Mistaken identity was never so hot …

When Arie's twin sister, Esme, is mistaken for the up-and-coming restaurateur, her love life goes from non-existent to volcanic.

The crew of the hottest new show on television, Billionaire Heat, just checked into the Atlantis Resort in Waikiki. On his first night in town, the show's smoldering leading man, Desmond Pike, visits the infamous restaurant Flambé expecting to meet the owner Arie (and her sinful reputation for late night delicacies).

Only, Desmond unknowingly meets Esme, the chef's twin sister, instead. Esme is everything Arie is not—sweet, shy, romantic—and for a girl who is allergic to one-night-stands, things are about to turn molten!

Refusing to let her sister blow it with TV's hottest celebrity, Arie decides to coach Esme on how to bring the actor to his knees.

And when Arie sets her mind on a project, get out of the way. Dessert is back on the menu and Arie is turning up the heat.

To me this is the best book so far of the Flambé series by Elle Berlin that I have the privilege of reading and reviewing!

It shows how trust and love plays an important role in any relationship.

Trust pushes the darkness out and let's the light in.

That is the case with Esme and Desmond.
A bad experience with photographs taken of her while trusting her college boyfriend led Esme to live in the shadows....

Desmond had to prove his trust and love to Esme by showing her that his celebrity status will not harm the fragile trust that he built by any lingering paparazzi douch bags posting personal lurid photographs, and by giving her space when she needed it,
to contemplate her life choices on her own.

Loved the writing style and the awkward sexy banter between Esme and Desmond and how she morphed into the beautiful butterfly reaching for the sun and not hiding in the shadows or behind her sassy dominant sister!

This one was okay. I didn't find it to be as enticing as Flambé or Dirty Martini. Esme is a great character and I related to her on some levels, and obviously her personality is supposed to be awkward, but sometimes it was waaaaay too over the top.
I had some issues with some phrases that were in this book. Esme referred to herself as a "spaz" and "mental patient" more than once and I thought that was little insensitive considering those phrases were being used to describe her awkwardness. That's just not okay in my book.
This book has a ton of spice and I liked that Esme had sort of an "awakening." I also liked the MMC Desmond. Some of the humor was a little cringey. And this book was a bit heavier than I would have liked for a rom-com.
Overall, great continuation of the Flambé series. I will still be reading the next book!

At first I wasn’t too sure about this book. Esme was getting on my nerves with all those doomsday thoughts in her head but in the end she grew up. Elle Berlin writes so fluidly and her books always guarantee you’re going to need a cold shower lol. This Flambé series is the biz and I’ll keep on reading as long as Ms Berlin keeps on writing. Great series.
One thing I didn’t like: no page numbers. I really don’t like it when it’s only percentage.

Loved this series!!!

I loved the Flame series. I have now read both books in the series and have preordered the next one. I read a lot of books and it is hard to find a new, different story and find it hard to put down. I really like this author and will continue to look forward to reading her next one.

Sexual pictures distributed around campus after a breakup, going into hiding behind her sisters popularity, someone loving her quirkiness and bringing her out of her shell, trying to discover herself again, then disaster hits

The twin sister, Esme, is boring. The spice was fine, but the word “cream” is used, again, to describe female arousal and it makes me want to vomit. That’s why this gets two stars. Ugh, now “cream” is all I can think about. Gross.

A cute second book in this series. Just as spicy as the first but a slower burn to get to it which I liked. If you liked the first book you’ll like the second.

4 out of 5 🌶️

The story arc is predictable by this one. Characters are nice enough but I’m over this series.
