Ideas on Demand has 19 chapters and is divided into 7 sections and it takes you through the process of becoming creative and coming up with wow ideas. There are exercises at the end of each chapter and these exercises urge you to put time and apply your mind while attempting them. There are examples, anecdotes and techniques to help you become creative.
The positive thing about this book is that it stresses on how everyone is creative and that creativity isn't limited to a few selected individuals. There are certain places in the book where your thinking is challenged(especially when your thought process is rigid). The intention of this book is to make you help you achieve a flexible mindset.
This book should be read with a patient and a receptive mindset. This book should be read twice. One without attempting the exercises and the second time, the reader should attempt the exercises after finishing the chapter.
Overall, reading this book is a good and a useful experience.

The book is crisp and straight to the point!

Short guidebook on how we can be creative.

Expect short sentences, short chapters. Great for beginners and casual nonfiction/ self help readers.

Do not expect in depth ideas and explanations.

A good short self help book to boost your confidence if you feel stuck specifically if you are a content creator or an entrepreneur.

If I could give this book more stars, I would. In the last few years there have only been three books that have changed my thinking (my life) and this is one of them. I am a creative person. But now, wow! I wasn't thinking of purchasing another book on "creativity" but this one stood out. I think it was the "10x your ideas" wording. It wasn't the title. I read on my eReader and printed out 25 pages of highlights (and I was being careful). I know I need to return and re-read it a second time. Maybe more. I want this to sink in fully and I don't want to miss a thing. Haven't checked for a printed version. If I find one on Amazon, I'm getting that one. Me and my highlighters will have a ball (again).

Buy this book!!!!! And do the exercises he gives along the way. I tried reading the first four chapters without doing the exercises and I apologize for this. It was a mistake. I started reading it again, doing each exercise AND allowing a day in between for my brain to process/expand on what I was learning.

I'm still practicing every day, sometimes several times throughout the day when I have time. It is the practices, as he recommends, that expands creativity 10 fold. The author kept her promise ten times over.

Didn't really work for me

This book had a promising start but ultimately, it didn't work for me.

The structure is a bit of a mess with lots of references to outside resources and TedX videos (which doesn't really work if you're reading the book on an ereader), lots of 'I will talk about this some more in ChapterX' and exercises I failed to connect with.

There are some useful tidbits there, but it wasn't enough to keep my interest and I found myself flicking through the last chapters.

Unfortunately, this wasn't for me.

A little too business-focused for me. More about inventing new things or coming up with advertising ideas than creating art just for the sake of creating.

Ideas on Demand" is an insightful and practical guide aimed at anyone who feels creatively stuck or struggles to generate fresh ideas, particularly those in marketing, entrepreneurship, or any field where innovation is key. The book's central premise is that creativity is not just an innate talent but a skill that can be developed and honed with the right techniques. Through a blend of neuroscience, psychology, and practical exercises, the author provides readers with a toolkit to unlock their creative potential and transform their approach to problem-solving.
The book begins by addressing common creativity blocks—such as fear of failure, overthinking, and lack of confidence—and offers actionable strategies to overcome them. The author introduces six major creativity blocks that many people face, explaining how they stifle innovation and suggesting methods to bust through these barriers. This foundational understanding sets the stage for deeper exploration into how great minds like Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, and Steve Jobs were able to consistently generate groundbreaking ideas.
One of the book’s strengths lies in its exploration of how the brain works during "Eureka" or "Aha" moments. It delves into the role of the subconscious mind, revealing how it can be trained to produce a steady stream of innovative ideas. The author uses solid research findings to explain what happens in the brain during these moments of insight and how readers can replicate these processes. By training the subconscious mind through specific exercises and mindset shifts, readers can increase their capacity to generate ideas on demand.
The book also challenges readers to rethink their assumptions and use constraints to their advantage. Rather than seeing limitations as obstacles, the author encourages readers to view them as catalysts for creativity, sparking innovative solutions that would otherwise remain undiscovered. This perspective shift is crucial for anyone looking to stand out in a crowded marketplace or tackle complex challenges.
One of the most compelling aspects of "Ideas on Demand" is its focus on building self-confidence. The author argues that confidence is a crucial ingredient for creative success, as it empowers individuals to take risks and push beyond their comfort zones into the "10x zone"—a space where their impact and influence can be exponentially increased. Practical exercises are provided to help readers develop the confidence needed to act on their ideas and present them with conviction.
Throughout the book, the author shares techniques used by some of history’s most creative figures to connect disparate dots and generate "wow" ideas. These techniques are not just theoretical; they are accompanied by practical examples and exercises that readers can implement immediately. By the end of the book, readers will have a robust set of tools to generate ideas that are not only innovative but also impactful."Ideas on Demand" is more than just a book about creativity; it’s a blueprint for success in any field that requires innovative thinking. By following the strategies outlined in this book, readers can transform their approach to creativity, enabling them to 10x their ideas, boost their career or business, and unlock a world of opportunities. This is a great book for anyone who wants to boost their creativity and come up with new ideas. After reading it thoroughly, I found it both helpful and easy to understand. The main idea is that creativity isn't something you're born with, it's a skill you can develop with the right mindset and tools.

