other and how different their personalities are. And each one of them goes through so much… especially Kye. Oh, Kye… I wanted to hug him so, so tight.
Moreover, I was so looking forward to some particular MM action and I definitely got it. And, oh boy, let me tell you it was so HOT! 🔥🔥🔥
But, what I loved most about this story was Orion! I just adore this cocky, possessive and confident male and I was absolutely delighted to get more of him in this book. That sexy, dominant and dangerous assassin is my absolute favorite Mlok in the whole galaxy!
Overall, the story is another phenomenal addition to the series and a wild emotional rollercoaster. It’s filled with danger, drama, fast-paced action, twists, steamy romance and magnificent characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it! Can’t wait to see what happens next!
This story takes place in the near future after the events of book 1, where the group feels somewhat at home and at ease with one another-until things start to shift. Tension deepens, emotions run high and choices are made that shift what everyone knows and understands to be true.
I did not love the females actions but I really appreciated the maturity and handling of her actions in the eyes of some of the men, even if not everyone agreed! This book had lots of world expansion, political intrigue and exploration of myths & lore-as well as some awesome fighting!

Looks like I’m in the minority but I found that it was a bit too much angst. Yes variety is nice but it got a bit wearing after a while, juggling all of the different personalities and subtext. Maybe because of the politics and the scheming and then having to placate this person and that faction and the constant reminder that she was an inferior human could be what made me not really immerse myself into the story.
Yes, there was heat and if male on male is not your thing be aware. There was just something missing that made it hard for me to really connect and feel a sense of family with this harem.

Wow! Talk about a ride! I was so frustrated in the beginning if the book because nothing was going the way I wanted. By the time I started to level out, my heart was getting twisted and then it ends. I absolutely love this story and all of its ups and down and talk about the angst! But oh, there's so much love and tension and you just relax because it's only book two and you know that it'll all be worth it in the next one! I love the story telling and world building in these stories!.

I wanted to like this book much more than I actually did. The first part of this book was a mixed bag of what the heck is with these characters, to wanting to smack somebody. For me it didn't ever get the traction that I needed. For me, an average read at best, but since this series is available to read for free with your KU subscription, you can give it a try.

Action packed with plenty of danger. In this 2nd book of the Falling Star trilogy, there is a lot of tension between the characters. An incredibly exciting story with a lot of hot, steamy scenes. Cannot wait for the next book.

I loved this one. It really shines light on the sometimes messy consequences of a rh. Kye broke my heart a bit. I absolutely love this series so much. Cannot wait for the next one. This one does a good job at balancing politics with spice and plot.

I really enjoyed this story. It's book two in the trilogy and directly follows book one. Great world building. A lot of suspense and action. This book was an emotional adventure. Wonderful characters and steamy chemistry. By the end there's a lot happening and ends in a cliffhanger, setting up the final book in the trilogy. I recommend it, but start with book one. 5 stars.
The second book in the Falling story series, I would say to read this series in order as it is mainly about Fiona and the men that come into her life. There is suspense, drama, danger, villains, and romance. I want to read the next book to see what is going to happen. This book is beyond hot and the reader gets dragged right in and does not want to leave the world that was created. I really hope that this is the beginning of a new series I loved it

This is the second book in the Falling Star series and it is filled with angst and emotion. I loved the world building and the tension. This is a heck of an adventure filled with suspense and action. This is a great second book to this series.
A great follow on to the first book. Still a bit annoyed at some of the interactions between the main characters but enjoying the plot as well as the relationships. Weird alien sex intriguing!
