His bird form may be tiny, but his attitude sure as f*ck isn't.
Farley's a pissed-off finch omega who wants nothing more than to kick every alpha where the sun don't shine. After escaping a finch shifter breeding colony, Farley's determined to save the rest of his brethren from a life of being objectified.
Just one problem: he can't shift back.
To add insult to injury, only an alpha can unlock his shift-blocker. Fat chance. He'd rather die than work with the enemy.
So when a fox alpha offers him help, why is it so hard to refuse?
Quinn
Alpha Quinn is a fox shifter who yearns for two things: a pair of wings, and a fated mate.
That's not too much to ask, right?
Rumor has it an air spirit can bless him with wings. But blessings aren't free. Quinn has to earn it. What better way than to help a finch shifter save his kind?
As their destinies intertwine and sparks begin to fly, Quinn can't get Farley out of his head—or his heart. Could he be the mate Quinn's been searching for?
And when danger looms, can the fated bond they've been denying save them?
Fated: Fox and the Finch is a 44,000 word mpreg book with steamy scenes, fluff and drama, and a HEA as usual! No cheating or cliffhangers. It is the second book in the Pack of Heirs series, and a sequel to the Pack of Brothers series. It is best read in order.
Hawke is a M/M author who loves the world of MPREG and shifters. In his spare time he enjoys hiking with his dog, hanging out with his boyfriend, and playing video games.
Wow!!! This author continually manages to take each new book of this world up a notch again and again! This is definately a step above the last! I already adored this world and it's inhabitants completely and with these two MCs I love it even more!
I adored Farley and Quinn. I loved the strength that Farley had and the sweetness that Quinn had that seemed just right. I think that they made the perfect fated pair for each other
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I really liked the connection between Omega Finch Shifter Farley and Alpha Fox Shifter Quinn. I loved how protective they were of each other. Farley has been treated badly by alphas and even in his tiny adorable finch form he’s still extremely protective of the omegas still being held captive at the Society that he’d escaped from since he thought that was where Quinn was head but Quinn was actually on his own mission to find Mistral the Air Spirit so he can be granted some wings. Farley realises that Quinn isn’t an a*sehole and is different than the alphas he’s been held captive for the last two years. Even though he escaped the Society he’s still caged since they put a band around his ankle so he can’t shift. I love how they work together to help free the captive omegas along with Animus the other spirit who caused havoc for the other Spirits but he’s actually not bad. Unless your an alpha but due to Quinn’s love for Farley he shows him that he’s different than any other alpha. I actually thought Animus had more integrity than Minstral in this story. I’m looking forward to reading the next book to see what cousin is next to get their happily ever after. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
I've been having a Hawke Oakley read-a-thon and thoroughly enjoying it. I read a couple other authors then I get drawn back to one of the Hawke's older books. So having a new release come out was fantastic! Reading this book was such a wonderful experience. I will definitely be rereading it again😍.
I love small, feisty, sometimes ferocious Omega. Just because they're small doesn't mean they can or will be ignored. Or because they're cute they are thought of as compliant and not too bright. Farley the Finch shifter would quickly disabuse you of all their inaccurate labels. Tough, smart, determined, clever, and angry are the adjectives that describe him.
If you are an Alpha you'd better run - far & fast because he has some unexpected backup. Quinn the Fox is determined to win over the obstinate Omega. There is something really special about Farley that makes Quinn want to stand by his side and help him fight his battles.
What are you prepared to do for those you love? You sacrifice for their happiness. But how does it make the one making the sacrifice feel?
Farley is a finch that was tricked into shifting into his finch form and being imprisoned by other alpha Finches thinking they know what's best for them. He hates it there and one day he escapes after two years. He's an omega and hates all alphas or so he thinks until he meets Quinn.
Quinn is an alpha fox shifter, bit he's longing for a pair of wings like his raven shifting dad has. His other dad is a fox like him. So after talking to his cousin he sets out to try to find the air spirit. He runs into Farley who is not in happy mood at first thinking he's like the ones that imprisoned him.
They both help each other and when Farley and Quinn go to rescue the other Finches Farley doesn't baulk at being fated mates. I was really loving this and I read the parent series a few years back. Now I'm getting to see the kids grown up. It was wonderful and sex was great as usual.
Their baby was so precious and my heart sang at what Quinn did for their child when he was giving a chance for him to have something or them.
