This was a series of books that was quite action packed. This was the first time that I have seen this author write paranormal at all, so I found it highly intriguing in how she implements it into the story. I was so fascinated in the layout of the trilogy and each book was so fascinating to me. I really had such a fun experience with this here. Not the best books by this author, but they were a good way to get through my reading challenge. Was quite fun returning to this author though
THOUGHTS This was an exciting read for me. When the book was close to the end, I kept looking at the book length progress of my ebook device hoping it would not finish, the story for me personally was that engaging. I loved that the author detailed the backdrop of the brothers' history in the product preview. This was helpful because the moment you started the book it dove right into the story. Evan for me was a sexy character; he is that vampire that has seen a lot throughout his hundred years of living, so at that moment when he saw Marissa he knew what he wanted. Marissa was a very shy but not so shy character. As the story progress, she became more out spoken dealing with the issues that she might become a wolf. The book says erotica not sure I would classify as that but their intimate scenes were still good and hot.
I was so excited that we got to meet Aiden and Troy, they are just a bundle of vampire hotness. Aiden seems like the mature one but Troy, Troy was the cranky and mysterious one that has accumulated issues from his past as described in the book. I do not want to give away too much on him, but Troy is also a little different from his other two brothers. Finally yet importantly Marcus, He is the warden in-charge and who saved the brothers when they were turn so long ago. I do not know what the author as planned for Marcus in the upcoming books for Aiden and Troy but I demand a story to be written about Marcus. He entered the story mid way through but he left an impact.
HOT VAMPIRE SEDUCTION
This was definitely a great addition to the series and I enjoyed Aiden's story. Aiden and Kelly's story was good and kept me interested in what will happen next. With each brother's story, I get more involved with their underground world, law, and Marcus, their warden in-charge. It was great to read about Troy again, Aiden's brother who was an added bonus to the story. We definitely got a manipulative villain that created excitement to the storyline. I enjoyed the author's action sequences as they deliver and keeps your interest. As for the end, it was interesting and a pleasing solution to a problem *wink*.
Troy is a vampire after my own heart. I just know with his story Hot Vampire Touch; it is going to be bad, messy, and downright sexy. I am eager for more of Troy, not to take away from Aiden's story of course which was good.
HOT VAMPIRE TOUCH
Book three in the `Vampire Wardens' series did not disappoint. We have come to know Troy throughout this entire series, and his story was worth the wait. From the previous books, we've come to know he isn't like his brothers and he is a little different. After an eye opening performance in book two, I expected no less from him. Cassie is the woman whom Troy thought betrayed him, once he finds her; he tries to subdue his inner beast. However, she could be a traitor to him, but his physical need to have her takes over. While Troy is metamorphosing into something he can't explain, everyone tries to band together to help him.
As one chapter closes, another begins. This book brought out other characters that I am really looking forward to reading about. I am eager for Nico. Nico has proven he's worthy to be read in `The Werewolf Society' series, a spinoff of the `Vampire Warden' series, as noted above by the author. Nico is Alpha and an appetizer to what I predict to be another great series by the author; and judging by the epilogue, I can't wait.
Storyline: GOOD Intimacy: Sex-citingly GOOD Enjoyment: GOOD
I wasn't too thrilled with these books. The characters didn't have a lot of dimension, and the stories felt like they were moving along too quickly. (I'm coming to realize this is a pet peeve of mine, especially in romance novels, how quickly things progress sometimes.) I also felt like there were things about the writing style I wasn't fond of, but I can't recall specifics. Just ended up being something I wasn't crazy about reading.
These are very quick reads all intertwining the story and obviously going further with it in future books. Great palette cleanser in between the dark or long reads to get you going again. Possessive alpha males and sweet not kick ass a little vulnerable fmc.
The author did a fantastic job of holding your attention from the start. You will find each character evolves in the book and have a hot love story. If you love a good paranormal love story then I recommend this book to read. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author!
These where quick reads. About the same time it took to read a decent fanfiction piece. The stories are good, and with more fleshing out they could be great. Since they aren't, they are good to read for a change of pace or to refresh yourself for other books you are reading.
This could have been good, I think, if it was longer. But it was just too short, and therefore, too rushed. There wasn't enough time to build this world, one with so many aspects, and to give them all the attention they needed to be a complete picture. It tried to fit in a budding romance between the heroes, her unexpected attack and infection, the vampire council AND their various laws, the heroes' group trying to capture or kill a mystery mutant werewolf and save the girl, and even fit in a little background on some of the side characters. This felt like it wanted to be this complex world and plot, but there just wasn't enough time to properly build on that world. We were expected to just catch up (in only a few chapters) in a story that felt like it was already in progress. Then, it was just over in a flurry of manic activity, nothing really solved, leaving us with a convenient summation of how "there always has to be a lose end” as a way to validate leaving us hanging in order to set up the next book in the series.
•Hot Vampire Seduction - 1★
Our heroine, a medical examiner working the case of a serial killer, (and who just so happens to fits the victim profile of said killer), decides to hit up the night clubs where an aphrodisiac drug is being sold that's connected to the case. ALONE! Nothing pisses me off more than a stupid heroine. It's just lazy writing. Is it really so hard to come up with a smarter way for the mcs to come together, than for the heroine to get herself in a jam that the hero has to rescue her from? A way that doesn't sacrifice the supposed intelligence of our heroine?
