He's built like a beast, he rules like a king, and he f**ks like a god. As president of the Savage Raiders MC, Odin works hard but plays harder. He can have anything and anyone he wants…and he has. He revels in it. It isn’t arrogance when it’s true—and every woman knows that being with him is like dying and going to…Valhalla.

The Savage Raiders is the richest, hardest, and deadliest MC in Las Vegas, and they rule with an iron fist…which makes getting what they want that much easier.

So why isn’t she giving him a second look? And why does he f**king care that she wasn’t falling for his charms, his name, or his money? And why the hell does he want her more than he's wanted anything else in his life? She's built like a Norse goddess, is fierce and badass, is sexy as hell—and she doesn’t even know it.

When the MC is targeted by an enemy, his woman is dragged into his dangerous world, and it takes everything the Savage Raiders have to keep her safe.

One look at his Valkyrie is all it took to bring him to his knees. So the savage king is going to make her his queen—and damn whoever gets in his way.

Savage King is a sexy, BBW, MC romance and is the first book in the hot, thrilling Savage Raiders MC series. No cheating. No cliffhangers. A satisfying HEA.

This book was set to release back in January of 2022. Since the author pushed back the release date, I figured it was to make sure there were no errors and that the story was going to be good. I was wrong! There are errors in the book and it was a cliche.

I love the concept of a physically strong, former military woman. It’s different. However, that’s the only thing different about the heroine. Everything else? The same as any other book. She’s still very inexperienced. She’s still a scorned woman who’s not over what her ex did. She’s still putty in the guys hand as soon as he touches her. We see this even when she had the right to be mad, when she should have been mad about what he let happen with the club woman.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: instalove
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

I hadn't read Eve Black before, so I wasn't sure what I was getting, but this book really hit the spot. Completely OTT instalove with an OTT hero who falls first and is completely possessive and obsessive of his woman. The heroine is a bad ass that's still got a bit of vulnerability to her. Loved it and will definitely be reading the other books in the series. Super yummy!

This was over the top instalove for me. I had a hard time with some of the plot points and while I liked Skathi, Odin rubbed me wrong and seemed very weak willed to me at times.

I didn't hate this but the author didn't sell me on this couple.

Also, the epilogue was not an epilogue, it was a segue into the next book. None of the epilogue gave us any insight into Odin and Skathi's relationship down the line. How did it go with the claiming? Where is she working? Is she on the council? Did the author let her get her own bike or is she seriously riding behind Odin? I felt like the author made her a warrior and then demoted her to Odin's helpmate and I was hoping to find out that that didn't actually happen.

I gave this a good college drive, but I could not finish it.
The woman was a 6’2” built woman ex-military. He ex-husband did not leave her in a good place. She had a lot of insecurities. She meets the hero who in an MC and is 6’10” and built as well. Great concept, but I just don’t think this was for me. Everything was just emphasized and explained to much. I am not sure if it was the story or the characters that had me giving up half way.
The switch in POVs was redundant.

Hoooly shit! This book blew my mind. I've been one of Eve's ARC readers for years, but this book is by far her best one. This book has it all: suspense, smexy times (super hot!), big growly bikers, romance, great secondary characters, and humor. I didn't just fall in love with Odin, I fell for all the guys of the Savage Raiders MC.

Now...Skathi...where do I begin with her? This woman is seriously badass! Godsdamn! Not only is she big and tall (at 6 foot 2), she is also an elite SOLDIER and combat specialist who kicks serious ass. Sadly, she's known heartbreak so she is shy about letting Odin in, and she's outspoken and confident and compassionate. She lives up to her nicknames, that's for sure. Skathi is seriously one of the coolest heroines I've read in a while. Yeah, she has her insecurities when it comes to her looks, but she is badass bitch when it comes to taking care of the people she loves.

This book was so well written, and the villain is so fucking nasty. Ugh. I just can't.

That said, I cannot WAIT to see what happens with Hawk and this woman he's been obsessing over in the next book.

