Just like book one, this had so many good pieces that didn't fully work together perfectly. This is a second chance romance and I would have loved to see some more flashbacks to fully understand their connection before they went their separate ways and Alabama hated Griff. I did enjoy how they had to tour together and slowly fell in love and started writing music together, but the suspense came out of nowhere and that scene was so confusing and hard to follow because there were so many loose ends. I had to reread the suspense scene multiple times because it didn't make sense who was where and how it all concluded. It also felt so forced because there wasn't really any development with that person in the plot; they just appeared out of nowhere to add suspense. The conflict with Alabama's dad also wrapped up too quickly and I felt like there was no genuine resolution there. Overall this, again, had good pieces but they didn't fit together well enough.

Meh

Ow - OM

Ow - he’s a man hoe . It’s mentioned how he had a different girl every night and sleep with half of Nashville . And says how he’s been celibate for a while . There is one part where h sees him with another girl on his lap but nothing happens . There is a girl Nikki ( ow) who H sleep with and she’s kinda obsessed with him . h finds her and H singing close ( this happened I think in a BAR ) but nothing happens . After h and H kiss he shuts her out . ( ow ) does try to shoot H but h throws herself to save H . So h gets shot. She’s fine tho .

Om - h is not a virgin . when she finds ow and H singing she’s jealous and dances with another guy and even kisses him . Before anything happens H comes and separates them .

H even bets fifty dollars if he has h on his bed in a week . Which is a reason for their separation ( almost at the end )

After a tabloid scandal threatens her newfound fame, Alabama Forester, returns to her hometown and to her job in the local diner. Soon Alabama is offered a second chance - tour with a popular country rock band and get her career back on track. But Griff Greyson is more than just the lead singer; he happens to be Alabama’s first love and the man who broke her heart.

I am a sucker for second chance romance and I enjoyed that aspect of this book a lot. I was interested to see what kind of history our two MCs had and what had happened to create such distance between them. However, I felt like the pacing was off and as a result, the book dragged quite a bit during the second half of the story. I also struggled to connect to the characters and didn’t feel the rooting interest I had hoped I would.

Read if you like:
•country music romance
•second chance love
•forced proximity
•angst
•small town romance

Thank you Valentine PR for my gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.

Be still my little heart! Because Griff and Alabama are here to save the day with music and true love!

Wow! Just... Wow! Ava Hunter did it again! She brought back this amazing fictional world with another heartfelt and touching book of hope and redemption. A second chance story not only in love but in everything that seems to be lost because of past mistakes, bad decisions and people who wants to take advantage of those moments of weakness!

We met Alabama in book one, and honestly? I hated what she did to my dear Luke and Sal, and when I found out she was the heroine of book two I was intrigued. My goodness, what a way to redeem her! I felt for her from the very start and empathized with her and her story. She was such a tender and beautiful human being who made a terrible mistake under pressure and was definitely deserving of a second chance in life. I loved her determination and the effort she made to put her past behind her and try her best to close her ears to the evil of the tabloids and the people who wanted to crucify her publicly. I loved to see her growing into a strong woman who believed in herself, her power and her talent and also into a person who understood the meaning of forgiveness because she once needed it too. Once she got her confidence back and started believing in herself she became such a badass who fought for love and her passion.

I fell in love with Griff from the first page. What a hot, swoony and imperfectly perfect book boyfriend he was! His amazing character growth was so beautifully written. He was the typical cocky rock star at the beginning, but the moment he crossed paths with Alabama, his entire demeanor changed and his true self came up. I loved how his fight to fix things with Alabama and the healing he needed to be the passionate musician he'd always been were so interconnected, it made it the swooniest thing ever. He defended her, believed in her and appreciated everything about her, his love for her was so palpable in everything he said and did, even with the secrets he was holding and the screwups. I loved how deep Ava got into his character, bringing his past to the surface to heal him and giving him a beautiful hope for the future with Alabama as he deserved.

