Invisible Girls Club #2

Billionaires Don’t Fall For Awkward Girls

Rate this book
Every awkward girl deserves a happily ever after.

I’m the Awkward Girl, dirt-poor with an uncoordinated body. Easton Knight is the son of one of the wealthiest people in the world. He’s also my sworn enemy.

After he acts like a jerk to me on the first day of school, I promise myself to never say a single thing to him as long as I live. But then he does something kind for someone I love, and I don’t know what to think. Have I misjudged him? Maybe I should get to know the real Easton.

The more we hang out, the more I like him. My friends claim I’m falling hard, but if I’m not careful, I might get hurt. Because a rich guy like him would never choose a poor, awkward girl like me.

Or would he?

Billionaires Don’t Fall For Awkward Girls is the second book in the Invisible Girls Club, a sweet YA contemporary romance series. If you like invisible girls who snag the boys of their dreams, this book is for you!

This is the second installment in the “Invisible Girls” series, and it’s just as cute as the first! While the premise seems a little cheesy, the execution is an absolutely adorable, feel-good YA romance. That said, there’s a little bit of angst to add some depth to the story. Dani comes from a poor family, and her family is struggling to make ends meet. You wouldn’t think that the new billionaire in school and she would be able to find common ground, but they do. <3 Like the others in this series, this book reads as a lower-YA (despite the characters being sixteen), and it’s perfectly clean–no swearing, smut, or violence. 5 stars

Rolled my eyes the whole book. It isn’t 1 Star just because it kept me entertained.

OMG before I even get into the book I just read. I just want to say I can’t wait for Ally and Zack book. I know that it’s going to be something interesting. I knew her book was going to be next. Plus I can’t wait until Charlie get herself a book because she always saying no to relationships. Whereas her friends wanted love or found love.

Okay, so on with my review, I’m going to say the only downfall I didn’t like about this book was Dani kept saying Easton full name that was so annoying like I wish she would’ve just mentioned his first name like dang we know he’s a Junior and name after his dad.

Let’s, hope Ally doesn’t have an annoying Tik like that. But anyways I actually enjoyed this book better than Kara book. Dani wasn’t annoying as Kara was … this book deserve to be a 4 or a 5 star rate. I liked it and enjoyed it.

Glad Dani got over her beef she had with Easton. When he didn’t even know she hated him due to what he said to her on the first day. Glad they worked things out and got together. Plus Easton sticking it to his mom & his dad actually FINALLY having a VOICE and speaking up for his son. When he know darn well that Bianca was trash and a horrible person. Easton wasn’t the right fit for that horrible girl.

& not only that someone finally sticking it to Teagyn with her horrible self. I still can’t stand the girl. I was glad that she wasn’t hardly mentioned in this book.

I usually like Emma Dalton's books, but this is far from being liked.
There's so many problems, starting with : there's no chemistry between the two protagonists. It's like a forced romance between them and sadly it's like watching a third rate chick flick movie. It sort of seems like the author has this idea of how billionaires are and she just somehow squished it into the book. Like how she would want an ideal billionaire boyfriend to behave.
The next problem? The storyline started off good but then it's like all the important bits is stashed into the final chapters. The misunderstanding part takes over more than 50% of the book and the remaining is left for the actual problems. Maybe I've watched too many k-dramas, but the whole mother of the rich boy opposing the poor girl spiel is so short it's laughable. I mean Easton junior just storms into the house and confronts his mother about the "evil doings", and they have a mini argument and then bam! Everything is resolved. The engagement to the Burrell 's which was there from, gee, I don't know 17 years suddenly got resolved under frikking 5 mins and everything was alright. I mean hello? That is not the way things work! How can people just change their mind after like a short argument? The mother just looks at Easton's face and goes like "oh, he's in love, and I've been such a bad mother" , cue the tears and it's all a happy family now. Seriously? I will recommend some juicy K-dramas for the author to take some notes.
As a result, this book is neither a dramatic one nor a realistic one. It's like somewhere in between the two, and as mentioned, all these important bits are jammed into the last four chapters to make it seem complete. Kinda feels like it was rushed.(maybe the author was late for the deadline..?)
Anyway it was pretty disappointing story, with not much of sparks between the protagonists and not much to the storyline either.
I had read the next book in the series first (which i really liked - lots of drama in that one) and i started with this hoping for a rollercoaster ride but was given a merry-go-round instead.

