When a pair of magical skates helps me find my fated mates, the last thing I expect is to get rejected, betrayed, and framed for a crime I didn't commit.

I moved to Silver Springs to escape my past. Fell in love with the small supernatural town. Made friends with its quirky residents. Even got my dream job.

But just when life's finally looking up, disaster strikes. The cleaning company I work for falls under threat, and I'm framed for a crime I didn't commit.

Then, I find my fated mates:

A shifter hockey player who knows how to handle his stick.
A sweet journalist who shifts into a block of ice but is oh so hot.
And a mage detective who already broke my heart once.

This should be the happiest time in my life, but my mates reject me, one by one.

As the new life I built starts to crumble around me, can I work things out with my mates and catch whoever framed me? Or will I end up broken-hearted, alone, and behind bars? Because I may be the best magical maid in town, but my life is one mess no spells in the world can fix.

If you like sassy witches, wonky magic, panty-melting fated mates, and intriguing mysteries, you'll love this steamy, laugh-out-loud paranormal romantic comedy with all the feels!

Wynter is a standalone in the Silver Springs shared universe and comes complete with a happily-ever-after. Scroll up to read this fun, quirky romance today.

I love heavy books. I love books that make me cry. I love books that make me scream and shout. However, at the moment the world is a dark and depressing place. There's loads of hatred, there's loads of misinformation, there's a pandemic taking lives, we all can't see our friends that much. So, at the moment I also really need some lighter stuff, stuff that makes me smile, that makes me feel happy. The Silver Springs series has been one big comforting hug so far and I'm glad they're back!

And how! Mia Harlan starts the third season of this series perfectly. Not only are we reuniting with a lot of favorite characters from the previous books, we're also introduced to the ice rink and of course to the magical skates. And from there on this book follows Mia's well known and very successful formula. We have a girl, we have three mates and we have loads of tension to get the characters together and through a hard time,

This time the star of the story is Zoe. We already met Zoe in countless of previous books, but this time it's her chance to shine and she does so wonderfully. I think it's almost impossible not to fall a little bit in love with Zoe. And that's for starters because we get to see how much she really enjoys her job and how much love she has to give to the people who are willing to go for her. At time she judges without hearing the other first, but we all have our flaws and Zoe's insecurity and the fear that she will never be good enough is not only relatable, but also very well written.

And of course, a Silver Springs book wouldn't be a Silver Springs book without three amazing guys. In this case all three guys are really different and unique and I really loved all of them. I think that the one scene involving Ghost, you'll recognize it when you read it, might be my favorite intimate scene ever. And I really loved Leigh's panic when all he wanted was the girl, but didn't want to make her feel like a one-night stand. And then there was our ice block. I have to admit, I was quite sceptic about ice block shifters, but the mythology behind it was amazing and now I want to read more stories about shifters like this!

Is it next week already? I want the next book!

We're back in Silver Springs for season 3, Silver Skates. This time, the focus is on the newly opened ice rink in town

As ever, Julian's spells have gone awry and are prompting fated mates to come together. In this case, it's Zoe Wynter, who works from the Cleanly Den company.

We have hot mates, a mystery to solve, lots of cameos from previous books and those to come and more than a little magic!

I love this world and I'm so glad we're back here!

After reading Candela, I decided I needed to see more of this town. This one had some interesting supernaturals. I had a hard time finding the ‘ice block shifter’ and ‘eye makeup shifter’ plausible but the rest were really fun.

Some of the scenes that I think are intended to be humorous and some of the innuendos are a bit juvenile but cute—but others did make me smile. This read was an interesting experience; the characters are obviously adults but act and speak like children much of the time. The overall story is really sweet and I’m coming to love this world. It’s fun and seems to be full of characters who are open-minded, so it tends to be refreshing as well. There’s also a cute little mystery throughout.

Overall I’d rate this somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, with lots to love but also a but immature at times.

Note:
I listened to the audiobook; this narrator’s voice is adorable, her tones are appropriate and she makes it an easy listen. Great performance!

I absolutely loved this book and the start of season three! As much as I’ve enjoyed Mia’s other FMC’s, Wynter is probably my favorite of them all. This book had all of the feels- I laughed my ass off and even found myself tearing up a few times. I also liked the mystery, steamy moments, and sports within the story.
I enjoyed learning more about Zoe since we’ve always just seen her in passing or during a job. She was a very relatable character, but I think Xavi, her ice block shifter mate was the most relatable to me because of his anxiety. Xavi was also the most unique mate to learn about, especially his hometown Shifter Bay. Leith, a chameleon shifter, was my second favorite of her guys and Ghost, a ghost mage, was my least favorite, but his powers were definitely interesting.
Did Mia make me feel for Minerva? Actually root for her and want to see her get her own book? Hell yes. I was shocked, but Mia, please make this book happen! I loved seeing other residents from Silver Springs, past and future books, and they definitely added to the humor and heartfelt moments. I’m now impatiently waiting for Ember’s story and so many more!

