His heightened awareness is akin to extrasensory perception. He became able to identify information hidden from the normal senses, expanding into telepathy or clairvoyance. Although this perception is inexplicable by natural laws as defined by science, his years of training opened him up to levels of reality unknown to the average person. This allowed him to experience insights generally reserved for those with psychic abilities. The process opened up his awareness in ways he could never have imagined and allowed him to get a glimpse of a world he never knew existed. This is a world where magic like powers and psychic ability become as accessible to him as the physical abilities, he has known his entire life. Although the book is written in a fictive narrative, most of the experiences are factual. The objective of the book is to open up the reader to a reality that exists beneath the one we all think we know so well.