Odin & Skathi

They were built like god and goddess. She didn't believe a man who truly looked like him would be interested in her. She wasn't the model-like blond but over six feet with strength and muscle. His constant pursual made her fight her feelings and refuse to let him near. But, no woman refused him, and now that he'd found the one made for him he would have her. He just had to find her. One of his newly patched brothers made the mistake of not taking no from the young woman under her protection. Something as President he would not tolerate. But no need to step in as his woman was more than capable. To his consternation, she got away with the younger woman.

I like that while she resisted it wasn't so long it seemed unrealistic. They were a great unique couple and the club, steam, great characters, enemies make this an irresistible book. One I literally could not put down. Don't miss this one--it will grab and not let go.

I hate to sound like an old cliche but here goes. I am a first time reader of Eva Black and I am so glad I found her. Better yet, I am glad Savage King was my first read of hers because it’s simply outstanding. It’s well written, full of hot romance and MC action with characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. The Male and Female leads are strong, independent and know what they want and plan on getting it no matter what it takes - even if they bump heads a little to get there. This book drew me in from the start and absolutely refused to let go til the very end.

Odin is the Prez of the Savage Raiders MC. A Club that rules Vegas. The guys have it all, looks, money, deadly force and women out the wazoo, especially Odin. He is rough tough and has women falling at his feet because of his behind doors reputation. So why is it that the one woman that catches his eye, Skathi, doesn’t seem interested?

As for Skathi, she is a true female warrior. She’s big and tall and well built, but as an elite soldier that comes in handy. She is tough as nails on the outside but due to past incidents and comments about her appearance, she also has an inner vulnerability. Yet she is confident in her actions and it shows to all that dare to cross her.

These two together, well all I can say is grab up the book and hold on tight. It’s an Outstanding read and I personally can’t wait for more from the Savage Raiders MC of Las Vegas.

2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars

This is the first book I’ve read about this author and it won’t be the last. She has well developed characters and the story line is intriguing, entertaining, drama filled an action packed. This is Odin, the Prez of the the Savage Raiders MC, and Skathi’s story. Skathi is a bada$$ elite soldier. Odin has women fallen at his feet so when Skathi doesn’t he is intrigued by her and that makes him want her even more. She is confident and tough as nails on the outside but on the inside she is vulnerable due to past incidents. These two work well together only if they can watch each other‘s backs. I can’t wait to see where this series goes!!!

Odin is the President of the Savage Raiders MC in Las Vegas. They are a force to be reckoned with. He's a beast of a man standing six foot, ten inches tall and all of him is in proportion. He can't find a woman fits his ideals until the night of a patch in party when Skathi Odinsdottir lays out one of the club brothers. She's his Valkyrie in every way. She's over six tall, a warrior woman, and was part of the Danish special forces. She's perfect for Odin. When danger comes to the club and Odin's woman is dragged into the fray, he will fight for her to the very end. He's not about to lose his chance at happiness.

Odin is president and he is sick and tired off all the drama. He needs to find what he is missing and get on with life. Skathi is a soldier. Tried and true. She is all woman but can land you faster than you’ll see coming. These two are absolutely perfect for one another if they don’t get killed. Excellent writing.

Savage King by Eve Black is the First book in the Savage Raiders MC Series. This is the story of Odin and Skathi. Odin is the President of the Savage Raiders MC which is the most successful MC in Las Vegas. Odin can have pretty much anything and anyone but for him something has been missing. But one night at a Patching in party he sees Skathi taking down a man which sparks a interested but he is drawn to her. Skathi is a Danish Special Forces Soldier who is about 6'2 with some mad kicking but skills so due to all of that her self esteem as a women has taken a hit pretty hard. So when Odin starts hitting on her she fights his connection because she doesn't trust his honesty towards her because of the self esteem issue. But danger has come for the MC and the will all need to fight off this danger. This was a hot exciting read.