Great character development!

Honestly I did NOT want Dani to fall for Easton at first. The poor girl with the rich boy is so overdone and he really was a JERK to her when they interacted at first. But....
Man, this story had some GREAT character development! We slowly get to see the good side Brayden has been talking about when it comes to Easton. We slowly get to see different sides to him. We catch the moment he starts falling for Dani and his slow progression to wanting to be better and to be seen.
Dani also has some growing up to do. Girl is petty, holds grudges, and doesn't seem able to stand up for herself. But between her girls and her getting to know Easton she came into herself too. I love seeing her confidence grow, her opening up, letting go and overall just shine. She's such a sweet and upbeat girl and I loved her 😍

This is a solid 4.5* read for me.
I really enjoyed it and read it super fast.
Of course it's unbelievable but I took it with a grain of salt. Because it offered a great escape and that's what are books for.
So I am really interested in Ally's story now that we had a small glimpse.

LOVE IT!!!

Dani and Easton have completely shattered my expectations of romance, just has Kara and Brayden have.

Again I love the romance and the friendship Dani and her girls have.

I love how Easton loves to spoil her and her friends and her friend’s boyfriends.
It’s a perfect example of him falling first but her falling harder.

And how he stuck up for her against his parents (mostly his mom) and it was just perfect!

A little Cinderella story

Easton Knight, the heir of the Knight family, is as much as bad boy as he can be. He had been promised to marry someone when he was just born so that his parents' empire could grow even bigger.

Dani Woods, the clumsy high school girl who loves to dance, is thrown at Easton by being his first contact at Edenbury Heights when she has to give him the grand tour.

Easton avoids everything and everyone at that school until he keeps running into Dani. What is it about this girl who keeps throwing death glares at him he has never even talked to her. And when did he stop ignoring everyone and keep thinking about this girl. There has to be something about her.

Dani cannot believe the audacity of Easton he truly does whatever he wants and as long as it is far away from her fine but when he gets thrown at her to do a project together she needs an A in all bets are off. Sweet Dani is all about letting him know what she feels about it and that she would rather do the work on her own. But when did she stop glaring at him every time she sees him.

It's a cute, fun high school Cinderella story with the rich guy and the poor girl. Both stuck in a situation that is not their own doing and who overcome it for their own gain.

I was really looking forward for this book since I always like rich boy poor girl relationship .. but this one wasn't my cup of tea
In this book we will follow Dani who is very poor and her parents are barely making ends meet, she hates Easton who is the richest guy in school, but one day they had an adventure together to get back Dani's bag and they form an unlikely friendship that later turns into love.. but they are from two different worlds, how will they continue their relationship ?
here is why I didn't like the book, the first half was just Dani complaining about her life and how miserable she is, no mention of Easton whatsoever, then when we get to 60% of the book Easton suddenly appears and gives an apology so they can get together faster, there was barely any chemistry between the two and I was really bored with their relationship .. I like that everything ended in an extremally happy note ( which I really don't mind we are escaping reality here) but I really didn't like the couple

As for the trope, I have no exact clue as to what is supposed to be, aside from a billionaire and a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. It could be enemies to lovers or a forbidden romance, based on Easton's situation before the events of the series. I'm going with the opposite attract trope.

I have some questions about this book. Like Kara's story,  I wish we got to see more of Easton's pov. I like how Dani's background isn't perfect. A pretty face doesn't always mean a perfect life.

Dani is such a selfless character, which is very much shown throughout the series as a whole. She has so much love to give and I definitely would have liked to have her as a friend on high school.

Easton, well, is a character. I can't really differentiate him from any other teen billionaires in other books that I have read. Someone who is blessed with such a wealthy lifestyle who feels trapped. What else is new?

LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS IVE EVER READ!! I finished this book in less than a day right after I did the same thing with the first book of this series. Kudos to Emma Dalton for writing this beautiful master piece and Kara’s story as well. I am now onto the third one even though it’s 12 in the morning and I have so much homework tomorrow. ENJOY!!!

Also if you want to know some facts about the book, I just want to say that this book is fast passed but it doesn’t skip important things (I stayed intrigued the whole time) and as a person constantly trying to find good ya romance books I have to say this check all the boxes. You get to see the couple together more than the last five pages and you really see the connection. I hope you love it too!!