I just love Ava Hunter's style so much! She writes with so much passion for music, she really knows its power to bring people together and it pops out so much in her storytelling. Griff and Alabama were magical together, they were so right for each other creatively, physically and emotionally. I loved how deep their connection was because of their talents and because they were each other's muses. The inspiration they pulled up from each other was the sweetest thing I've ever read! Their mutual love for music, how much they enjoyed creating together brought them closer to each other and reminded them how much they loved one another.

"The thought hits him like a buckshot: the music's never mattered to him because it wasn't with Alabama.

That's why he never took it seriously.
Because all along, all this time, it needed her.
He needed her."

The sexy times? My goodness, I had to fan myself because it was so beautiful and hot! They were filled with so much emotion and passion, the right amount for them to fall in love again and crave each other even more than before.

I enjoyed seeing them going back to their roots, the courage they had to face their personal past mistakes and also their mistakes as a couple, how willing they were to listen and understand and more importantly to forgive. The situations they had to go through had me biting my nails, they broke my heart and pieced it back together again with so much love.

I absolutely freaking adored to see my beloved Kincaid family back, being their usual loyal, loving and supportive selves as always! Especially my dear Luke and Sal, who will always have that special place in my heart.

I just loved this book so much it hurts that is over but I sure will re-read it in the future and will continue to love and recommend this series. It brought so much joy to my heart and a hopeful smile to my face.

A million thanks to Ava Hunter for gifting me this beautiful paperback ARC in exchange for an honest review.

STEAM: 🔥🔥🔥

If I wasn't such a sucker for angsty, emotional romances, I would give Ava Hunter the same ultimatum that Griff Greyson's manager gave him: Stop hitting (me in the feels).

Because this read makes two-for-two in getting readers invested in her characters and taking us on an emotional roller coaster as they work through second chances, well-intended secrets, and love deeply embedded in their souls.

Griff Greyson is holding on to his last chance at making his music career work. After coasting through albums, tours, and contracts on a hard liquid diet and occasional bar brawls, his manager gives him an ultimatum: Shape up on this last tour or he can bid his career goodbye. There is also another clause to this last-chance deal: He has a new opening act, Alabama Forrester.

We met Alabama in Sing You Home as the pawn used to break up Luke and Sal. She's hiding from the unforgiving media and equally relentless fans in her hometown, barely making enough to pay back the contract she broke with her former music company. Griff comes to deliver the news: She opens for him in exchange for a handsome sum of money, enough to pay what she owes and more. She needed convincing since these two apparently share a painful past filled with secrets and broken hearts. She reluctantly agrees, and we're off to the races.

I love the redemption arc for these two characters. They've gone from jerky side characters to relatable and loveable main ones. who you want to find their happily ever after. That transition, that journey is so well done. There is a natural, well-paced progression from re-introducing them to getting to know them to eventually falling in love with them. I adore broody but protective Griff. He is rough around the edges, but his vulnerability and dedication make him an easily lovable lead. Alabama is strong and fierce, but like Griff, she also has her share of anxieties that make her very relatable.

I would be remiss to not mention the delicious tension between these two. Their bickering, the push-and-pull, and all of the small details Ava Hunter weaves into their every interaction. They all build a wonderful feeling of anticipation toward when these two will finally get their heads out of their bums and get together.

If you love a well-written classic love story about second chances, I cannot recommend this book and this series enough.

Griff Greyson may be a country music star, but his star is falling faster than a meteor. I can’t say I’m too sorry for him because he's turned himself into a country song cliché with his drinking, carousing, fighting, and womanizing ways. Even his pickup truck is ready to leave his sorry self.

Griff was in love years ago with a pretty girl from small-town Texas, until tragedy struck and Griff high-tailed it out of town to Music City USA. But now his career needs a defibrillator and disgraced Alabama Forester is just what the label and his manager recommend. Except they have no idea the history Griff and Alabama share, and there's about to be more of that hot, fly-ridden stuff to step in than a Vegas rodeo compost pile.