Size does not matter. Farley, may be a tiny omega finch, but he has the heart and attitude of a lion! Quinn, is an alpha fox, who resents not being Blessed with wings like his Dad. He want to fly and he wants his mate. He sets off on a quest to find an air spirit, who may gift him with wings. Farley, who was enticed into the breeding colony, is the only finch in the colony that understands there is a world outside the colony. He wants to help the other finch escape, but they are afraid of leaving. He escapes and meets Quinn. He is aggressive assuming he's under threat of an attack. The adventure these two go on is a learning experience that is a little dangerous and a lot of discovery. These two are a fun fit, a good fit. Farley is small with a big personality. Quinn grows up. Fun story, funny story. Great adventure. Well done!
In this book it's time for Quinn to find his fated mate. When he meets finch shifter Farley he's on a whole other mission and Farley is another omega who's been treated badly by alphas. But as they go on a mission together they soon find that fate has other plans.
I love Quinns family and all the mates and Farley is another great addition. I'm really curious about the spirit and there seems to be something going on between them. Hopefully we will get an answer in a future book.
I truly enjoyed this addition to the series and I loved how these fated mates had created something magical between themselves due to the help of the God's (or spirits). I felt bad for David, though, while reading this since nobody deserves to be beaten, and he was such a sweetheart. I was also a bit disappointed that Quinn wasn't granted something that he had wanted so much. I always appreciate how the mates meet (through attacking their mate) and I adore when they bring their mate into the family. Wonderful writing with a very heartwarming story. Loved it.
This is a paranormal shifter romance with mpreg. It is the second book in the Pack of Heirs series, a sequel to the Pack of Brothers series and It is best read in order. This story is about one of the offspring, a fox shifter who dreams of flying! As Quinn goes in search of a spirit to give him his wish, he encounters her fated mate! His angry fated mate! What a story!! This was a cute insta-love story but it’s rich with details and stories that make the heart soar! I especially loved this one!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Farley and Quinn stole my heart with their prickly, slow-burn romance. Farley’s fiery determination and distrust of alphas were completely understandable given his traumatic past, and Quinn’s gentle persistence made him the perfect match to slowly earn Farley’s trust. Their journey had just the right balance of tension, vulnerability, and warmth. Quinn’s quest for wings mirrored Farley’s quest for freedom, making their emotional arcs deeply satisfying. Their HEA felt both inevitable and heart-melting, making this book a standout in the series.
This was such a fantastic story! I thought that the individual stories of this couple before they met were extremely well written and moving. Then they met and in spite of their difficulties the humor was great and their ultimate love for each other was beautiful. Ok, I'm about to write a book about this book or start "spoiling" ;) so I'll just stop here and say this is a must read!!
I love how each book brings in some of every day shifters and some that you would never think of. Hawke has really out done themselves with the creativity of each of these books. You can really feel for Quinn with his yearning to fly, and how protective Farley is. Truly a great story.
Wonderful book Hawke Oakley is a great author his books have adventure but also sweet moments as wel
I loved this book but also the whole series they have adventure but also sweet moments too I have read most of his books and I haven't found one I didn't enjoy he shows by that differences should be embraced
What you wish for can be so different from what you actually need.
I love this whole series! It is a continuing storyline, with different "cousins" taking the leads in each book. I would recommend reading the Pack of Brothers series. And the first book in this Pack of Heirs series is a must. All the quirky family members make an appearance. And two spirits do as well; neither of whom are what you expected. I won't repeat the whole blurb . Just know that finch shifter Farley is a fierce, brave omega with alpha issues. And Quinn is not your typical alpha fox. They embark on a quest that will lead to HEA. And the bad guys get what they deserve. Come. Join them. Marvel at the changes as each one accepts the other. Yes, there is sex. Hot sex, heat sex. And an adorable baby. Oh, you are gonna love this book! Get. It. Now! This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
I think I like where this is going and I am looking forward to it! I like how the author writes this series with unbelievable mate bonds. It works wonders for the imagination and just makes you think even more. Loving this series so far!
I feel like this series is already stronger than the original series. I love all the character development and growth. The characters are so lovable and you can’t help rooting for them.
What a sweet love story between a fox and a finch and the antics they get up to discovering they’re fated mates . Love this series and it’s highly recommended