Silver Skates felt like coming home and returning a beloved world with familiar faces.
If you have read the other book in this world, you know who Wynter is .
She been a familiar face for a while so Harlan had to do her justice and she did just that.
Wynter's back story was unexpected and explained a lot about her. It helped explain Wynter's character when she made her rash decisions and was forced to take things into her own hand.
It caused a lot of drama but it wouldn't been a SS book if didn't have any. As her guys were really the full package in different ways and made Wynter come to terms with her past and see what she really enjoyed.

This book came full circle in a lot of ways despite the start of a new season. It allowed us to reunite with a lot of characters who have helped made this world for what it is.
Harlan made me drop everything for this book . I had to give my full attention as this book threw a few surprises that only Silver Springs can bring. Whilst there is a sense of expectation of mates and that they will be variety and differences. Harlan brought something unique to the table that really made this book standout.

Zoelle aka Zoe (FMC) is the prime suspect when a series of thefts hit Silver Springs and has a habit of being in all the places she works at. She takes it upon herself to find out who the culprit is. Leading to her ending up with an unwanted flatmate Minerva and like previous books shes her usual catty self but at times shes actually funny. More complications come in magic skates, annoying Ex boyfriends - Ghost, a sweet reporter - Xavi and a flirty & funny hockey player - Leith. Plenty of steamy scenarios with them

Like all the books in the Silver Springs series or now the Silver Skates one its filled with likable characters, a bit steamy and loads of fun. Its a great read but i cant help wondering will Minerva get her own book?? Id read it if there was. Im looking forward to Ember's book now

This is quite possibly my favourite book by Mia Harlan. Both Amber and Violet were good books, but I've been eager to read Zoe's book from the first moment I met her and her book was absolutely fantastic!

Zoe is such a heart warming character. As I was reading her book, I got all the feels and had the need to take Zoe away from all the mean 'kids' so that her heart could heal once again. Her guys were interesting and had me laughing in several areas of the book. One thing is for sure though: I'm never going to look at a block of ice quite the same way!!!

This book is the start of the third season by the Silver Springs authors. Each season prior to the this book were great and I feel really excited to dive into these next books coming.

Silver Springs + Mia Harlan = Always an amazing book

I loved this book so much, I think Wynter is my favorite female character from Mia, so far.
We get to read about characters from the past two series and get to know a little bit about knew characters that we’re going to meet in this new series and I can’t wait to read all the books.
This book in particular is really funny and I love how is not predictable, there’s a few things that happen in this book that I wasn’t expecting. You’ll have to read it to know, but it’ll be worth your time.
It’s very easy to read and once you start, you can’t stop. I always finish Silver Springs books in less time than other books, for some reason, it’s like they’re spelled to make me read more in less time.

Loved this. Zoe is a very lovable FMC and her guys are too, especially Xavi her ice block shifter mate. I loved that he has a therapist. It makes him so relatable. I enjoyed the new world surrounding the ice rink and the magic skates. And tying it all up with previous characters from the Silver Springs universe was a great way to update on their progress in life and love. Definitely another winner from Mia Harlan.

This is the start of the 3rd arc for Silver Springs and let’s say Mia Harlan starts it with a kick! Zoe Wynter our favorite Cleanly Den Witch finally gets her own story! It was fantastic. Zoe looks to being set up and confronted with someone from her past. All of which makes her question her future. She has to face her fears and find the culprit in order to move forward. Will she be able to? Loved this, her interactions with her mates and the people around her, set the stage for an excellent story. I can’t wait to read more Silver Skates books.

This is the first book in a new Silver Springs season - Silver Skates. I have to say that if the upcoming stories are as entertaining as this one was, I'll be in a truly happy place ;) This story is full of quirky characters, or interesting characters with quirky traites/skills and the rediculousness of some things just had me trying to read faster to see how things were going to go ;) Zoe is a witch that uses her skills on the job, and on the ice ;) She meets 2 new fellas and yeah, sparks, but when you factor in her first love showing up, too, well, things really heat up. Too bad she figures they all don't feel that mate spark too...or did they? This is a fun read, full of mystery, second chances, visits with previous Silver Springs characters and sizzling chemistry. All great fun and now to wait on the next book!

This is my favourite book from Mia Harlan so far! I loved Zoe as a character and I LOVED all the cameos from the other Silver Springs characters. It really felt like we were in Silver Springs and interacting with the community. I really enjoyed the guys as characters too. They were so unique. As always, the humour made me giggle and wonder how the heck Mia comes up with that stuff 🤣
I highly recommend this one and can't wait to read the other books in this series.

I loved this book from the start. This story is exactly why I love the Silver Springs books, full of humour, hot mates, quirky residents and a great storyline to keep you reading.