It starts out as a way to bolster two faltering careers, except things between Griff and Alabama quickly turn into more, but not before more bad behavior on Griff's part. These two have a lot of hurt, anger, regrets, and guilt to work through while trying to ignore that pesky attraction that reawakens like a starving beast.

Y'all, I love these two together so much! I'll admit, I really didn’t like Griff much to begin with, and I wondered how this swaggering, selfish, *insert your favorite derogatory term here* would ever redeem himself. But he did, in glorious, spectacular fashion. Their road is definitely not easy, leaving my heart in my throat or me yelling at characters at times, but what an exhilarating, heartfelt, rewarding journey!

It's always a risk trying a new author, but Hunter really impressed me with her first book and certainly proves her mettle with this second offering. From unique, flawed, endearing characters and a masterfully crafted storyline full of surprises, to a complicated, emotional, satisfying romance everything fit perfectly together. This one definitely needs to go to the top of your TBR, and then go back and read the first book. I guarantee you'll fall in love with these characters and you'll have a new favorite author to follow through many more phenomenal, evocative, memorable stories.

I just love a good, heartfelt romance and Find You Again (Nashville Star#2) is a hit! Griff and Alabama are former high school sweethearts who parted on not so good terms. Throughout the years, they’ve both had success as country music stars. Due to less than favorable events, Griff and Alabama have been ostracized from that world, their reputations have taken a major hit and they’ve hit rock bottom so to speak. And now, certain circumstances have reunited them and they need each other more than ever.

An opportunity of a life time presents itself to Griff and Alabama however, she’s hesitant to go on tour with him because of their past as she’s truly never gotten over him. Yet she knows that neither one of them can afford to pass on this opportunity as they need this tour to revive their careers. As to be expected, they were some ups and downs given their past. And I love every single thing about Griff and Alabama’s second chance journey. Their connection and chemistry is deep and soulful which makes for a meaningful and engaging storyline. One of the best things I love about this book is that Ava Hunter does a wonderful job with Alabama’s character and she really makes her shine. I definitely recommend reading Find You Again.

⁣I wanna start this review by thanking Ava for sending me this ARC, it means a lot that you trust me to give this book a read before it comes out.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
This book was a little different than what i was used to. I never read a book from the author’s perspective and also never a country related book.⠀⠀
This is the story of Alabama and Griff and how you can always get a second chance, not only when it comes to love but also to redeem the mistakes of the past.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
I totally fell in love with Griff and with all his imperfections! How he was so arrogant and just so freaking cocky at the begging and when he saw Alabama, for the first time in a long time, his true self just showed and it made me melt ngl
When it comes to Alabama i just loved how determined she was to get back into music again and redeem her past. She was such an amazing and strong woman and also so confident, i’m quite jealous 😫⠀⠀
I just love these two together, their chemistry is just everything and you can really tell that their relationship it just has so much emotion and passion and ugh i loved it!⠀⠀
⠀⠀
I don’t want to spoil any of it but you guys really need to take some time and just read this book honestly!⠀⠀
I loved Ava’s writing a lot and how she described every moment with such a perfection! I was just impressed that i could actually read a book from the author’s pov!⠀

So Ava Hunter has done it again! Book two in the Nashville Star series was just as brilliant as the first! I was hooked from the first page to the last. She is a talented author and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!!

The characters are well thought out and their development is excellent. I came into this a bit apprehensive about Alabama Forester because of how she was portrayed in the first book, but I LOVE HER! To find out what REALLY happened and WHY it happened was so needed. I ended the book completely in love with her. ♥️

Griff.. 🔥🔥🔥 I fell for him almost instantly. The reasons behind why he acted how he did.. 😍 He just made me swoon and hot under the collar.

