Along with the 50 essay examples that give a detailed analysis of the strengths and even weaknesses of each essay, there are tips from college admission officers and successful applicants and a description of the 25 essay mistakes that guarantee failure. The essays were all super interesting and generally well-written, but the analyses were full of contradictions (one punny essay had "ew gross too corny" attached and then another had "haha puns! what a good idea!") and typos, which is always a little jarring in a book about writing well.