The author introduces a fail-proof, five-step program that is designed to help you generate ideas on demand. The program leverages neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections. This approach is aimed at helping readers rewire their brains, eliminate creative blocks, and become idea machines.

Each chapter of the book includes practical hacks, illustrative stories, and creative exercises. The practical exercises are what set this book apart. They are easy to follow but highly effective in shifting one's mindset. For example, the exercise of writing 10 new ideas every day was challenging at first, but it pushed me to think beyond my usual boundaries and tap into my creative potential.

One of the book's strengths is its accessibility. The author explains complex concepts in a straightforward manner, making the content easy to grasp and apply. The book also features stories about famous creative minds like Steve Jobs, Einstein, and da Vinci, which provide valuable insights into their thinking processes and how we can emulate their techniques.

While the book is highly informative, it does have a few minor drawbacks. It could benefit from a thorough editing to correct some typos and grammatical inconsistencies. However, these issues do not detract from the overall clarity and effectiveness of the content.

The final chapters of the book were my favorite, as they neatly summed up the key concepts and offered profound insights. Harrdas's passion for creativity shines through, and it's clear he genuinely wants to help readers unlock their creative potential. This book is not just for creative professionals but for anyone looking to think differently and tackle problems with fresh perspectives.

Overall, it is a valuable resource for anyone seeking to enhance their creativity. Whether you're a professional, student, or entrepreneur, this book provides actionable strategies to overcome creative blocks and generate innovative ideas. I highly recommend keeping this book handy, as you'll likely find yourself revisiting its chapters whenever you need an idea on demand.

"Ideas on Demand" by Miliind Harrdas is a beacon for those navigating the foggy seas of creative blockages. As someone who often felt their creative well run dry, I found this book to be nothing short of transformative.

Miliind Harrdas dismantles the myth that creativity is an enigmatic gift bestowed upon a lucky few. Instead, he presents creativity as an accessible skill, one that can be honed with intention and practice. His five-step program, grounded in the science of neuroplasticity, serves as a practical toolkit for anyone looking to tap into their creative reservoir.

What sets this book apart is its emphasis on actionable exercises. Miliind Harrdas doesn’t just philosophize about creativity; he invites readers to engage in hands-on activities that stretch the mind. The exercise of writing ten new ideas every day, for instance, pushed me beyond my habitual thought patterns and unearthed a wealth of innovative ideas.

Miliind Harrdas’s ability to distill complex neurological and psychological concepts into digestible insights is remarkable. He blends these insights with captivating anecdotes about creative icons like Leonardo da Vinci, Einstein, and Steve Jobs, providing a rich tapestry of examples that illustrate his points vividly.

However, the book’s impact isn't just in its practical advice and historical anecdotes. It’s in the palpable enthusiasm that Miliind Harrdas brings to the subject. His passion for unlocking human potential is infectious, making the book not only a guide but a motivational manifesto.

The final chapters are a crescendo of inspiration and clarity, neatly tying together the core principles and offering profound reflections. Miliind Harrdas's dedication to helping others discover their creative potential shines through, making "Ideas on Demand" both a practical manual and an inspirational companion.

This book is an essential read for anyone seeking to break free from the shackles of conventional thinking. For me, it has been a catalyst for change, enhancing my approach to problem-solving and idea generation. Keep it within arm’s reach—you’ll find yourself returning to its pages whenever you need an 'idea on demand.'

"Give me the lever long enough and a place to stand, and I can move the earth." - Archimedes

As someone who works in a creative field, I often felt the pressure to come up with fresh ideas on demand. This book completely changed how I approach creativity. Before reading it, I believed creative people were just born different. But the author showed me that creativity is a skill I can develop through practice.