She not only goes alone, but then she accepts (and consumes) open drinks from a couple of pushy men, knowing they're roofied, "seeing no way out of it" because "she had to look like a desperate lonely female if she was going to attract the right people". She lets them crowd her and grope her and drug her! That was the end of the line for me! This whole stupid scenario was written simply as a device to force the two mcs to have to have sex. No way am I going to waste my time reading a story that the author herself cares so little for that she undermines her own heroes credibility! What a disappointment!
This was my first book I read on my Kindle and honestly it's a really good book, i really liked it, everything was fast-paced and interesting, full of good plot twists !! I recommend it with 2 hands! <333
I loved this series about three brothers who are Vampire Wardens who meet the girls for them. as they hunt outlaw vampires :
Hot Vampire Kiss I loved this story about Marissa and Evan who meet when Evan is hunting a werewolf and Marissa becomes the victim of the wolf. It was a great story that had me hooked from the beginning. As Marissa tried to resist the wolf inside her and Evan tried to protect her. It was a great story though I wanted to find out what happened next.
Hot Vampire Seduction This was Kelly and Aidens story and it was great. With Aiden trying to protect Kelly as she got in the way of a vampire/werewolf blood drug ring. It was a great story and I loved that we found out more about Aiden and Troy in this book. Though it never gave a real update about the last book. would have been nice if Evan and Marissa had appeared to help. Still was a great book though that I wanted to continue.
Hot Vampire Touch This was Troy and Cassies story, which ws great as we finally found out why Troy was so different. It was a great story with Troy thinking Cassie had betrayed him when he was attacked and trying and failing to resist the attraction between them. Then working together to help cure him.
The only issue I found with all the books was that the story flowed daily then seemed to skip a few days or over a week. I personally think it affected the flow of the books. But they were all great books and cannot wait to continue into the werewolf series. xxx
Characters - OK - further development of the main characters would have been an improvement
Loss of characters or brief appearance of main characters across the 3 books seemed to happen a lot,( with the exception of Marcus)- also the mates of the leads totally disappear once their story was finished.
additional editing would have helped - typo and sentence structure noted
I had the feeling that the author just wanted it over with - each book had the quick wrap up
short stories - together they would have made a good book if finished off better, and tied together with more development of plot, characters etc
It wasn't a bad book(s), but it could have been better. It makes for a fantastic draft of a book that needs a bit more development and editing. If you're the type that gets really annoyed with editing problems, then you might want to hold off on this one.
The stories were good, but again, could have done with more development. Especially with Kelly (2nd story) promising to help Aiden fix Troy and then both of them disappearing. Kelly never shows back up, but Aiden comes in at the very end.
I enjoyed the story, but it was like reading a draft for a final book instead of the finished product.
I didn't love these but I did enjoy them for what they were. They were quick stories that put a lot into a small amount of time. the characters weren't fully explored and the "love" came VERY quick. There wasn't enough time to flesh things out fully for each brother. I actually fell asleep through some chunks (not bored just really tired when I was listening) and when I woke up I found that I didn't care enough to rewind and catch up.
story - 2.5 narrator 1.5
she didn't have different voices for her characters. the males sounded like 21yr old sorority girls and that was annoying.
Don't know what to say about this book... I listened to the audiobook and I think my problems started with the narrator. Really don't like the way she reads. Sometimes it's too fast, others she just stops for no reason, the voices se does for the different characters are anoying... Now about the stories, they are extremely fast paced, no character development, to me these felt like a school assignment with a limited no. of words... or a badly written Twillight fan fiction. Very disappointed with this author.
This was an amazing tale. Once I started reading I forgot about everything else. It took me away to another reality and then when I finished it was like, great back to routine.
It moved along at a great pace, had amazing characters and a great story.
Lisa Renee Jones is one of the best and I am hooked.
This book set was a fantastic read. Three brothers that happen to be Vampires. A traumatic past makes them Alpha's that don't mess around. In each book they battle some serious bad guys. They also find a mate that they must battle the past and present in order to have a future. Highly dramatic, ,hopeful, angsty and sexy.
Three shorter stories featuring three vampire brothers. The brothers are wardins whose job is hunting down and killing vampires lost to blood lust or werewolves bent on killing humans. Currently they are tracking a dangerous hybrid werewolf. In each story a brother meets his mate. Loved all of the stories in this box set.
Stories are hot and steamy! Enjoyable storyline and characters and plenty of steamy love scenes. I live in Central Texas so it was fun reading about things I was actually familiar with in Vampire Wardens. Look forward to reading more Werewolf Society tales.
Enjoyable vampire love with the entire stories of three brothers who are entirely different. The books have scorching hot and spicy love scenes but the books are so short that the story plot is too rushed for my liking.
All three short story's were good, but lacking something. Maybe they were too condensed to tell a worthy story. Yes they had hot sex but I needed more. I have never not liked a Lisa Renee Jones story.
