‘Bound not by blood but loyalty.
We live, we ride, and we die
by our own laws’

Becoming a Soul saved me from myself.
My compulsions are an asset to them, and a curse to me.
Doing my duty for the club provides me with the release I need,
But beneath the surface my demons still lurk.

Rogue’s fierce, strong and unpredictable,
and when she reaches out to the club
I’m the only one who can help her.

She can sense the monster inside me,
She also has the ability to summon it.
And now I’ll have to control them both in order to protect her.

Series: book 4

STORY:
This is book 4 in the Dirty Souls series. Damaged Souls was, for me, darker than book 3. I personally feel each title in the series represents the story and or character well, as Grimm was definitely a damaged soul. Before diving into book 4, the author also gave us a quick summary of all three books and that was helpful if you are following this series. His character was dark with this enigma about him. He is the cleanup guy and I feel a little of what he does makes him a little twisted in a good book way. Rogue was very aggressive with going after what she wanted. I really like her, and after you read her history, you see why she is the way she is. I will say this though, I always liked her interactions with Grimm, but other times not so much with other members’ girls from the group, but again, it’s her character’s make up.

Throughout the story, it weaves from past to present throughout the book with both Grimm and Rogue. Some readers aren’t a fan of that, but the snip bits that the author gives, definitely paints a past that shows you why they are the way they are. Also, the contents I will say has some strong triggers, especially the past, so be mentally prepared.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
The sex scenes were satisfactory. Because of whom both characters were, it brought of a sexy darkness to it the more they become involve.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
It’s always good to see past characters from each book and upcoming characters whose stories we will be seeing. They all stood out for me. Of course, we always have that sliding epilogue from the prez and that’s always interesting to see.

OVERALL:
If you are familiar with this series then you will know what to expect. Each book in the series the story gets darker and more interesting with the players. Looking forward to the next book.

TRIGGERS: violence and child sexual abuse

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

Somehow Emma Creed’s books keep getting better and better! And that’s saying something, since I rated the first book in this series 5 stars…
I absolutely love the world of the Lost Souls, including every single character. It’s dark, but not too dark, with plenty of angst and heartfelt moments. There’s a lot of suspense in each of the books. Rogue and Grimm both have tragic backstories; they are both ‘damaged souls’, as the title hints at. There are a lot of flashbacks throughout the novel, but they somehow never slowed down the pace of the story, and they served to enrich the background of the characters.
Rogue is a great heroine and I loved the progression of her character over the course of the novel. She has a unique personality. Grimm is also quite original, and I enjoyed getting to know him better, when in the previous books he’d just been in the periphery.
5 stars!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Opposites attract
Angst: 😰😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: drug use, sexual assault of a child, sexual assault, knife play

I just don’t know how Emma Creed does it! Every time she puts out a new story I am completely blown away and don’t think it can get any better. And then she does it again! As always, the character development is fantastic. These are characters that grip you tight and don’t let go. Twisted and quirky and ultimately redeemable. I LOVE Rogue. She’s kinda cray cray, but given her horrific background, it’s really not surprising. She’s a smile and fake it till you make it kind of girl. Grim is the opposite. Completely closed off. Super unapproachable. He is obsessive compulsive and can’t stand to be touched. Despite their obstacles, they are magnetically drawn to each other. He thinks he’s no good for her. Of course, the more he resists her, the more she wants him. He thinks he’ll ruin her, but she knows she’s already ruined anyway. And once Grimm is all in, he’s wiling to give up all his broken pieces to make her whole again, not knowing it’s going to complete him as well.

What a dark, twisted tale that grabs you by the throat and just does not let go. The storyline is fantastic, it’s told with lots of flashbacks. Folks need to really heed the trigger warnings. This is dark. BAD sh!t has happened to both of them. This series is just so fantastic and the writing, phenomenal. Every book has been my favorite and I cannot wait to see where it goes next.

Damaged Souls is the 4th book in the Dirty Souls MC and would best be enjoyed if read in order with the other books in the series.

I have been excited to read Grimm’s story ever since I finished reading Brax’s story, Vengeful Soul. My excitement was warranted as it truly is a fantastic story but one that will break your heart but also repair it again.

