A good little read. Nothing crazy, but I will say, it came at a good time. I think it was more meant to be a one a day type of read. However, it helped me during a long night. And I found myself just thankful for the small reminders and verses that felt like easy reading. It was perfect for a late night where thoughts are running all over, and instead of spiraling on things that don’t matter; it was nice to read reminders and verses of God’s love over and over. Filing my mind and soul with His comfort instead of anxiety of this world.
Thankful for this lil read.

An encouraging devotional I enjoyed during my breakfast time. Short devotions that lift you up. I read three or four each day and they affirmed me.

This book is well meaning but problematic. Over the course of the book, the verses get more and more taken out of context and misapplied and the little devotional descriptions get increasingly “God is your boyfriend” type language which is honestly just annoying.

God DOES love us unconditionally, incredibly, never-endingly, but the verses this author chooses to try to fit the statements of the ways God loves us are a stretch. At first they were helpful to use as a jumping off point for further reading and study but in the end I felt like I was supporting lazy and out of context scripture quoting for self-centered purposes.