Griff and Alabamas chemistry was INSANE! There is some spicy scenes in this book.. 🔥🔥 yummy!

I loved their time on the road, travelling from gig to gig, I felt like I was along for the ride with them. That’s what Ava makes you feel, like you are IN the story, not just reading it.

Thank you Ava, for another great read ♥️

This was a absolutely perfect follow up to the first book.

Alabama Forester is in a terrible slum after the events that came to light in the first book. She has gone back to her hometown to get away from the fall out after everything that’s happened.

Griff Greyson and Alabama grew up together. She thought they were forever until he left and never looked back.

Thrown together after years of pain and betrayal. This is a second chance at love that is not to be missed. This is my second book by this amazing author and it has all the feels. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Find You Again 💖💖💖💖💖

This was another great addition to Nashville Star series that will make you tear up while reading it. The emotional story was beautiful and intense and was everything I was hoping for from Ava Hunter

Alabama and Griff had a great thing going twelve years ago till one single accident broke them apart. And now, all these years later she’s the only one who can save his career as a singer. They both have their secrets but the love they had for each other years ago is still there. But are they going to be able to put the past and the current situation win or will the finally get their HEA?

I loved loved loved this story and I can’t wait to read more of Ava Hunter’s books ❤️

Alabama and Griff

They were once high school sweethearts and both were on a path to stardom in the music world. Then he left leaving her heartbroken. Alabama made a bad choice and everything fell apart. She headed back home and is now tending bar being miserable.

Griff lived the life of stardom with the women and the booze and had lost the girl he once loved. Now he’s back propositioning her hoping to get their careers going again.

To say that there is sexual tension is speaking lightly. The pages in this book sure heated up. I loved the second chance these two had. I will definitely be reading more from this author again.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Alabama "Al" Forester, a one-hit washed-out country superstar, caught in the most recent public scandal to rock the country music scene. Labeled as a "problematic" artist, Al wants a fresh start after trusting the wrong people with her career. Desperate to get back to the music and start earning, Al accepted the offer to tour with someone from the past, who betrayed her from the very beginning.

Griff Greyson is the typical out-of-control country rocker with a knack for getting himself into trouble without even trying. Griff's record label has had enough of his "antics" and instead assigned a front act to rejuvenate his image with having someone more scandalous than him and still haunts his world.

These two old friends need each other to get what they want badly - an epic tour and a fresh start. But what happens when the country-pop star and the bad-news, bad-boy tour realizes that what they initially thought was important is no longer that.

-----

Things I LOVE about Find You Again:
1.) The chemistry of Al and Griff.
I am a goner for "childhood sweethearts" themes with "deeper connections." Sizzling and undeniable attraction thought initially by both Al and Griff, as forgotten. Oh, how wrong they both are. I got all excited with slowly started understanding that they are so "meant-to-be!" This book has it and more!

2.) Theme of self-worth - count me in!
Two broken characters are trying to find their way back to each other. The book is very different from Book 1, wherein the theme was more "sensationalized" with the rediscovery of Sal with her memory loss. This story is more believable and relatable than the previous storyline - "not being worthy enough" syndrome. I also like the honesty and grit of these very vulnerable characters.

3.) Songs that will have readers melt to!
Many new "penned" songs in this book got me swooning then understanding the depth of emotions for Al and Griff.
It also gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at what happened - what went wrong that fateful night that tainted their relationship. If the story doesn't get readers bawling or gushing, the songs cranked out by Al and Griff are epic!

4.) Past characters reunion!
Book 1's Luke, Sal, and the rest of the Brothers Kincaid all lend their support in this book. There was some tension since Al's position from the last book, although remedied, wasn't a positive one. It is an interesting take on how Al is responsible for curbing Griff's frustration and anger, wherein Al's like Griff's calm whisperer. It showed how much peace (and sometimes grief) Al provides to Griff - cute in many ways.

