Such a wonderful story, couldn’t put it down once I started. Heartwarming and entertaining characters with a storyline that is mixed with adventure, deception and romance. Irvine isn’t sure if he wants to be laird after the death of his great aunt, so he begins a quest to help him make that decision. During this time he meets Bridget and finds himself drawn to her, will this affect his future?

A great story
Loved reading this story, sometimes when reading a story you can figure out how it is going to go, but not this story. Just when I thought I had it figured out there would be a change in my thinking.

Irvine had to prove his place of becoming a Laird. As he also defended a village as his evil uncle wanted to kill. This book is intriguing with a happy ending.

What a great story about two families and their battles. Irvine and Bridget are strong characters with stories of love of clan and family. Very unusual for this time period the main characters all have relationships of love of famikh and each other.

The main female character was as head-strong as most highland women. This 1 has quite the twist!
