Keegan hasn’t had the best luck with Doms or dating, but he’s not letting that stop him from finding Mr. Right…or maybe that should be Mr. Flirty and Mr. Stern but Sexy. When a promise leads him to the Bound & Controlled club, his artistic nature can’t help being pulled to two very different Doms, but who says he has to pick just one?
Julian and Niall know they’re no good for each other. They’ve been down that path, and all they found was frustration and baggage. But when a too-sweet-for-his-own-good artist bounces into the club, they have to decide if they’re willing to let the past get in the way of what could be a perfect future.
Sometimes love is easy…sometimes love is hard…but it’s always worth fighting for.
Story Contains: M/M/m romantic content, BDSM elements, one artist who sees things a little differently, one switch with a stubborn streak, and one Dom with more baggage than he’s willing to admit. There are mentions of past trauma but nothing on page and nothing explained in detail.
Author’s Note: While this can be read as a standalone, it will make the most sense if you read the series in order.
Shaw Montgomery loves reading, traveling, and family. While not necessarily in that order, they all rank pretty close. Shaw has lived all over the United States and even Germany. While the coast of North Carolina is a favorite place Shaw currently lives in the Western United States. Current wish list places to travel to are Australia, Italy, and Scotland.
When Shaw wants to write about things that are a little more taboo (or sometimes a lot more taboo), Shaw writes under the name M.A.Innes.
There is always room for the demonstration of love as relationships are carefully woven into a network of caring connections and vital links between loving family and friends. It is not the restraints that relate love, but they accentuate the senses and feelings that make partners cling together in love and understanding.
I’m not sure how I feel. My initial thought is meh. I kept comparing this to Embracing Faith, and this came up lacking. Maybe my expectations were to high.
Keegan is an adorable new sub. He meets Julian at the club. Keegan also meets Niall at the club and is drawn to both men.
Of course Julian and Niall have a history.. I looked forward to seeing how they overcome their past difficulties to work towards what could be an amazing future.
Can Keegan bridge the physical and emotional distance as well as the past issues between Julian and Niall?
"I knew they'd never get where Keegan wanted them to unless he showed Niall what he needed. And the irony that was going to be the one to push them together even more wasn't lost on me.. If I fucked things up between us because I'd fixed shit between them, I would never forgive myself." I like all the open, honest and awkward conversations they had. It gave an authentic feel to their growing relationship.
"Sometimes I wonder who the Doms in this relationship are. He's very pushy for a sub. I've had that thought several times already. Is there such a thing as Domming from the sub? Like topping from the bottom but with more manipulation?"
A super sweet, sexy, romantic and emotional story. It is fun as well as funny. I loved how these men fit together and lengths they went to accommodate to ensure each other's happiness.
Keegan hasn't had any luck with Doms or dating but he won't let it stop him from searching for the right person after a visit to Bound & Controlled it might turn out to be two sexy men one of whom is flirty and the other is stern. Julian and Niall know they are not good for each other as they already tried once before when it ended in frustration and lots of baggage that was in the way. When the sweet artist bounces into the club they have to decide if they can move past what was in the past in order to all have a perfect future. Sometimes love is easy…sometimes love is hard…but it’s always worth fighting for.
I loved this story with the complication of Niall's past, the complication of the shared history between Julian and Niall and Keegan who was like a wrecking ball just being sweet, flirty, demanding, extremely talented as an artist and obsessed with earning orgasms. I loved the way that Keegan was the glue that held them all together and that he wasn't shy about being a dom from the bottom if the situation demanded it. I loved that it slowly developed into love and a special future. Easy to feel, read and understand. This story contains mature MMm content with BSDM-like behaviours involving an artistic sub, a switch and a Dom.
This story was very well done. Keegan was a very confident submissive, and he was in charge of this relationship from the beginning. He knew that he wanted both Julian and Niall, and he wanted them to work our their issues so that the three could have a relationship together. The dominants were amused and enchanted by Keegan and couldn't resist his charms. They also had feelings for each other despite a failed past effort at a romance. There were suggestions of past trauma for one character, as well as lingering effects on his life, but the majority of the book was fun and sexy. I loved seeing Niall struggle to understand Julian's needs as a switch. The road to becoming a triad was not easy, but the care the three men had for each other was never in doubt. I loved all three characters and was very entertained by their interactions as they fell more and more in love. This was a great addition to the Tender Control series.
I have been wanting this book. We had been getting teased about something going on between Niall and Julian. Keegan is their missing piece to make the connection fit. I haven’t read many switches but I do think a third of some kind is needed. These three are such great characters. Here is where it gets tricky for me. I needed more. I have some connection to them but not completely which is odd with Shaw’s characters. The problem is to truly do their story would probably involve more than one book. I think three to be honest because there is so many layers to each guy and to completely encompass all that they are individually as well as together would be a lot of work. But I couldn’t see this series working without us getting this book either. Maybe we can beg later for more. It made me want to go back and read some of the older stories too.