Grimm is an intriguing character but there’s just something that’s so likeable about him. Every little snippet of information about him that gradually builds his character profile makes you like him more and more. He is absolutely perfect for Rogue who is another fascinating character and a lot more like Grimm than even she realised. Together they have a combustible chemistry.

The traumas from Grimm and Rogue’s pasts are equally heartbreaking and devastating but at the same time binding for them. Although this is true, the manner in which things are revealed by the author is perfectly executed, I am so impressed with the overall balance within the story and I am huge on this issue. Yes, there is darkness. How could there not be? Yet there are lighter moments too that make you chuckle or silently fist bump. You definitely experience every emotion in the book and become a participant not an observer demonstrating the quality of the writing.

My mind is piecing things together about a major question that is unresolved and will be revealed in future books, however, I am probably totally wrong. 🤣 That’s fine by me, it’s the fun of guessing that I enjoy.

I definitely recommend this book and this whole series, it is sensational.

Let me just say, that per usual, Emma Creed has SLAYED me with this Dirty Soul!

This is the story of Grimm and Rogue and let me just say, buckle TF up! This is the dark and gritty stories of both the past and present of both characters & how it brings them together.

“You’re a fucking psycho.”
“Says the demon to the devil.”

Rogue has always been perceived as standoff-ish and I enjoyed getting to know more of her. Her inner dialogue of the club and the members was so fun to read.

Grimm is… well… grim.
“Jeez, kid, you’re real fucking grim”
He’s the dark horse of the bikers. He doesn’t waste time talking much unless he needs to, he hates to be touched, and has specific needs when it comes to sex with one of the club girls.

The flashbacks of both the characters past were done SO well. Flashbacks are sometimes difficult to incorporate in a smooth way, but Emma crushed it (not that I’m surprised!) We got to see their pasts and how it’s relevant to them now.

We also got to see a soft side of Skid from when he first met Rogue and took a liking to her 🖤 Their relationships makes my heart want to burst. Skid has always treated Rogue as he would a child of his own & now after everything he has lost, he’s even more protective of her.

“Machete?” Skid asks, sounding like a proud father.
“It appears so.”
“Told her that thing would come in handy someday.”

The banter that Emma always incorporates through each book is hilarious. Seeing these big bad bikers with soft sides for their women & bicker with each other like old ladies makes me love the books even more. I’m already desperate for the next book!

Once again Emma you blew my mind. First it was Jesse second was Nxy third was Brax🔥😈but Now it GRIMM & Rogue 😱😱😱😱😱

What happen to Grimm past will blow you away. And understand where he’s coming from. Why no one can’t put a hand on him.

Now Rogue her story will shock you even more. It’s worse then Grimm story. What that girl went through on young age. Until you understand where she’s coming from. The dirty soul men knew not to mess with her. You think they’re crazy she’s worse.

Turns out Grimm get a call that he haves to go to Rogue house. To clean it up. When he get their he see a mess. And bloodlust mess.

When you have to read it to find out not telling you. Ps you will not put it down.
It a honor to read this arc book 4 Emma Creed and being a part of this street team as well thank you so much 😊

P.s.s the romance 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

"...if she's what Satan has sent to test me...I'm completely fucked"
~Grimm

Grimm & Rogue romance is brilliant and is my fav out of the series so far. I love the main theme is memories. Grimm's family is his family that made him who he is today and is fighting against...no spoilers. Rogue this I can not spoil because we dive into her past because the man she murdered is link to something dark...no spoilers

Grimm & Rogue are made for each other because they beat their own demons!!

Skid I really need his story soo bad!! The flashbacks of him & Carly no spoliers but they broke me !!🥲

Every book from Emma and every next installment in the Dirty Souls series makes me so excited but leaves me so frustrated. I constantly want more. Emma sets up the story for the next book in the epilogue so even with the main couple conclusion there is still the underlying next drama and Im anxious for it.

Rogue has been in the background since book 1. Constant mention of how beautiful but crazy she is and how everyone tends to stay away. Her childhood was nothing short of horrific and my heart broke with every memory she had. She made herself strong, relying only on herself and pushing others away.

Grimm is known as the clean up guy. His back story is tragic and I was surprised by a twist I didnt expect. He has control issues and has always been thought off as a little "off" and that there had to be something wrong with him with how he behaved during clean up.

