Ok I am trying to find out what everyone is on about did we read the same book ?
The story itself is beautiful new and it could be so much better but the author hasn’t spent any time finessing it
So many questions that could be answered but instead it seems like scenes are missing
For instance why was she called at her age why deny her the chance to mate until now
What was so special right now ?
Then her bonds it’s like she had sex once and then instantly the men fall in love with her ok 2 of them know her but what about the other 2 ?
Also her image issues Raphael says something and suddenly it all good ? All those years of feeling inadequate just disappear and she is ok … also where is the love shown beteeen her and the guys ? Just getting the bond once but no other interactions other than going to the ball having a fight with Cyrus then we cut to 2 weeks later and Cyrus has disappeared… what were her feelings about Cyrus’s disappearance???
Then I am amazed at how her angst is resolved( about being dark and light ) as soon as she meets her grandfather …. It’s like the concept was there but the author wasn’t interested in writing or worldbuilding it enough to be interesting at all
Cyrus is so full of angst but then suddenly it’s all resolved also there is like literally no interaction between other guys and Cyrus and they don’t seem like a family unit at all

😇👿Discovered is the first book in the first book in The Darker Angel Chronicles. It follows the story of a half dark, half light Nephilim, Thana.
😇👿Serenity Rayne built an interesting world. Nephilim, Angels, and Fallen all have a purpose and work together not in harmony, but they make it work. They don't have many females born to their peoples. So fated mates are found at the Mated Trials.
😇👿Thana is almost 400 years old, and it's the first time she gets to go to the Mate Trials. There is a lot of history that is vague early in the story to build anticipation.
😇👿Thank finds 4 mates. The Archangel Raphael. The dark Nephilim Cyrus who is Azreal's son, so he is one of the strongest dark Nephilim. The warrior angel Christian. And the mute Nephilim Gage.
😇👿Okay I love how protective and how the guys dote on Thana. I didn't feel as deep of a connection with Christian and Gage in this book. And their bonding scenes didn't give me the same satisfaction as Raphael and Cyrus'. Plus there was conflict with Cyrus and the story really focused her connection early with Raphael.
😇👿It is a 5 ⭐ really for the world building and I'm a sucker for an angel/Nephilim story. I really am looking forward to book 2. There is a prophecy and some intriguing ideas introduced. I want more of the other mates, and more of the tie me up 😘😉

This was a fantastic read that I could not put down once I started. It moves along at a great pace which mae for an awesome read. The characters are so amazing and seem so real that you feel as though you know them and no matter what you will love them. The story grabs you and keeps you interested and turning pages from beginning to end. This book is a must read, no doubt about it.

This is a fantastic beginning to Serenity Rayne’s new series The Dark Angel Chronicles. The storyline is unique, action packed, sexy, and intriguing! It will definitely keep you reading well into the night! Thana is the amazingly bada** FMC, and her mates, Raphael, Gage, Cyrus, and Chris are just as stunning!
This is an incredible book that I highly recommend. I cannot wait for book two!

Wow! Line one, I'm Intrigued by the end of chapter one I'm not putting this book down easily, devoured in a day and a half around day to day life...
What a fabulous start to a new series.
Thana is an interesting, amazing, intriguing and enchanting lead who you cannot help but warm to immediately. Her vulnerability yet strength is fascinatingly beautiful. The mystery that surrounds her is captivating and the way she cares just wow...plus did I mention she's an angel?
If you think that's all .. In step Thanas mates ... I'm not going to give names or how many because spoiler...however I will say: not one of them is stereotypical, the relationships are unique developing at their own paces and although they clearly all adore her, there are some trials to be had for each couple...nothing is just going to be plain sailing for this angel...
Join them as they try to accept their new family, learn about Thanas heritage and also try to navigate their newly formed relationships...meanwhile you as the reader learn about angels and the world these wonderful characters call home
This book kept me turning the page and wishing to go back to it asap when I had to stop reading to adult.
Angels + RH + Serenity Rayne as the author = an outstanding read and a fabulous start to a new world...I cannot wait for book 2!!!

Absolutely love this world Serenity Rayne has created. Story was fantastic. Loved the characters. Couldn’t even pick a favorite. I just love them all. Storyline was so good. I devoured this story in one night. Seriously couldn’t put down. Great start to this new series. No spoilers here so believe me you want to read this one. Highly recommend.

Wow talk about another great beginning to a series. Thana is a kick ass heroine who has 4 hot as hell mates. Raphael an arc angel and a long-time crush, Christian a samari wielding angel, Gage the angel who can no longer speak and Cryus the dark angel. Not to mention her grandfather who is Samual the angel of death and Azrael the king of hell what more can a girl want. Lots of action and romance makes this one exciting book. And a must read.

I'll be honest, I went into Discovered completely blind and full of excitement to get to read something new from this author! I wasn't disappointed at all! The world building and development of the society/characters really set up this book with all the unique details that brought this fast paced story together. I'm really excited to see how the characters continue to develop, individually and together, throughout the story. Discovered is a quick read that really gets you pumped up for more!