Shaw Montgomery may have a Sub problem. They seem to get quirkier and naughtier every book. Good thing that her Doms, in this case two Doms, are up for the challenge they represent. And we get to read about all the silly, quirky and downright sexy times. Win, win for all. Keegan is an artist, who grew up the son of a woman who trained Doms and setup kink clubs for a living. He's had time to think about what he wants and needs in a relationship. And what he wants is Niall and Julian. The Doms don't stand a chance. And truthfully, they don't put up much of a fight as the artistic Sub manipulates them into the relationship they all need. There's a little angst. Niall has a bit of a troubling past. But the overall tone of the book is joyful. It was a very enjoyable read. Hopefully Shaw Montgomery won't tire of the Bound universe. Because I know that I never will.
This was a wonderful addition to the series! Keegan, Julian, and Niall have a fascinating and complex dynamic. I liked how Keegan, although fairly new to the scene, came into it with so much knowledge and inner strength. Although the sub in the relationship and much younger than the other two, there was never any doubt who was in control. His relationship with his mother was hysterical, even though I could understand why Niall thought she was scary. I also liked how both Niall and Julian weren’t portrayed as cookie-cutter dom and switch. Not too many authors focus on traumatized doms and this added a fascinating layer to the story.
Julian, Niall and Keegan decided to consciously fight for their love and a long term investment in their shared future with open honest communication, hot fantasies and therapy. Here the D/s relationship among them seemed fluid with Keegan domming his Doms even though he is their submissive, Julian being a switch and Niall constant worrying over fouling things up between them. I loved Keegan as the talented artist yet bouncy sub who acts as the human bridge between his two Doms. This was a good read and I’ll continue to read series by Shaw Montgomery and her alter ego MA Innes.
I loved the three. Keegan is flirty and fantastic in all of his interactions even when he is fixing his Doms. Julian is wonderful even as he tries to find the balance between his two desires. Niall has a lot from his past that is preventing him from getting what he wants, but the other two won't let that keep them apart.
There is more than enough to give these three another book and I want to read about Keegan's next art show. I truly enjoyed this book and the characters. I liked how they came together and how they held on.
Niall, Julian, and Keegan are just amazing together. I love the dynamic between them and how much they work to make their relationship work. It's not an easy road, but they know that all relationships take hard work. Niall and Julian have history, and things just didn't go well for them the first time around. But the little spitfire Keegan shows up and becomes the bridge between them. Keegan is able to help them both with issues that have been holding them back from each other. I really enjoyed their journey.
This is a more unusual M/M/m D/s novel in which the sub is an utterly charming and intelligent artist, Keegan. He sees the world in such a different and creative way that he forms relationships with two Doms, Julian and Niall, who also have troubled history with each other. Keegan sees himself as the bridge to help unite the three to bring healing and love. The story is fresh, light, and hot. A very pleasant read.
I loved seeing Julian and Niall figure out why their relationship hadn't worked previously -- communication is both difficult and amazing when it finally happens. Keegan is fabulous at translating what each of them is feeling and why the other is holding back (intuitive leaps in understanding ftw!), and his mom is absolute aces for how she's both supported him and given him room to be his independent, authentic self. Sexy and oh so satisfying!
Shaw Montgomery’s stories always make me smile. Between cute and cheeky subs to Dom’s who need care and love or vice versa, love and laughter and some heat is always guaranteed. Julian and Keegan are the perfect foil to Niall and Keegan’s mother was brilliant. A really enjoyable read.
Another incredible book. This is the story of Niall and Julian who we know from the other books in the series, and their boy Keegan. I fell in love with these guys. I especially loved Keegan'. And as with every other book written by Shaw Montgomery, I could read more of these guys. No one does sweet and Hot better.
I wasn't sure about this book. I was curious how Shaw would take a mmm book, and I wasn't totally disappointed. The tentitcle scene is what threw me the most. That isn't appealing to me at all. But overall, an ok read.
I was in love with Keegan by the end of page one. As always, my only complaint is these stories are never long enough for me but I know I'm greedy. I'd probably still have the same complaint if they were doubled.
Absolutely oved this book. It made me laugh with all of the antics the Sub did plus the fascinating way he instigates the action between the two Doms. I have read the other three stories in this Series and loved them all. Going to buy more from this Author.
I have read all of both series and this one is my favorite. All of the stories touch in different aspects of every day life as well as lifestyle. This one just seemed to touch me more.
Keegan was cute, but I was much more interested in the relationship between Julian and Niall. Their resolution ended up feeling a bit rushed in between the otherwise delightful sexiness.
I tried reading this book, I just have trouble understand this book and why someone let someone have control in sexual way. This not for me. I read 40% of the book.
I liked the story very much. The dynamic between Julian,Nail and Kee Kee is lovely, exciting, problematic but so sweet to the end. Now I put down my pinked glasses.
I thought the book was slow and not memorable. The writing was not clear, especially at the start of the book. I did not find Keegan believable as a person. Both he and his mother were manipulative and somewhat annoying. In the books I have read related to the Bound & Controlled club, the author has included a weird mother in the storyline which has impeded the story.