5.) Bonus Novella at the end!
I am now curious as to how the Kincaid family are doing after Book 1's ending. The short cameo paved the way for a short novella to answer the burning questions hopefully and resolve a few "concerns" mentioned in this book, wherein there's more to their story than a few paragraphs in Book 2 got me excited!

-----

Overall, I love the character development and raw emotions in Find You Home! It is a newer set of emotions brought by fear, misjudgment, betrayal, and abandonment - which are very different from the previous book. It's as heartwrenching and REAL as one gets after the challenges and failures Al and Griff went through. I am very SOLD with whatever Al and Griff were selling - even more than Sal and Luke! I hope they will be mentioned for other new development in the following books to know how far their HEA will be!

Before I end, I have to say - the cover is EVERYTHING!
Am I a cover fan, and can it sway my review? Yes and no. I love cover art and design, but a cover cannot influence my review. It can help, but a great story and writing still rank higher than a beautiful cover. I gravitated to the cover that made me love the book more. It was impossible NOT TO READ this, and I am sure readers will feel it!

“I’m sayin’, let’s start over, together.”
“I got nothin’ if you’re not right there with me.”

I think the Nashville Stars series has officially become my new obsession. I love Ava’s work so I cannot believe it’s taken me this long to get to her debut series!! These country singers are really stealing my heart and pulling on those strings I swear. Find You Again is book two in this country singer romance series and it is centred around Nashville’s pop-country princess Alabama Forester and rock-star bad boy Griff Greyson. If you are looking for an enemies to lovers and childhood sweethearts fix then this book is for you.

Initially I was a bit sceptical as to whether I was gonna love this one or not. Alabama wasn’t portrayed in the best light in book one, it made her slightly unlikable because you were obviously rooting for the two main characters in that book. As a side character she was in the there to stir drama, we did see that character growth towards the end of book one which did help her story in her own book.

Let’s just say my mind was quickly changed after the first few chapters of this book! The chemistry and the longing between these two was off the charts. As much as they wanted to hate each other they couldn’t resist the fast returning electricity between them. Alabama’s been hurt before, Griff left her high and dry as teenagers and she’s determined to not let him back into her heart, she’s here to make music and sing her songs and that’s that. Griff initially wanted to keep his distance but five minutes after being back in Al’s orbit and he’s thrown back into the past and finds those old feelings resurfacing faster than he is prepared for.

The writing in this one was well improved from book one, the story easy to follow and had me wanting to know more about these two after every page. The yearning in this book has been kicked up to eleven, both from Alabama and Griff but with Al still on the fence about her growing feelings and her future in music she’s not ready to give in to that broody, handsome man from her past. Griff was pretty much on his knees in love with Alabama from the second page and he pretty much always has been, he is the ultimate definition of ‘pining’ and it’s always so refreshing to see a man desperately obsessed with his woman.

These two were absolute fire together, on the stage and off and I am so happy I stuck with this series because it is just getting better and better. I adored the Sal and Luke cameos and truly loved that Alabama got a hold of her own name and music and turned them both into something she could be proud of. Griff turning his life around too was super heartwarming to see, turns out he just needed his spitfire redhead back in his life and everything else just fell back into place.

If you haven’t already I would give this series a shot. I’ve loved it so much more than I was expecting, another quick-easy read that I devoured in less than a day. Ava Hunter truly knows how to keep us fed with her badass fmcs and her down-bad mmcs.

Ava Hunter is back with the second installment of the Nashville Star series and per usual, she made me fall in love with the characters, but also managed to shock me with twists and turns.

Failed pop-country singer Alabama Forester is back living in her hometown of Clover, TX, after being outed in a scandal with another singer. Getting sued for damages by her record label, Alabama has 30 days to pay off her debt. Feeling backed against a wall, she begrudgingly accepts going on tour with her former high school sweetheart, Griff Greyson, who's on an apology tour of his own after bad behavior. Will forced proximity ignite the flame this pair has tried to push down for years or will they go their separate ways after they both get what they need out of the tour?