This is a new author to me
Yeah, I’m not gonna pull any punches on this review
First and foremost, there’s something about the writing style that just throws me off. It could be just me, but I had a hard time I think by the second chapter trying to just figure out what the hell is going on. The author does a lot of back-and-forth with different POV’s but you don’t know what you’re really reading right away because none of the chapters are marked accordingly

This was definitely Insta love, and honestly, I busted out laughing because I swear some of the sex scenes were more like bad porn 🫣🤭🫠 so feel to read in for the entertainment 🤣

Grammaticalerrors are plenty

And don’t be fooled there is no epilogue, it’s a chapter from the next book 🤨

Well, one down in the series we’ll see how far I go

Do I recommend? YES!

Tropes: MC romance, romantic suspense

This book BLEW! MY! MIND! It was my first read by Eve Black and it will most definitely not be the last. Odin is the president of the Savage Raiders MC. They are the richest, hardest and most dangerous MC in Las Vegas. This man is built like a beast. I mean he’s 6'10" tall. My husband is 6’5 and I’m constantly having to crane my neck back. I can’t imagine what Odin would be like in person. Oh course, he is badass and a legend in the bedroom. Women flock to him just because of his reputation in said bedroom. Then he meets his dream come true. These two were a match made in Valhalla! Skathi is 6’2” and his perfect match in every way. She’s an elite soldier and combat specialist who can take a man and lay him out with one punch. Unfortunately, her self-esteem regarding her looks and sex appeal have taken a hit over the years. She doesn’t trust Odin's attraction, at first, so she resists. He doesn’t understand. The usual come-ons don’t work. He sees her as a Norse Goddess and his Valkyrie queen, if she would give him a chance. Before he can convince her, an enemy of the MC makes their move and she gets pulled into the MC's business whether she wants it or not. Action-packed, page turning events finish out the book with a King and queen, who are made for each other, try to survive and earn their HEA. If you love MC romance or romantic suspense books, then you have to give this book a chance! SO GOOD! This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Instant love on the hero’s part. Heroine resisted just a little.
Hero had a little bit of growing up to do when it came to sharing but he succeeded

Hero-ex military, mc president, alpha, BIG guy everywhere.
Heroine-ex military, gun expert, badass with a soft side, BBW

Hero needed someone who could take…..umm…ALL of him without breaking🥵🥵🌶🔥🌶🔥
Sex scenes were❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Definitely be prepared for mc grittiness. A lot of triggering situations going on in the story but not to the main characters.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a great start to series. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Odin and Skathi together, they really suit each other. Skathi tried resisting Odin but both had a strong pull to each other.

I can't wait for more.

(5 Stars)

I was not expecting the read that this turned out to be. This had everything a reader could want in an MC story; alpha male, kickbutt heroine, violence, danger, hot naughty moments. Odin and Skathi (no clue how that gets pronounced) are a really great first story to this series. I wish the epilogue had actually been about Odin and Skathi so we could "see" what they were up to in the future, but I do love the little intro into the next of the series. I give this 5 stars.

not a fan of third person

It was a great story line and would have done better star wise if the writing format was done in first person. Plus there quite a few spelling errors along with grammar errors. It took me a bit to finish it. I did end up skipping pages when the author over described things, things that didn’t need that lengthy description.

What I liked: It was refreshing to read a heroine that was not thin or petite. Skathi(h) is a tall, muscular figure badass that knows how to take care of herself. She was an elite military personnel and didn’t need no man to take care of her. She was loyal to her friends and Odin(H) was the right man for her. Odin was a great hero that was all in as soon as he saw Skathi, which is rare to find in an MC book.

What I didn’t like: I wanted the bad people to suffer more. Those poor girls went through hell and they die a quick death made me mad.

Descriptive Sex: Yes

***Major Spoilers/Details/Triggers: H is the president of an MC and spots the h when she is at one of his party’s watching a friend. One of the MC brothers gets a little to rough with the h’s friend and h beats the guy up. h is a badass that trains people for them to fight professionally. She has elite military background that was married to a guy that used her for her military background (cheating on her and calling names because of her masculinity body). H wants her right away and goes after her. One of old ladies who’s man died also wants the H and causes problems. Also a bad guy who works for the cartel wants the gun range that the h works out and the H’s MC is purchasing. The bad guy kidnapped some of the MC’s women who work at the bordello. Later, they kidnap the h’s friend thinking she is the one dating the H. While rescuing the women they find out that the ow and a Mc brothers was a working with the bad guys. They save the women and the bad guys plus the traitors are killed. HEA

Final thoughts: This book was a great beginning to a new series. I definitely will read the next one.

