When I came across this title I was intrigued. Very rarely do we see such comic books and so I had to read this. This is the first chapter in the series of books. The story of The Violated takes place in the 19th Century. The story starts with that of a lady who is a psychic and can talk to the dead. But soon there is another story. A physician who has been deployed in India is called by his old friend to England with the task of helping him in his scientific investigation into the human mind. He is supposed to help in the case of one particular patient who is believed to have multiple personality disorder. But when the physician reaches Whitby, England he is going to find a few surprises. How will he deal with these surprises? Why was he called back to England? Will he stay and help in treating the patient? Well, to know the answers to all these questions, you will have to read the book. The story and its characters are captivating and the first chapter’s climax will compel you to look for the next instalment in the series. I am glad that I found this one. Do give this book a read.
Visitants, parts 1-3 of a 6 part story, really drew me in, especially by chapter 2 as the characters became more human (and the issue 1 "horror trope" menace of each characters' introduction got more fleshed out). The book's art is fantastic. The author, Soumya Das, drew the book amazingly himself, with his cover art for each chapter made by a famous comic book artist. The book begins with an atmosphere remiscent of Dracula, but from that starting point, weaves a completely original story about a medium haunted by the spirits she has mediated for. The story comes with character nuance, including very humanized Indian (sub-continent) characters (who put to shame British-style horror's old cliche of "menacing, generic turbanned Indians"--the characters have backstories and real personalities and relationships with each other. By chapter 2 of the Visitants, I was fully engaged in the story and read straight through to the end.
In its entiretly, the book is less than a 3 hour read and made for a great evening of horror reading.

Will he be able to unravel the mystery behind the spirits haunting an asylum inmate or will he fall prey to the insaity himself? The story piches Victorian era spiritualism against Edwardian era psychiarity.
*My review* This is the first chapter of a very intriguing and spooky manga. One of the issue I faced while reading manga is small texts, but thankfully the texts are of good size, easily readable. I wish it was long, as soon as the story starts getting intresting, the chapter end but I am looking forward to reac next chapter!! I highly recommend this to all!!

This is the first issue of "The Violated" a graphic novel by Soumya Das. I have read many graphic novels but this is my first time reading and enjoying one by an Indian author. The story is set in 1900. A physician come to England after staying years in India, to help his friend in a case of multiple personality disorder, only to find that the case involves supernatural elements. I love the drawings...they are so beautiful and spooky and the pace of the story is good too, only thing I didn't like was how short this issue was, though I am so excited to read the next chapter. Spookiness level is 6, as it was in the ending it starts getting spooky (though not enough to scare haha)
The cover made me read it and I don't regret at all (sometimes, we can judge a book by it's cover haha). Even though I hate cliffhanger endings, I enjoyed this one.

The author has very amazingly illustrated events or experiences that cannot be explained by current scientific understanding and involve supernatural or unexplained occurrences, such as ghosts or psychic abilities. If you have questions or want to know about specific aspect of the paranormal, please read the book. The stories are really spine chilling and will leave you wondering about the endings. Talking about the title of the book is it is totally appropriate and the cover of the book is also very eye catching and creative. The book is recommended to everyone.

"The violated" is a book based on a paranormal story designed like a comic book. It's based on supernatural spirits.
The story begins with a letter in which Elizabeth explains her pain when she gets spirits possessed inside her body and says how hard it has become for her to do such job.The attacks of the ghosts at the end page was horrible!
This is the first chapter of the whole series and all I can say is, this book is really different than others. The sketches are done perfectly and the design of the book is beautiful.Overall,it's a very short read.
Soumya is a master of paranormal genre, and this is his first graphic novel. This book is intriguing, very interesting. Though he is not a pro illustrator, his artwork handles the artistic demands of the story smartly.
