Rate this book
MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY, UNDAZED AND UNCONFUSEDMathew McConaughey needs three things each day-Something to look upto, something to look forward to, and someone to chase after!

Mathew McConaughey- an Oscar-winning actor, writer, seeker of truth, you-tuber, and father of three- is living an extraordinary life. Be it, Jake Brigance, in A Time to Kill, or Roger Baldwin in Amistad, or the womanizing Cassanova in Ghosts of Girlfriend Past, Mathew McConaughey pulls erudition and frivolity with equal elan.

After landing in Steven Spielberg's movie in Amistad, by the turn of the millennium, Mathew McConaughey began acting in a slew of rom-coms that inevitably made him a household name.

This book is a journey through Mathew McConaughey’s illustrious career so far, with a detailed analysis of some of his seminal works.

A special section about Mathew’s spiritual discussion with India’s wanderlust mystic Sadhguru has been included where the two unlikely men ruminate on matters as diverse as life and death, karma, success and truth, fate and destiny, religion and yoga.

Buy the book to know how Mathew McConaughey’s one-night hobby developed into a 29-years-old career, why he felt the need to go on a solo trip to the deserts in West Texas and Sahara, what truth dawned on him after feeling confused and stranded in an unknown inhospitable land, and why Sadhguru wishes that all of Mathew’s dreams don’t come true?

Mostly a summary of McConaugheys movies

I'm more interested in his view on life, which seems to only be the last chapter.

Admittedly, only skimmed til I got to that.

Not what I expected

If you are looking for a recap of the movies in which the stars covered by this book were in, then you might want to read this. I would rather watch the movies for myself, rather than reading about it. This was a disappointment. This was the second installment of this series for me. I will not be getting more from this series.

Good book

This book was an interesting telling of the life of actor, Matthew McConaughey. The book tells of his most popular roles and what he thought of them.

Disjointed

Editing was so poor that it distracted from the text which was mostly short descriptions of movie plots. Thought it was going to be a “book” — apparently I need to read the descriptions better!
