Evangeline’s loyalty is tested even as she draws nearer to her husband, Ryor. He sent Daniel to a prison compound and although she wants to be furious, she’s found another of Queen Linda’s journals and its revelations leave no room for anger. Only more secrets. When Ryor learns Daniel is being abused at Apirno, he sends him to the Faeries for safe-keeping. But he has more to worry about than Daniel, even more than Evangeline’s anger. There is a traitor in the kingdom.
~~ God gave me a passion to write Romance. These books don’t contain explicit sex scenes, but my characters have real desires, struggles and choices to make. A lot of the time they make the wrong ones. No subject is prohibited, but good always triumphs and God is glorified. ~~ In my personal life, He has also blessed me with a wonderful husband and three dynamic children, all of whom are destined to make wide, colorful splashes in this world. We share our New Jersey home with three dogs. I have no hobbies to speak of, unless you include writing. I don’t. Follow me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/danapratola...
Readers must read Book 1 in the series before moving on to this story. Without it, they will not understand the storyline nor get the subtleties of the relationships between characters. Having said that, this second book lives up to the first in that it is, simply put, AWESOME! Period. I was all-in after reading book one and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this second installment. It continues the story of Evangeline, a captive from Earth who was taken as a bride for the Voren Prince Ryor. Their love story is hot, there is no doubt about it, but this volume expands on Evangeline’s friend, Daniel, who also inadvertently finds himself in this alternate world, and with devastating results. For faith-based stories, these books have a lot of ‘steam’ but it’s one of the things I appreciate about the author’s writing. She is unapologetic for including real desire and passion in her faith-based books. I will probably read the entire series again, as I have done with her Descended series.
