The writer weaves a story line of three people. An ex football coach who's a consultant but is depressed. An IT company in disarray due to lack of leadership and a new Football coach at a local University. It's a study in life and energy and how long they help each other while helping themselves. While each grows the ending shocks and puts a tear in ones eye.
A good book on coaching. Good storyline and a fantastic ending. Didn’t get bored through the book and awesome read even if you are looking at different aspects of coaching, motivation, culture and/or on improving oneself.
LOVE MARTIN ROONEY’S WRITING!! This book gets me so excited and it’s a book I come back to every so often to remind me about the importance of coaching and what my job/role as a coach is. Just fantastic!
This book is a wonderful read. It is story based but is an absolute tool for leadership and culture building whether for a family, a team or an organization. A joy to read.
Great book. A lesson in leadership that can be applied in sports, business and at home. If you’ve read anything of Martin’s, you know he always delivers and High Ten is no exception.
Good teachings and lessons in culture. The story about how the mens lives were intertwined was very intriguing. How the story was written was a tad cheesy.
This book was a super easy and enjoyable read, but if you have read much on leadership or culture there probably isn't going to be anything new in this one for you.
The story is passable. But I felt like I didn't learn anything. And that's coming from someone who loved similar books (the goal, the phoenix project).