I really enjoy the world created in this series and was so excited to dive back in. You get hints of both characters in the first book, but I absolutely loved reading Alabama and Griff's story. In this second chance romance, the pair are damaged and carry some heavy baggage. Both are looking for more out of life and more from their respective careers, but have hit dead-ends.

Alabama is one tough cookie, who doesn't put up with crap from anyone. Determined to make it in the world, she will do anything to get ahead, even if it's at the detriment to herself and her well-being. I love how she doesn't put up with Griff's BS and pushes him to be better, because she sees the good in him that others sometimes look past.

If you're in need of a bearded, tattooed hero who has a soft side, look no further than Griff Greyson. Behind his tough exterior, he is full of regrets, but refuses to let Alabama down. He's also incredibly respectful of Alabama's family's wishes when it comes to him, even though he might not agree.

Find You Again is an open-door, rock star romance with suspense and action rolled into it. I loved seeing characters from the first book and am looking forward to the next book in the series to see what is in store next for this ragtag band of misfits!

Find You Again by Ava Hunter

Thank you so much to @authoravahunter for reaching out to me and getting me an early copy of Find You Again! I don’t always have time to read arcs but when Ava sent me a description of her book, I couldn’t say no. It was calling out to me! This book is a second chance romance between high school sweethearts Alabama Forester and Griff Greyson.

Alabama Forester was finally making her dreams come true-becoming a chart topping country singer in Nashville. And she did it all without Griff Greyson-the man she loved who left her behind in their small town of Clover, TX without so much as a goodbye. But she isn’t doing it the way she wants to be, and when she finds herself dethroned as the country/pop princess amid a scandal, Alabama finds herself back in Clover waiting tables at the diner to try to make ends meet.

Griff Greyson is country music’s resident bad boy, with the reputation to go along with it. Griff’s label is tired of his antics and they are giving him one more shot to clean it up. Go on tour…and bring Alabama Forester along as his opening act. It’s an offer Alabama can’t say no to-but as soon as she and Griff are back in each other’s lives they quickly realize those old feelings from 12 years ago haven’t left. In fact they’ve gotten stronger. But Alabama is determined to make this comeback count-and that doesn’t include getting together with this bad boy, even if she’s still head over heels in love with him.

This book was not super spicy as fas as sex scenes go, but there was a lot of sexual tension. But the story! I was so invested in Griff and Alabama! And the way Ava wrote them-I felt like I was deep in the heart of Texas listening to those two talk! I loved their story and I’m so glad I got the chance to read it!

Find You Again releases January 3 and will be available on KU and paperback!

And here I thought nothing can beat Luke and Sal but Griff and Alabama might’ve just taken their spot. I was really looking forward to this book and it certainly did not disappoint!! I devoured it from start to finish and I couldn’t wait to see how their relationship unfolded.
Man, oh man, what can I say about Griff. He is absolutely one of my favorite book boyfriends. I love tattooed, arrogant bad boy heroes who turns into just the sweetest and endearing people around the heroine and that is exactly what happened to Griff. He did not stand a chance against Alabama. The moment she stepped foot onto the tour bus, he was a goner.
As much as I loved Griff, Alabama is such a strong character. Huge props for her for trying to prove herself back to the public eye after all the continuous backlash she gets. No matter how hard she gets knocked down, she just picks herself right back up. She also wasn’t afraid to go toe to toe with Griff by not putting up with his reckless behavior and constantly having to call him out on it.
When you put Griff and Alabama together, they were such a powerhouse couple. Their sexual tension between them was off the charts, anytime they’re within the same vicinity, you can physically feel it.
It was such fantastic and heartwarming read. I found myself wanting more of Griff and Alabama immediately after I was done. This was such a great first read to start of 2022!

