Linda Ford grew up devouring books and making up stories in her head—often late at night when she couldn't sleep. But she hadn't planned to write. Instead, she dreamed of running an orphanage. In a way, that dream came true. She married, had four homemade children, adopted ten and lived (at times, endured) the dream.
Writing first took her to non-fiction human-interest articles for newspapers and eventually a non-fiction book about tuberculosis set in the 1930s and 1940s (Touched By The White Plague). But romance had always been her first love and she turned to writing love stories. She is multi-published in the CBA market.
She lives on a small ranch in Alberta, Canada, where she can see the mountains every day. She and her husband continue to enjoy their children and grandchildren.
Adam A sweet western romance. Adam lives in Western Canada on a cattle ranch with the couple who took in him and his brother, Noah, after their father died and his mother quickly remarried. Their stepfather threw them off the family farm and left them to make their own way. Now both of the boys are grown and Noah has married. They still live and work on the Circle A Ranch with John and Maude, the people who had saved him and Noah and taught them what it meant to be part of a family again. Another of Maude and John’s boys, Sam, had been orphaned at a young age. He had set off with Maude and John to work on their ranch leaving his younger sister, Grace, behind at the orphanage in the hope she would be adopted by a good family. His hopes had come true but Grace and he had stayed in touch. Then one day Grace arrives for a visit and Adam is smitten by the beautiful young woman. But he and Sam are harboring a secret. When she finds out will she forgive them? Will she return his feelings? Will she ever be his? Wonderful story! Void 4 in The Citcke A Cowboys Series
This is a sweet love story. Sam and his sister Grace were serrated about eight years ago when their parents died and they were sent to an orphanage. Sam realized Grace had a better chance of being adopted if he was out of the picture as she was still quite young. He a two other young lads were taken to TJ he Circle A ranch and taught the cowboy ways and skills that gave them each a good trade in life. Grace was adopted and lived a well to do happy life. Adam and his brother are the other two lads that left the orphanage together and did have a good life. Sam wanted to write his sister but his writing skills were poor so he asked Adam to do the writing for him. Grace was thrilled and they started writing regularly. After Graces is older and her adoptive family move to another town Grace decides to go be with her brother. This is where the excitement starts. You will enjoy discovering how Adam and Grace find their happily ever after, despite the real writer of the letters is discovered by Grace.
Everlasting love. He was only trying to help his friend but it turn out to be so much more. She just wanted to see her brother again after so many years. Sam and Grace’s parents had died but Sam could not take care of her so she when to an orphanage. Luck would have it she was adopted and very much loved but a part heart belonged to Sam. She was thrilled when she received letters from Sam what she did not know was that it was Adam who wrote the letters. This is a tale about good intentions, it backfired a bit, but in the end love and forgiveness won out. I liked the book it was a good story, easy to read, with very likeable characters this is a book I am happy to recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily chose to review it.
It seems Adam’s relationship was built on a secret he was afraid to share with her. It was a great read from start to finish, but there were several long passages describing scenery that has previously been described in the first books in the series. As much as I enjoyed this story I found myself skipping passages to get back to the main story. I liked all the characters in the story and I’m glad that the author keeps the characters from Her earlier books in the current story. It keeps it interesting and makes it easier to relate to the story. So now I’m going to read the next book in this series.
Overtly Christian story with great characters. Adam chooses not to tell Grace that he wrote the letters, that she frequently refers to He chooses to wait for Sam to arrive. In the mean time, he shows her around.
Everything fell into place easily for them, once they got the point where they'd allow it. So the struggles were internal for this couple. They were surrounded by kind, helpful people that gave them the space they needed to work things out.
This was a really great story about Adam, Sam, and Sam’s sister, Grace. Adam and Sam were taken to the Circle A ranch and trained how to cared for the cows and horses by Maud and John. Sam’s sister was left at an orphanage, was adopted and raised by the Munroe’s. Sam was not very good with writing so he asked Adam to write to his sister for him. Grace came to the ranch to see her brother, Enjoy their journey about learning to care again.
God does indeed know our hearts. For one young woman looking to connect to her brother. She makes her way to the ranch to know she brother is. Does she find him? She goes to understand what is missing in her life. Does she find her forever family. I'm n the ranch she finds her brother, yes. His friend who has been writing letters for the brother. In the end she finds her Grace, joy and love.
Linda Ford always delivers a God honoring story that never disappoints. "Adam" is the latest book following the lives of six boys taken in by a loving couple in western Canada due to differing circumstances. Each book has shown God working in each life for good. If you enjoy books that speak of faith and hope, you will love reading this one.
WELL words of encouragement.....descriptive....reminders of our saviors love and love of family ... even friendship
This was a good book of love of family yet need for truth that only our Savior can give. Love for others, the world around us , Being thankful. Revealing our saviors love first then our soulmates.
Cyrano de Bergerac without the big nose. Adam was writing the non love letters to Sam's sister because Sam was not good with words to describe where and how he lived. Love bloomed like beautiful wildflowers and finally Adam and Gracie will live happily ever after. Thank you Linda Ford for another well written Western love story.
This is the fourth book in this series and another one falls in love.Adam has been writing to Sam's sister and when she travels to meet Sam she finds out the truth
She surprises her brother at the ranch. His best friend Adam has been writing to her as her brother for years, it’s a shock that he’s so familiar and her brother so stand-office. They confess and she leaves. But Adam’s not willing to let her go.
Another great book in this series about young boys becoming young cowboys and husbands. The Circle A brought six young boys too the far and trained them to become young responsible men. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
Grace is Sam's sister he left her to be adopted. Through the years he tried to stay in touch. But he has a difficult time corresponding and asks Adam for help. Through words in letters they encourage and help find faith. It takes awhile and adventure to find their places.
Is the best road to travel. Even half truths are still lies. Adam felt so guilty the last year or so signing Sam’s name to the letter he was writing for Sam to his sister. Adam knew she would mad when she found and oh she was. Another Awesome book on this series.
I love, love, love these western Christian books. How she takes a tragedy and turns it around. She made beauty out of ashes. Like how each character has a story to tell and how they find love.
Would his deceit keep them apart? She travels to find her brother after seven years. His letters have encouraged her and helped her through hard times. But he didn't write them. Good clean romance.
Deception breeds mistrust Adam writes letters to Grace but she thinks it’s from her brother Sam. She arrives to see her brother and figures out Sam couldn’t have written the letters. She feels betrayed and takes awhile to resolve it.
Even letters can bring joy and happiness when you learn who the true writer is. Helping a friend out is a good thing but never let it go too far. Especially when it is family believing the letters are from you.
Book 4 is a great story about falling in love with the sister of a friend... After having to get over small deception by finding out who she really is and why it's been done