Skathi goes to an MC clubhouse with her friend who gets assaulted by a club member. She goes in and downs the club member. While she is using the moves she learns in the Danish military, the president of the club sees her and is struck by her beauty and size. He is instantly smitten. Skathi is not as she knows what MCs are into plus, she sees him with two petite bimbos on his arms. Not thinking they will ever see each other again, they are surprised to meet when Odin shows up where Skathi works at a gun shop/range. He pursues her. She finally accepts that he may mean what he says. With bumps along the way, will they be able to handle those bumps? Will they be able to lay their pasts to rest? Will they be able to handle each other?

I loved this book. Skathi and Odin are great together--tall, big, big appetites. I could understand their attraction to each other. I could also understand Skathi's hesitancy. I liked that Odin learned, usually after talking with Trouble. I have to admit I had the traitor wrong. The ending is a little violent but fits right in with the book. I look forward to reading more of this series.

The plot of this book and the heroine are fascinating. The MC is also really cool and the Vegas setting is fun. What isn’t great? The near CONSTANT discussion and mentioning of the hero’s super big d!ck, how big he is, how god like he is, blah blah blah. It was overkill. Then we meet the heroine and she’s tall, large, and a goddess. I don’t know how many times the book went over and over how tall, goddess like, fertile, big, etc. The heroine was/is. It was freaking annoying. The writing was good/great till some of the dialogue during sex scenes - holy awkward and ick in some places. I did give this three stars because I loved having such a strong female that wasn’t the traditional skinny, tiny, blonde MC chick and and she was a hot soldier (and that did it for Odin too). The plot was fun too and different in quite a few ways. It was good enough that I will give the second book a try because I’m intrigued by Hawk and quite a few other MC brothers.

Unexpected fine

Coming across Eve Black book was a welcome suprise. Skathi and Odin story was a great read. Odin a big man in always never thinking he meet someone who matched him. Skathi a big woman burn badly by her ex couldn't believe that this man wanted her. Their family both deep in old tradition but carved out their own destiny's.

The story is pack full of danger, love, betrayal . Also you will read an old friend at the end. Can't wait for the next one

Love it but one upsetting scene

I loved the H and h. The president is portrayed as an in control, smart, strong man. Yet at a big party in which he thought the h wasn't coming he got sloppy drunk and allowed a slut to kiss and grope his cock. He blamed alcohol! The h just took him back and that was frustrating. I thought less of the H and h after that. Its the reason for the 3 stars.

I know, I know, I’m so fickle, but I really think Odin is a contender for my new #bookhusband. A huge, and I mean HUGE, Norse beast of a man, with uncontrollable passions that match his size. Utterly delicious. 😋

Odin falls hard for Skathi, on their first meeting. Skathi is a trained killer; a 6 foot plus goddess with no idea about how desirable she is, she tries (and fails) to hold Odin’s attentions at an arm’s length.

Savage King follows Odin’s attempts to tame his Valkyrie, whilst betrayal and external threats put them, and Odin’s club, The Savage Raiders, in grave peril.

I do love discovering a #newtomeauthor and a new #mcromanceseries that grips me from the get-go, and makes me desperate for more. Can’t wait for future books in this series.

Great Love Story

This was my first Eve Black book. I was hooked from the first chapter. The love story built around 2 strong people who were destined to be together from their first glance.
The snark comments from the "Goddess" to the self assurance of the "God" made for a great read.

So looking forward to the next book in this series.

New author for me. I liked both MCs especially the heroine. Looking forward to read the next book in this series. HEA, no cheating (there’s one tiny bit where the H let’s another OW squeeze his junk and Kiss his neck while he was waiting for heroine to arrive).
