Ninja Life Hacks #58

Impulsive Ninja

Rate this book
Impulsive Ninja: a Social, Emotional Book for Kids and Teens about Impulse Control for School and Home.

Do you have a child who acts or talks impulsively? Children who exhibit impulsive behavior are often labeled unruly. Even though children can be calm, their positive qualities can be often overlooked by their poor impulse control.

Children without impulse control act or talk before they think, often unable to control their initial response to a situation. The ability to self-regulate is absent and they don't pause to think about future consequences. Impulsivity is related to acting without thought. As a result, children do things like take unnecessary risks, blurt things out, don’t wait their turn, or interrupt conversations. This book is a perfect resource for children with autism, ADD, ADHD, or SPD.

Impulsive Ninja learns how to use an underused superpower to respond to frustration, anger, and criticism.

Superheroes can pause and think about consequences

This easy to read and follow manual for kids teaches then to pause and think about the consequence if their actions. I love how it gives varied past’s examples of the ninja being impulsive. The graphics also can appeal to young and older kids.

This is a great book for children who may act impulsively and it is a silly and fun way to approach alternate ways to react to stressors. This book is a perfect resource for children with autism, ADD, ADHD, or SPD. I think this book could also teach the importance of patience which is something important to teach to young children.

Impulsive Ninja struggles with controlling what he does and what he says. A friend shares the power of the pause with him and he learns to stop and think before saying or doing something that could be mean or dangerous. Younger readers will connect with this problem and be able to also pause and think before acting.

Secret Superpowers

Considering the consequences of his actions, a hurried Impulsive Ninja practiced his superpowers of pausing before creating havoc around him. Such great tools are offered in an easy-to-follow storyline. Fun and playful illustrations too!

Love it

I will be reading this multiple times to my kids especially my son, who tends to be impulsive. We have worked on learning his power to Pause before even reading this boo. Impulsive Ninjas name could be Pause Ninja instead of Impulsive Ninja.

What a great book to introduce children ways to think before you speak or do something. There are consequences to your actions and you don't know how it will affect others. Another great addition to the series!

This is a nice five-minute read on impulse control that I read on my laptop, but I am considering getting a hard copy to have it available as a reminder.
