Well that was an interesting ending. I was kinda shocked when they actually divorced even though I had been team divorce but the sudden focus on children made me think that might cause an issue. Also the college kid being in love with her threw me for a loop. When they divorced I thought she’d go back to him, was a nice surprise seeing her be alone after the divorced. Overall the loss of her mom was unexpected but I wasn’t expecting that to be the catalyst for them getting together especially since they were already divorced. So I guess now they’re together? But not married on paper? I understand that it’s technically a new relationship but yea definitely a weird series. I didn’t go in expecting a romance series but still it tried to highlight the complexities of marriage, which I would say it didn’t do mostly. Overall wouldn’t recommend this series but if you’re curious about it go ahead and see if it’s for you.
As a person that constantly thinks about marriage and what it all means, this manga really checks a lot of boxes for me. I went in this on a whim and ended up reading it all in one day. It’s not exciting or romantic or suspenseful, but I just couldn’t stop turning the pages.
I highly suggest to not read this with romance in mind. Do not think about a side to take or who to cheer for. It’s just about humans trying to deal with humans, and the many mistakes everyone makes.
I loved this series through and through. The trying-to-have-a-child subplot felt a bit rushed. I wouldn't have minded if this had been spread to two volumes. My heart was in my chest when they got divorced and I felt torn between wanting a happy ending for the couple and a realistic one. Fortunately, I got both! The couple reconnecting over her mom's death and funeral totally made sense as a reason for them to get back together as did their decision to ultimately not define their relationship. What a fascinating, complex, thought-provoking series!

I had legitimately so much fun describing the plot of this series to one of my friends. It's **MESSY**, and none of the characters are really likeable, but the author doesn't shy away from showing just how unlikeable the characters are. It almost made me root for them more.