This is the second book in Ava Hunter's Nashville Star series. I read Sing You Home last month and LOVED it so when I had the opportunity to read Find You Again a little early I was SO excited. Spoiler alert: I think I loved this one more than the first. But a more rough around the edges love interest is more my style 😉

Alabama and Griff were high school sweethearts when a terrible accident leaves Alabama with a hip that’s never been the same and a broken heart. Griff leaves her high and dry and she has never known why. Years later after a major scandal in Nashville, Alabama is trying to pick up the pieces and pay off her debt when Griff shows up at her door asking her to be the opening act for his upcoming tour. Griff is the country music bad boy. Women, drinking, fights. But he’s finally gone too far. This tour is his last chance to redeem himself with his label. When two formers lovers, all grown up, head on a tour sparks fly, tempers rage, and feelings are shared as they realize they both never quite moved on.

There are so many things I enjoyed about this book! One, Alabama and Griff are great examples of broken characters. They have both made mistakes. They are far from perfect. But damn aren’t they perfect for each other! Plus Griff is way more my type. Bad boy, country rocker? Sign me up! The chemistry between the two is palpable and the spice is 🔥 🔥 Honestly, this is the first second chance romance I can remember reading in a long time and I loved it. The story line is great! The drama I absolutely did not see coming. It was not predictable at all which I appreciated. This is a stand alone novel BUT we still see the characters from the first book in the series and the author did a great job closing up some loose ends I didn’t even know I felt like were loose ends 🤣

If you like second chance romances, rough around the edges bad boys, a fiery red head, and some spice 🥵 pick this one up!

I liked Find You Again, and Alabama was a clear favorite just by how tough and sassy she was, but I don't think I connected to either character very much.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Griff most of the time. He'd have some really great lines (my favorite being, "Tell me my whole world ain't over.") but sometimes he was a douche and it was hard to like him. I also kept waiting for one of the big secrets to come out and the longer he put it off, the angrier I was.

This book was pretty good, but not all the time. To be honest, I'm not the type of person who reads song lyrics in a book - especially if it's not integral to the point - so I was skimming a few times. I enjoyed Find You Again like one of those anti-gravity plane moves (where the plane flies up and then basically falls so there's zero gravity) - sometimes I really liked it, sometimes I didn't.

I have not read the first one and the only context I might have been lacking was Luke and Sal's story. I was not prepared for their backstory to come out and drastically change the tone of the book. It wasn't bad, but I might have been able to prepare myself for the sudden shift if I had previous knowledge.

I received a free ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

Y’all!! Dare I say I loved Alabama and Griff MORE than Sal and Luke?!? Ah! I love a good redemption story and these two had me all in my feelings!

Alabama is a feisty redhead and Griff is a tattooed ‘bad boy’ of country music! Need I say more?

“I want to reckon it could get better
Go back to the way it was back then
Because the cold hard truth is that
Baby, you broke my heart but maybe I could find you again . . . “

Leaving their small town in Texas set on success in Nashville, they both end up in the wrong spotlight. She’s labeled a home wrecker and he is the bad boy. The only way he can make a comeback is asking the girl he once loved to go on tour with him. The only thing is, he broke her heart when they were younger and now she hates him .. or does she??

Once on tour, their forced proximity and past feelings begin to surface. They may just get “..that find-you-again-kiss-you-until-your-knees-go-weak-need-you-so-damn-bad second chance.”

I loved the playlist Ava put together for this book and have been listening to some of my favorite country songs the last few days!

This is a MUST read!

“His mind’s made up. He’s told himself time and time again he wouldn’t do this with her, he’d stay the fuck away, but he can’t fight it any longer. He wants her. In every way he can possibly have her.” - Griff

“ I said it before and I’ll say it again. You are the best man for me, Griff.” - Alabama

Can you saw swoooooon?!? 😍😍😍

FIND YOU AGAIN by @authoravahunter is the second book in her Nashville Star series. Book one is SING YOU HOME, and if you remember from when I raved about it in September, I absolutely LOVED it. Find You Again follows my love for this series.

