This was such a fascinating read! I love learning about the body, what it does, why it does it and how! This went pretty in-depth in the psychology of various types of dreams, breaks down each of the 5 stages of sleep, brain waves with wave graphs, as well as areas of the brain and what they do. There is so much to learn from this!

the book answers the questions of why we dream, do animals dream and different type of dreams such as lucid dreaming of knowing you are dreaming. it goes into the science of dreaming and the different waves. it also goes into the psychology of dreams. what dreams are in regards to religion & spirituality. most common dream meanings are listed and what it means when someone dreams of them. i found this book to be informative & i enjoyed reading the book. i wish there was a kindle version it was rather difficult to read in the NG app.

In Focus Dreams is a book expounding on dreams. It has been written by Angela Mogridge. The book contains details on the meaning of a dream, types, and causes. Data is collected from biology, psychology, and spiritual points of view. This is a book to pick if you want to remember what you dream as well as find out what your dreams are communicating.
This book has alluring illustrations that I liked very much. The general design of the book is beautiful. The editing is professionally done. The information is presented in a calming manner. In Focus Dreams is a practical text. It will help the reader to focus on their dreams and spiritual growth.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book is well researched, informative and helpful for self-growth. I found the book captivating.
I recommend this book to people who are curious or troubled by their dreams. There are interesting parts, where students of psychology will find educative. Parents will find this book a great dream guide for their children.

This is a great beginning handbook about dreams! As someone who is interested in spirituality/the dream world, I found this very useful.

First, Mogridge talks about the science behind dreams and the different psychological theories of dreaming as well as how each religion views dreams.

Next, she goes into dream interpretation. I especially liked the dream dictionary section. Unlike other dream dictionaries, I found that it included enough useful information (and sometimes multiple interpretation options for one dream) to accurately interpret my specific dream. It also included a lot of information about the more common dreams that most of us have had. I definitely recommend this book to help figure out any dream or just learn more about the dream world in general!

Loved this one, the illustrations were so cute and adorable. I liked that it begins with the questions we usually ask ourselves like why can't i remember a dream and things like that so nice actually to know a little more on this things.

Then it gives you a little science for this and that's actually amazing didn't thought I will find science on a book about dreams but it was awesome since this it's a biologic thing in a way since it happens on our brains.

It has a little psychology and religious side on it but totally interesting how they have being interpreted along the way really.

Something that I found fascinating it that it explains about specific types of dream trama, lucid, recurring and others and its so cool to know what can actually it's going on with you when this appears.

By the end of the explanations then you have the dictionary with a lot of meanings for a lot of things you can dream of with pictures and all, totally loved it.

Thank you to the author, publisher and Net Galley for providing a free ebook copy of this title.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it covered a wide range of topics, gave background and suggestions. I would enjoy the book more in print form, I think, though. As an ARC ebook, that wasn't an option for me, and it was difficult to really read and explore the book in the format provided, so I will look for a print copy of this one when it is published. I think I would enjoy it even more, learn some new things too!

I've been able to read and review a few books in this series, and I'm grateful for the opportunity and for being introduced to this line of books. They are all very informative, and I could see them being a nice resource for my home library

I am so happy to finally find a dream book that doesn't, ya know, tell you to "raise your vibrantion" so you can talk to the dead and fly [in your dreams]. This was very matter of fact and to the point. It gave me a lot to think about and even more to Google. I liked that in the spirituality chapter, it talked about how different religions view dreams and dreaming. Jewedism, Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, all in the same chapter!
I suspect the dream dictionary will be helpful in the future.
I especially liked that it explained how neuroscience behind dreaming. This wasn't some hippy dippy bullshit. This was science! Could not put it down!

Considering I found this book in an occult book store, I was quite disappointed to see the lack of spirituality in the book - and the derogatory meaning of witches in your dreams is something I find a bit untrue.. nonetheless it was still a very nice read to get one started on this topic, and I love the small fun facts they put in here alongside the general theories given by the various old men ;)

So so so much information. This book goes into the science of dreams and why we dream. Then it tells you what your dreams could mean. I wish that section was larger but still good.

Thank you NetGalley and Wellfleet Press for the chance to review the arc for In Focus Dreams by Angela Mogridge.

This book was really interesting and more detailed than I thought something of 144 pages could be! Not only does the book cover different theories behind dreams, including religious ones, but it provides a pretty long list of common symbols and their interpretations. I loved the section on dreams in literature and art, and I would have loved for that to be longer.

Loved the bits about the history of dream theories and different scientific studies - super interesting! The "dictionary" of dream interpretations was pretty generic and straightforward, however, and didn't really present anything insightful or surprising.