The darkness in both Rogue and Grimm call to each other. Rogue wants Grimm and although he wants her, he doesnt want to let himself go for fear of losing control. They have a push and pull and when they eventually give in to each other, its epic and glorious.

If you follow this MC series, this book is a great addition, BUT it does come with a trigger warning. It is sad and hard to read some of the abuse endured. Triggers are sexual abuse, drug usage, child abuse/neglect, and child sexual exploitation.

Emma has done it again, I am absolutely loving this series and every book in this series has been a 5 start rating, I own all the books on my kindle and after I finished Damaged Souls I purchased the paperbacks of the previous books in the series because I need them on my bookshelf.

Damaged Souls is the story of Grimm & Rogue who were made for each other. I loved how Emma connected these two broken souls together and over time how they healed each other. The trauma that they have both experienced was shocking to say the least and I loved how we got flashbacks from their past so we got the whole story of what has happened to them both.

If you are looking for a good MC Series to read that has a mixture of Dark & Light who's members value loyalty over everything then the Dirty Souls MC is for you.

Grimm is the darkhorse of the pack. The one that everyone knows is messed up but doesn't really know why. Rogue has been around since she was a child. She's the one that everyone hits on and the one no one can have. Yet Grimm calls to her. She sees the same darkness in him that she has in her.
Their pasts are dark, broken, and something no child should have to go through. Yet both of them survived and made their way to one another.
However, the fight for each other is just the beginning. Grimm fights his compulsive desires for Rogue. He doesn't want to unleash the monster he has deep within and she craves it.
They have this way of making the other forget the hurt, the destruction they have within. She makes him forget about the urges, the compulsion, the need. But with that, she strikes a new set of needs within him.
These two are messed up but the perfect person for the other. No one would be able to handle Rogue like Grimm can and vise versa.
Its what they're both afraid of sharing that gives them the strength needed when it comes to loving each other.

This was another epic read from a talented author who I can't get enough from.
Yet again I was sucked in from cover to cover, I got zero adulting in as I refused to look up from the pages until I had read the very last one and that should speak volumes.
I had a gut feeling this would be my favourite couple, and I wasn't wrong. They are absolutely perfect for each other. Lost Soul will always be one of my favourite books from this author (if you've read and are still reading this far into the seies you'll know why), but Damaged was almost on par with it thanks to this deliciously troubled duo.
Yet again the plot threads that tie the books in the series will blow your mind, get ready to sharpen those knives. You're going to get stabby!

Two dark souls waiting to find each other to heal from their horrible pasts. Grimm and Rogue are able to recognize the darkness within each other therefore they feel a big pulls towards one another. The gritty and rawness of their past gave them the strength and courage to face their demons head on in their present and definitely made for a good read. The MC has a great dynamic that has it’s light and heavy moments, plus the action always drew me in to see what would happen next. Can’t wait to see what else the author has for this club in the future as each story dives deep into all of the characters.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Excellent but dark

This series just keeps getting better. This book pushed boundaries the most thus far. There are some very triggering subjects portrayed in this book. So it’s not for the faint of heart. But I really loved the storyline. Two very damaged people, damaged through no fault of their own, find each other in the darkness and begin to heal in the light. It was so compelling. I can’t wait to read the next book. The overarching storyline in the series catches me unexpected multiple times. I recommend the series. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5

Grimm isn't like his brothers indulging in the club girls he's never welcomed their touch and uses them only when necessary.
Rogue has worked with Skid since he caught her stealing as a youngster and trained her to work in the clubs garage. She's always kept away from the mc until she needs their help.
Grimm has a darkness within him that shouts out to Rogue but he's kept his distance until Skid asks him to step in.
I've loved the take no rubbish attitude of Rogue and her character draws you in, this book gives you more understanding of her and Grimm and what shaped them into the people they are today.
Wow great book, I couldn't put it down.
Definite must read!

"I don't fear what comes next for us, because our damaged souls are already broken, and what's broken can't break. "

Damaged Soul is probably one of my favorite reads so far within this series! Rogue & Grimm were unlike any couple before them! Fierce, Stubborn, Jam Packed Full of Baggage & A Silent Understanding of what trauma looks like. These two have demons for sure BUT their chemistry and the pull towards one another was explosive. All whilst navigating an interwoven plot (that has continued to develop since book one) and that continues to get more and more complicated! I am so here for all of it! I love this series and I cannot wait for more from the Dirty Souls!