Wow what a fantastic start to a new series I loved it Thana is one strong women growing up always feeing like she didn’t belong then suddenly everything changes when she get pick to go to the mating trails. Were she meets her four very hot mates and so there story starts. The story grabs your interest right from the start and is full off love , some secrets and action and I can’t wait to see what is in store next for Thana and her mates so excited about this series

OMG this new series is amazing. Thana is a hybrid nephilim made up from light and dark. This book is the world building into this series where we meet her four mates. We have Raphael, Christian, Gage and Cyrus. And oh boy does each male different in their own way. This book leaves off on a major cliffhanger and omg I can't wait for book two.

This is an amazing and strong start to a new series by Serenity Rayne. Thana is strong, independent with and amazing personality. This has incredible view on the light and dark conflict that is both internal and external. I am very excited for the next book!

Great new series
This book was so good that I read it in one sitting. The first book in this new series further cements Serenity Rayne as one of my favourite authors. Ms. Rayne writes strong, yet flawed characters who fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. The story is compelling and I await the next book in the series with bated breath. If you enjoy reverse harem books then I highly recommend this story.

Great First book
Another Amazing book from Serenity Rayne. Thana is nephilim with both light and dark as such she is stuck between the two sides. After finally being invited to the mate trials she can finally spread her wings and find her mates. Three hundred years of having wings and not being able to show them would be enough to drive anyone crazy! Raphael is the crush, boss now mate that a honestly sounds hot AF, I was definitely shipping these two from their first interaction. Christian is the gorgeous Samurai, Gage is the strong silent that actually can’t speak. I love that one of the mates has a “disability”. And Finally Cyrus the one dark mate that is reluctant to just give his heart over. I really liked that we get to see Thana settle the battle within her self and discover how much of a BA she really is. Serenity Rayne doesn’t write FMC that just wait around for some one to save them, they save themselves and any one else that might need it. This was a great start to a series that is sure to be a favorite!

Another Knockout!
Another knockout start to a series from one of my favorite authors! Thana is both strong and vulnerable with an impressive heritage. The men in her life are a compliment to all of the different facets of her personality. This isn’t a typical good versus evil story, there are so many shades in between. What true evil is lurking in the dark we have yet to encounter but you just know it’s going to be epic!

This book was fabulous. I love love love Thana’s character. To me she starts out as the underdog and as the story develops, she goes from naive to full blown super bad you know what. The guys complement her character well. We have the one who is her light, one who is her protector, one who is her quiet but deliciously sexy one, and lastly her dark one who is trying to get her to accept the darkness within. I can’t wait for more. Well done.

This is a great start to a series! It has romance, action, danger and those oh so fabulous and famous sexy scenes that we all love from Serenity Rayne’s books. The long term crush fulfilled, the cherished friendship turned romantic, the sweet, silent and secretly kinky lover and the all important bad boy with a soft spot for our FMC, this read hits all my weaknesses! I am loving this storyline and its characters. I most definitely can not wait for more!

Aurora is a hard act to follow and Rayne did it with Thana. She is a addiction like Aurora and it is easy to see why she is a force to reckon with. This book set up this world of angels and demons perfectly. And the ending was killer as usual

This is another great book by Serenity. The FMC is sexy and innocent to a point. When she gets her mates the hotness begins. The drama and how the characters develop over the books makes you not want to stop reading. Can't wait for book 2. Congrats Serenity on this book

I loved Thana (FMC) from the very beginning of this book. Being a Nephilim she was a mixture of darkness and light but in herself she was both sweet and funny. Thana also had a deep seated vulnerability which stemmed from how she was treated by her community of angels....etc from being a Nephilim and affected her self worth. Which was sad to reading about her own misgivings about herself. I did like that her mates supported her to feel better about who she is and her strengths. I loved the dynamic between her and the guys. As well the angels that were her friends and Azrael who all added to this book for me.
It was cracking read with plenty of plot twists and turns which i loved. Im looking forward to the 2nd book now

love this new series beginning! ... Thana is the stepping stone between light and dark ... she has no idea how powerful her potential is until she's matched with her four mates ... little does Thana comprehend her strength and currently requires the protection of both sides to ensure the balance of the future ... cannot wait for more!

Serenity kills it again. Her world building in this book is amazing. The spice kicks up almost immediately. The spice is spicy not as detailed as she’s written before but it’s book 1 and the harem is new so I have hope yet. The men are steamy. The plot is different and keeps you interested. I cant wAit for book 2.
I will be buying this in paperback ASAP!

A great start to a new adventure with a unique world. The duality of the main character is gonna make for an interesting struggle throughout the story as it unfolds. I’m excited to see more about the world and how the family group develops from here!

The FMC is part dark and light and she battles that thought-out the book, even more so when she finds her mates. I like the addition of other higher ranking light and dark beings that we know by name. I felt like the story definitely moved fast. The best friend issue was left hanging, and I was definitely waiting to see what came of that.

Absolutely awesome!!
If there was a higher rating available I would have chosen it. This is incredible! I absolutely could not stop reading once I started. I think Thana is an amazing fmc. She is starting to realize her own strength and I love how she is so intuitive with just a few hints. I adore her mates and I'm so happy how things turn out with Cyrus.
