It's a little bittersweet, but this is the last issue of Deep Magic. One of my stories is included in it, The Falling of the Archeantus. There's also a story by Charlie Holmberg too and some other debut authors which were simply amazing. Running Deep Magic for the last five years (our second incarnation) has been a joy. So grateful to everyone who was part of it with us.
I only read "The Turning Scourge" by Holmberg. The other stories didn't appeal to me. Her story was a paranormal one about a woman asked to make a sacrifice to save one particular woman and perhaps for the good of humanity. It was haunting.
Fantastic, final issue for Deep Magic E-zine. As always, lots of feels in these stories. I love how authors can be experimental with the short fiction and we see different concepts we don't normally get in long fiction.
I appreciate clean, well-written stories and Jeff Wheeler & crew have consistently delivered over the years. Highly recommend these entertaining anthologies.
Thanks for all you, for authors new and old, for selections from authors like Jeff Wheeler who writes more fantasy than sci-fi but delivers well in any case
