Time for Bed! (Cassandra Bee Picture Book Series), was an instant hit with my 18 month old granddaughter! I read this to her before bed tonight, and had to reread it once more because she loved it so much. There are rich, vibrant illustrations that adorably express the character's feelings; and the home of the Bee family is brilliantly depicted with walls of honeycomb! Our little one went slowly through the first reading, studying each page.
The lessons of listening to your parent when they ask you to do something, and learning to control your behavior when you don't get to do what you want are very nicely covered, as well as showing how one should apologize when we have misbehaved. These are perfect topics for little ones to be learning and discussing.
As the adult reader, I enjoyed the story, as the facial expressions were so perfect, and completely, humorously relatable. We both have totally fallen for Cassandra, and tomorrow I will be purchasing the rest of the available series, and pre-ordering those yet to be released. Lisa Strattin is a new favorite author in our home.
Don't put it off. Get this for your little people! It is an all around winner

Mom Bee told Cassandra “Cassie” (bee) it was time to go to bed.

How did that turn out?

I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) bedtime storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (bedtime manners), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Time For Bed! by Lisa Strattin
What I like about his book is that i can tap a few times to enlarge the words. Very helpful when the child is reading beside me as they look at the pictures while I say the words.
Cassandra is a bee and is NOT tried to go to bed. They are told to clean up the toys and come for a snack before bed.
They still are not tired but mom knows how to make them sleepy...
Great ending...
Colorful children's educational book and a fun read.

Mom knows best!

A cute, simple, brightly illustrated story of a mother bee's battle to get her daughter Cassandra to cooperate at bedtime. I don't doubt that many children will identify with Cassandra as she fights the inevitable!

Horrible

Why would you give cookies to a child before bed! No story line. No nothing but a poor story line. Don’t waste your time!
