The lost princess of Atlantis, one of the greatest warriors of that time, now exists as a siren, luring evil to the ocean's depths. Zosi made a vow to fight and rid the world of evil, but evil is spreading at a rate she can't keep up with. When the deaths start to pile up, investigations start, and she goes from hunter to prey. When her paths cross with the men searching for the ocean killer, she realizes they are her mates. Now she's not the only one in danger.
I did not enjoy this book. One day, I'm going to find a mermaid/siren story with substance. This is not the day. If anyone has any suggestions, please respond to this review! Something about mermaids and sirens inspires writers to forget about world-building, character building, and plotlines, and to just write sex scenes. They are alluring, they have special body parts (no legs), and their sexual escapades are otherworldly... Reading the blurb for this book, there should have been so much more than insta-lust and an aphrodisiac venom. It's poorly written with no depth. And the ending? There are no details about how they ended up alive, in the location they're in, or how the new character suddenly entered. As much as I love the myths of Atlantis and the idea of Mer people and ancient gods, I will not be continuing with this series. I feel like the hint of a real plot is just a trap.