The author's own journey inspired me the most. He went from being a sales person with no marketing experience to becoming a successful marketer by deliberately learning creativity. His story gave me hope that I too could transform myself.

The book taught me three powerful lessons. First, creative ideas come from connecting existing dots in unexpected ways, not from creating something from nothing. Second, I need to challenge my assumptions constantly by asking "what if" questions. Third, my subconscious mind is my secret weapon if I learn to work with it properly. The exercises on moving out of my comfort zone pushed me to try things that scared me, and that's where my breakthrough ideas started flowing.

It's filled with real exercises and techniques I could apply immediately.

I especially loved learning about how Airbnb was born from simply asking different questions about their problem. Instead of "how do we make more money," they asked "how can we use our extra space to make money?" This simple shift opened up a billion-dollar opportunity. It showed me that I need to think differently.

Anyone who feels stuck in their career or business should read this. If you're a marketer, entrepreneur, or professional who needs to stand out, this book is essential. Students and young professionals will benefit greatly from learning these creativity techniques early. Even if you think you're not creative, this book will prove you wrong and show you the path forward. Parents and teachers who want to keep their natural creativity alive will find valuable insights here.

The human mind wasn't made to stay stuck. It was built to spark.

Rating: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In Ideas on Demand, Miliind Harrdas shatters the myth that creativity is reserved for the elite. With the power of science, story, and structure, he presents a provoking guidebook to becoming an idea machine. This is not a self-help motivational book—it's a crash course in reprogramming your brain to think smarter, faster, and bolder.
Whether you're a marketer, startup entrepreneur, student, or simply someone looking to differentiate yourself, this book empowers you with methods to link unrelated dots, question assumptions, and break creative drought. Harrdas is adamant: creativity is not happenstance—it's a discipline.

Why This Non-Fiction Stands Out
• Supported by Neuroscience: Describes what goes on inside your brain in 'Aha' moments and how to teach your subconscious to work for you.
• Realistic, Not Sermon-y: The "10 Ideas a Day" practice, constrained creativity, and pushing against defaults are realistic and achievable.
• Common-Sense Examples: From Leonardo da Vinci to Steve Jobs, they're inspiring without seeming out of reach.
• Block Breakers: Helps you recognize and break through six major blocks to creativity such as fear, self-doubt, and comfort zones.
• Crystal-Clear Transformation Path: Transfers you from idea deficiency to surplus through actual exercises, not notions.
• Cross-domain Application: Universal across domains—marketing, entrepreneurship, innovation, education, and self-improvement.

Final Thoughts

We are often advised to think 'outside the box,' but how many of us actually can do it? In "Ideas on Demand: A Crash Course on Creativity," author shows that creativity is a crucial skill anyone can learn and unveils secrets to tapping into your untouched creative potential.

The main highlight of the book is the fail-proof, five-step program to help you generate ideas on demand. It will help you to form new neural connection and permanently transform the way of thinking.

Over a course of 21 days, I read a chapter daily and religiously followed the exercises given along with maintaining a journal which helped me overcome many creative blocks and offered fresh perspectives on problem-solving. However, thanks to this book, my ability to generate ideas has greatly expanded.

The exercises mentioned in the book are simple yet profound. Exercises such as writing 10 ideas daily, imagining multiple uses for a single brick, revealed my limited perspective when I tried solving it at first. A day to day toolkit for all who believe Creativity can be learned

This book is simple in making you simply CREATIVE. You can keep this book, always in mind, all the time while for day to day work or leisure. Try using some of the techniques or leanings. You will be amazed on yourself.
I had and an undue advantage while reading this book. The author, Miliind Harrdas has just coded what he practiced in the book. As I have been associated with him for over two decades, I have seen him many of these tools using, some times as subject and many a times as colleague. I was used as sounding board for many of these concepts. So for me reading this book was a revisiting journey.
Though there are plenty of quotes and research findings mentioned in this book, I can assure you , you will find the whole book lucid and at the level of your everyday's problem solving works.
People are in search of ideas, yet creativity is underrated. Like any muscles, it can be built. This book can serve you as gym instructor. Pay attention to the exercises. Six packs will be easily noticed by your coworkers.
Enrolling a co-worker will make your creativity gym even more productive.
My final opinion is that, it is not a good read. It is a GOOD EXERCISE menu along with the art and science behind it.

I really liked how he talked about famous people like Leonardo da Vinci and Steve Jobs — and how even they struggled sometimes.