A second chance romance with a rugged, country bad boy singer and a fiery red head trying to carve her own path after some bad rep from the media?! Sign me up 🤩👏🏻👏🏻 Find You Again publishes Jan 3, 2022… less than two weeks away! Go preorder NOW!

This may be my fav second chance romance (with ALL the steam 🔥🔥🔥) Ava knows how to write flawed characters against the backdrop of country music (which is my fav!) Alabama and Griff are the definition broken characters, fighting their own personal demons. What they don’t know yet, is that they need each other (again) to finally feel whole and heal.

One of my favourite parts of this story- how Ava highlighted how much harder women have it in the public eye once their reputation is tarnished. Men bounce back and can usually use their bad rep to further gain in their career (in this case, music). However, women do not come out from the same situation as successful as males. Their bad rep follows them and they have to work twice as hard to prove their own worth. This is what Alabama struggles with and is trying to overcome.

Another part I absolutely love?! Ava includes songs in the books that reflect the main characters… and she writes the signs herself!! The songs are amazing 😻

Find You Again sees the main characters from book 1 (Sing You Home), which I really liked! But you don’t have to read book 1, to read book 2. They are stand aloneness within the series. But trust me, you will want to start with book 1. Both are amazing! I HIGHLY recommend these books!

One thing I love about Ava Hunters Books is the pacing. The story gets going real fast and I love that. Your not immediately thrown into the action but it comes pretty quick.

I loved the banter, agony, and enemies to lovers vibe that Griff and Alabama had going at the beginning of the book. The angst and their past still hurting them.

I wish that her being shot would have resulted in more emotion more worrying him about her. Just generally a bigger deal. They both suffered so much from it mentally that I was wishing there would be more sorrow connected to that. Especially when he saw that paint all over her. I wanted him to be gut wrenched brought to his knees. Him confessing his deep love for her how loosing her would end him. That kind of thing.

The angry love confession on the other hand was good! Loved it. Also I really liked how he loved her but also how fiercely she loved him.

I felt like the end was kinda of rushed. I also don't like it when books end with things not really finished. I would have really like seeing Alabama making up with her dad and Griff talking to his relatives.

And the third act break up was so unnecessary. I would have loved it more if she would have criticized the Nashville Star and they uncover something about it maybe Freddie working with them calling them out how a label only takes you with a certain narrative and how hard women have it in the industry. That would have been so refreshing. Unfortunately we had a boring ol third act break up. In my opinion he should have been upfront with her when he knew he loved her. Brain should have been a bigger role.

I also loved the cameos of the characters from the first book. Sal and Luke are one for the best couples ever. Like they are literally the guys from that Tiktok mama y papa sound. I love it. They are so laid back and just awesome together

I was surprised by the choice of characters for the second book in this series and I felt that the second Chance aspect was solid but not all the way fleshed out. I wish we saw more of their pasts and how they had a connection but I love the female characters that Ava Hunter writes.

I think Ava Hunter is becoming one of my favorite authors. This series is exactly what I am looking for! Hot country men! Lots of drama! Spice! Hurt/comfort! Pining! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a dramatic read that still has a happy ending.

Happy release day!! @authoravahunter⁣

If you love forced proximity, enemies to lovers, second chance romances, with amazing chemistry, great steam, and country music this is the book for you!⁣

Ava has a way to pulling you into the story from the get go. She writes these beautifully broken characters who develop and show so much growth throughout her stories. ⁣

This story was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. It’s an intense emotional ride, that’ll you want to take. Griff is a rock star, with a drinking and fighting problem, who’s a total smooth talker and is close to losing his career if he gets into one more fight. Alabama is a pop country start who really wants more of a blues vibe but her last producer ruined her image. (Read Sing You Home for a little back story.) These two are constantly pushing each other and destroying each other while also picking each other up and it’s so dang beautiful. ⁣