Another Hit!!

I truly love this author’s work and the darkness she brings to her stories. This is Grimm and Rogue’s story and it’s another book in the Dirty Souls MC series.

Both Grimm and Rogue have a heartbreaking backstory that would bring most to their knees. It is also because of their pasts that they can connect.

This is another awesome story in this series. I absolutely love Ms. Creed’s work and always look forward to more from her.

This was my favorite of the series so far.

Grimm and Rogue were so, so good. While all the books have dealt with some heavy themes, this got a little heavier.

I am loving how the author is creating this overarching storyline. The way everyone’s pasts are being tied together. It’s so interesting to see unfold. I’m having such a great time with this series!!

I was oh so ready for Grimm and Rogue’s story and it did not disappoint!! They both had tragic and hard upbringings but they persevered. Due to her dark past Rogue is a crazy beauty but also a killer. She fits Grimm’s dark soul like two puzzle pieces. Can these two damaged souls heal each other?

Book four follows the Grimm and Rogue.

Grimm is the clubs cleanup guy, the one that goes in to make sure no evidence of the club can be found.
Rogue is the mechanic that works at the club. She's so strong-willed and very determined to go after what she wants, and that's Grimm.

Both Grimm and Rogue have had a lot of trauma from their childhoods which has a huge impact on the people they are today and how they fit together is beautiful.

I personally think this is the darkest in the series so far, especially when reading the flashbacks.

Another amazing book from this series! Highly recommended!

As with the other books in this series, there are a number of TWs to be aware of including murder, SA, self harm and knife play.

What comes to light is dark. Not all that is dark is bad. What attracts a person to another? Could it be hatred? Could it be love? You just do not know until it clobbers you with a massive fist coming your way and knowing no way to grasp, cling or keep that feeling coming for you. Grimm knows death, he knows that their is something out there that is pure evil in the guise of a man who thinks he is a god. Grimm knows. Rogue, all she wanted was to be the best little girl for her father. Dealing with an addict is tricky, as you think you are helping them, when in reality you are only encouraging behavior that is as wrong as it is deadly. She has so much built up inside of her as far as anger goes that the only thing she has to count on is Grimm, but he is battling demons of his own and they are internal. Those that no one can see but you know they are there. I love these two together. She has just the right amount of light to Grimms dark. Love this series! Oh I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us in the coming books. IF you have not found the Dirty Souls yet, NOW is the time to GRAB this series! It has everything that you can want to feel within these pages! Wrotten by an author who knows how to deliver a PHENOMENAL story filled with angst, suspense, drama, death, and most of all LOVE! Trust me you want this author on your shelf to enjoy at your leisure! SO come meet Rogue and Grimm and catch up with all the others!

Holy Crap!! Another home run!!! I was glad that this story was about Grimm & Rogue. I knew they would be a match made in Hell!!

I was looking for a new series and I stumbled upon this series by Emma Creed. I am so happy that I did as it is a fantastic series but you will need a box of tissues beside you as this series will rip your heart out and make you want to throw your Kindle at the wall!!

This is book 4 in Emma Creed's Dirty Soul's MC Series. It is Grimm and Rogue story. In order to really understand/enjoy this book I would recommend reading the other books in this series starting with "LOST SOUL".

Grimm is the MC Clean Up guy. Whenever there is a bloody mess to clean up than they call him. He has a tragic past and this will help you to understand why he is the way he is. He has control issues and thinks he has a monster inside him and if he gets too close to Rogue then he will hurt her. In order for him to make sure that doesn't happen he keeps a tight lid on his emotions an keeps mostly to himself.

The Dirty Soul's is his family and he would do most anything for him.

Rogue is a tuff, kick ass woman who is strong and doesn't take crap from anyone. Most people think she is crazy and they try to stay away from her. She acts tuff because she doesn't want to rely on any one and she is afraid of being hurt again. She works in their garage, in her pink overalls. Skid thinks of her like a daughter. When she was eight he caught her stealing and from then on he has taken her under his wing .

