Code of War: Partition Theorem

Rate this book
War Arrives in Beijing

The United States and the People’s Republic of China are at odds, and it’s tearing the world in two. Economic tensions are at a breaking point, placing the two nations on a path to war.

Jen Yates is in the middle of it all. The conflict started with the Cyber Kinetic Elimination of General Hu Shang, and traveled to the Korean Peninsula, where the two great nations faced off between their proxies: The North and the South. Now it’s time for the final battle, and it will carry Jen Yates into China’s capital: Beijing.

Isolated and far from help, Jen Yates must carry out the most dangerous Cyber Kinetic Assaults of her career––these assaults will be on China’s most sensitive and highly guarded computer networks, and her actions will place her in the gun sights of China’s most dangerous assassin: Sai Kwon.

If Jen Yates succeeds, she’ll have destroyed the Chinese Communist Party’s vast array of authoritarian tools. If she fails, she’ll be consumed by China’s burgeoning police state.

The plotlines pick right up where the previous novel left off. Which makes for very entertaining reading without having to go back and read the previous novel. The evil villain/nation-state stays the same just with a different understanding of how to deal a blow for democracy. The suspense and easily relatable techno-babble are top-notch and well researched. The area of detail and research really put the reader in the moment of the book. The character arc is relatable and easy to follow. The political intrigue is very well thought out and makes the plot a lot more enjoyable. I look forward to more from this author.

Bad vs Good

Its a fight to save the Chinese people. Even the most evil you can have compassion for. You never know what kind of life someone has until they reveal the deep horrific truth.

Jen the bad ass

Something about a woman with smarts and toughness. Great read, hard to put down. Maybe write next volume. I'm down for the ride.

Great characters and timely story, but the writing is too ponderous. Needs less words and more action.
