As winter sweeps in Courtney Cain’s charity money goes missing, and the prime suspect ends up colder than the winter chill... Can Courtney find the culprit before something even worse happens?
The Curly Bay locals swear that winter’s going to be a cold one, but Courtney is warmed by the thought of a Books and Barks charity event at the local library.
Until the donation money takes a walk, and the prime suspect ends up dead!
The plot gets thicker and Courtney knows she’s got to dig deep to discover who is responsible for these dastardly Curly bay crimes.
This author doesn't write just about animals and matching humans with their prospective pets. She also addresses needs of humans as well as animals. For instance, this story addressed the fact one of the characters was homeless, as well as talking about how we should be prepared in case of a bad storm. The characters are becoming beloved to me, the plot is easily followed, and the premise is finding out who killed the grumpy library worker and why. The answers revealed a lot of facts no one was aware of. I definitely recommend this book and the books before it.
Book 9 in this series was as good as all the others. I really enjoy a little humor with just the right amount of mystery and a sweet animal to make a cozy mystery come together
What happens at the library does not always stay at the library. What a great idea of people reading to rescue animals at the library, what a great fundraiser.