Wow!!! I really love the storyline. I felt like I was watching a movie and I couldn't wait to see what happen next. This one was a bit different but really fast paced. Easton and Danielle didn't get together until close to the middle-end of the book. We got to see more growth between the characters. However I do have to say that they forgive the Mr. and Mrs. Knight was to easy for me review but that part worked on the end. Easton is a great man who wanted to help the world out and just be happy with someone who he loves. Danielle wanted to help her parents out so they didn't have to work so hard. These two people come from two different world but found each other. This was just sweet and I can't wait to read more of this series.

Dani and Easton are such a power couple!! I just love this series (so far) and this book!! Dalton knows how to get in the minds of her characters and just create such a dynamic relationship and unique friend group that is real and supportive and healthy. The dynamics Dalton has created remind me about my knit group of friends, which makes me enjoy this series even more.

I much appreciate the character development of Easton's parents, and I'm glad Bianca is out of the picture. I also really liked how Dalton included their financial troubles as a main conflict, which makes it all the more realistic and relevant.

I absolutely loved this book, as someone else said here I was looking for a book to get lost in, and this one was the perfect one to do so. You know when a book is really good when you reach the ending and you want more lol. The only thing I would point out is the change of heart of Easton's mom did feel a bit rushed other than that it was perfect! I can't wait to read the other books of the invisible girl series 🥰

Cute , clean read

Sweet, clean high school romance.

I always read this type of book after reading my usual dark read. It's pleasantly refreshing !

We meet Dani , a little clumsy but has great set of friends and family.
Easton is a rich boy, has a cold home life but is deep down a kind and caring young man.... how long first take Dani to realise that??

Only thing would of liked to heard from Easton side more...

i'm done with the book 😭😭😭

definitely a bit too ya for me. i also think the writing could be improved. there were a lot of redundancies and the story dragged a bit too much for me.

definitely picked up when easton and dani spent more time together and then later became together.

the book is definitely not for those wanting a realistic book. the book is the definition of cliche and happy ending. it's a happy vibes book you want to get in life and dream about.

I liked this book better then the first one I liked the romance and the connection the characters made even with them being opposites.

I liked the more mature themes of Dani being poor and having to work hard to get what she wants and her parents struggling I think that gave her a really good personality for her not being ashamed of where she comes from and who her parents are and what jobs they have.

I liked this sweet story of a rich boy falling for a poor, awkward girl. Story is cute but simple. The only negative is I didn't find the rich parents turnabout very believable. There should have been something extreme happening that caused such a difference in their attitudes. An event that would have shocked them would have explained their different behavior & made the story more interesting.

Enjoyed this read

I enjoyed this book. I did find Danni annoying quite a bit. I also would have liked more of Eastons POV, but overall the book was good. I felt like Dani and Easton getting together wasn’t vey organic and seemed random based on their interactions. I would read this book again.

This book was good to me. My rating is three stars because there was some cringey things in it 😬🤣. I understand that some families don’t have much money, so the parents overwork themselves. It became so cringey to me for some odd reason. It’s like every time I turned around Dani wood was making a remark about needing to get a job because her family needs the money 🤣. We get it!!

4/5⭐️

This was a very different read that was enjoyable. I definitely think the target audience is for young teens, but adults can enjoy this too.

Some areas seemed to drag more than others, but it was overall enjoyable. Not only that, I REALLY liked the climax of the book. I was surprised at how mature everyone handled it and how it portrayed healthy relationships between families.

If you like cheesy books then this is 100% for you, however it’s not my cup of tea. I could not with this book. It felt like I was back to being 13 reading stories on wattpad. I personally didn’t like the style of writing and while the story had potential it was very cringe to the point where I was skipping pages on pages of this book because I couldn’t handle it.

Easton might be a new fave. The mean girls seem a bit over exaggerated. I enjoyed the hard work of Dani and her family. Love that Easton chose her. Dani is sweet and grew as a character. I understand not responding to people and words getting stuck in my head.

Content:
This one has More kissing than the last one. One shirtless guy. No cursing. No smut.

Reads like a lower YA but still good.

So cute!!!

Okay yes, the ending was like Disney sweet. A bit too quick turnaround on Easton parents. Still it was adorable, gives you that stupid cute grin. Looking forward to the romantic Ally story!