Grimm and Rogue are very much alike and can understand each another. They crave the darkness in one other and they both want to protect each other.

This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. Always, when reading one of Emma's books, I find myself going through a wide range of emotions. I found myself laughing, crying, cheering and yelling at my Kindle because I couldn't believe what was happening.

This book is well written with wonderful characters and a believeable world that I want to be a part of.

I am always excited to read one of Emma Creed's books but I am also sad because I know that to start it I will have to finish it and I love this world she has created along with her kick ass characters. They have become friends that I love hanging out with.

I highly recommend this book and this series! This book has a little bit of everything in it. If you like MC books then this one is for you. There is kick ass fighting, family and friends protecting one another, along with hot steamy love scenes.

If you have not picked up a copy of Damaged Soul from the Dirty Soul's MC Series, I don't know what you are waiting for, stop what you are doing and go do it now! I guarantee, you will love it as much as I do!!

I was given this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I won’t become him. I won’t ruin. I won’t destroy.

Does our upbringing define us?
Will we follow in their footsteps?

Do we allow the shadows of our past consume our very being?

I make the rules now. Even if it comes with a price.

With every kill there comes the clean up, the worthless scumbag needs to be taken care of and no, a funeral is not on the cards, at least in the traditional sense, but the club does have the man for the job.

Grimm.

The one with an eye for detail and with one look off Grimm you know to keep your distance. But you can’t help but feel drawn to Grimm, to see the man behind the high stone walls that he has built around himself, a mystery with a secret that he keeps locked away with the demon inside of him.

But, it seems those restraints that Grimm keeps on a tight leash are about to be pulled and tied up in knots.

She doesn’t belong here, why is she trying to push my limits? It’s too much. I’m not strong enough.

Rouge may be Grimm's ultimate test that has his demon purring with sinful joy and Grimm fearing just how far her can push his limits...because there’s something about Rouge that Grimm just can’t deny anymore.

Like calls to like after all, Grimm doesn’t fear tainting her...just allowing her to touch his darken damaged soul.

“He made the mistake of putting me in a position where it was him or me...I chose me.”

She may be tiny and a blonde bombshell...but, Rouge is far from the innocent pretty girl in need of a knight to come and save her...hell Rouge is the type of girl to slay her own monsters leaving them bleeding as she flicks her blood soaked hair.

Rogue is tough. Rogue got her life straight. No one fucks with her, and no one can hurt her.

With a spunky attitude and no fu*ks given, Rogue is a woman with a hardshell around her and hides her twisted past beneath her make-up, pinkoverals and with a glare that dares anyone to try and mess with her.

Rouge past however, is coming back to haunt her and now swallowing her pride with no other option Rouge must stay with the Dirty Souls. But Rouge isn’t about to be told what to do and being with the one biker who always caught her eye, Rouge is going to have to work hard to push against Grimm untouchable walls.

“And don’t worry, I ain’t gonna kill ya in ya sleep.”

“That’s reassuring.”

But, seeking the thrill of the darkness that swirls inside both of them...also exposes those secrets that have been kept hidden all this time…

I want her under my control. I want to own her, and Rogue isn’t the type of girl to be owned by anyone.

Oh holy hell….Grimm & Rogue…<3 Oh flaming heck these two are soo sinfully dark and hot together. I love chemistry, the spice and the flames that Grimm and Rogue light up inside each other. Pushing each other their limits and feeling each other in ways that no one has ever done.

Two damaged broken souls colliding and totally perfect together.

“And what if that’s exactly what I am, Grimm? Worthless.”

“We both know that ain’t true…”

I wasn’t expecting Rouge to be Grimm's potential soul, but my gosh everything suddenly becomes clear why these two call to each other and as the story develops...totally works and seeing the different side to both of these characters as well. Emotional and with a twisty dark edge that is evident from the start, your mind really does start to wonder and put all the pieces together...but when you do...boom!

I LOVED IT! I was very excited and fell hard for these characters! The current story flows perfectly, I love that we have all of the characters within this series and ones we’ve only briefly met, you just know their stories are going to be epic!

Our damaged souls are already broken, and what’s already broken can’t break.

Prez never fails with his next brother...and definitely going to cause some trouble that we can see coming on the horizon...