This is book 1 in the 3rd season of the Silver Springs shared world but is a standalone.
Zoelle Wynter is loving her life in SS, she enjoys her job and has some great friends, she's just missing a mate to share it with.

Zoe is a great character, she's friendly, helpful and great at her job. We get to find out more about her background and why she ended up in SS.

The storyline will keep you hooked and even a little mystery to solve too.

I love how the other characters drop into each others books, it really adds to the whole shared world and how the community might work.

There's never a dull day in Silver Springs! Loved this soooo much! What a way to kick off season 3! Wynter is the first book in the Silver Skates collection. I am so excited to read this new collection. If you are new to Silver Springs, no worries...this can be read as a standalone. (Although, I would highly recommend to read previous seasons to enjoy it's awesomeness of this fun little town)

I received an ARC and voluntarily gave my honest opinion and review

Not your normal paranormal

Wynter might be lonely but lonely is better than heartbroken. Been there. Zero stars, do not recommend. She's happily working for a cleaning service. She gets to use her powers. The town accepts all supernaturals. Life is good. Until a thief starts framing her for their crimes. Now her job is in jeopardy. And worse, her boss hires her ex to investigate. Add in the crazy mate spell that tags a hockey player who can't control his shifting and an ice shifter with anxiety, as well as the air mage that just breezed back into her life, and things just cranked up to 11.

Spoilers ahead.
Ok, so I've heard of the original series that started this all, The Jewels Cafe collaberation series. Each book is written by a different author, all set in the same town. Apparently it has continued into 2 more series, one involving a library and this one that's starting off. Do not expect normal shifters, normal witch/mage abilities, in fact, just toss all previous ideas and enjoy the absolute craziness for what it is- a fictional escape. It really wasn't my thing, a little too over the top for me, but I will admit to giggling every time Xavi's anxiety had him freezing up. Literally. I was frustrated by Wynter's habit of running away and assuming instead of communicating. The number 1 way any relationship works is talking- especially with multiple partners. Leith has 2 modes- horny and hockey. Ghost broke her heart for what he later finds was no good reason, and handles seeing her again in an even worse manner. If you enjoy romcoms you'll enjoy these series. I enjoyed the background characters more than the main, but that's me. I did finish it, I did laugh, I did pick it as a break from my usual- it most definitely was lol, and there were very few errors.
*Why did Xavi want a job back with a boss that wanted him to lie for a headline and paid him peanuts?
*Why did the thief not ask for help?
*Who puts their ex, who they're still in love with and hopes to date again, in a giant bubble without air?
*Can Leith move beyond the previously mentioned 2 modes?
*If I accept the Bayan shifters, why a block of ice? If he was associating his shift with happiness, and his was lake ice, why not a chunk of ice instead of a 7' cube?
*Is the fluffy the last of her kind? And why would someone breed a food source so small, with so much natural weaponry and aggression?
And this is why I don't watch romcoms lol. I pick.

The craziness is back again. First it was pumpkin spiced lattes, then a library book and now spelled skates. I liked Zoe from her first intro, so I'm happy she gets her own book. Three mates, a guy that turns into an ice block, an ex that controls wind and a chameleon shifter almost as bad as Amber when sexually frustrated. Nicely balanced and not too over the top. I liked the redemption for Mini, although she does need a mate or more. Favourite part other than the ice block chaos was the hotel room triple m.

I won't lie. At first, I couldn't grasp the story. I had to start over three times. I think this was my fault really. I was kind of tired when I intended to start the book originally. Once I got into the book, I was so happy with it! It was hilarious and insanely crazy. In a good way of course. There were a few things in the book that wasn't really my thing, but that's just me personally. I also thought that Wynter could be a little too..... much about certain things. Maybe dramatic. I'm not sure how to explain it. Either way, I really enjoyed the read!

Wynter by Mia Harlan is a quirky witch romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Aria Holland. This is the first book in the Silver Skates series and can be read as a standalone.

I thought the book was a cute and quirky romance. I enjoyed getting Zoe, Xavi, Ghost, and Leith's point of view throughout the book.

Mia did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

Couldn’t stop laughing

Loved this book so much. It was a little sad towards the beginning parts, but still had some humor because it’s a quirky town. I absolutely loved the chameleon shifters and Xavi the ice block! Could not stop laughing, especially during the library scene.

Honestly for the length it went quicker than I expected. Very light easy read.

Edit: upon reflection there are a lot of plot holes, inconsistencies, and lose ends.

Wyntastic!!!!!!

This book was epic. I’m so glad Wynter finally got her harem and her Ghost. This made me cry and laugh so hard. This was the best book to date from you Mia. I loved that we got to learn even more about Mini as well. I knew she couldn’t be all bad. I hope she gets her harem at some point as well.

Cute

This was a cute read. It was quick, you don't get really deep into the characters, but you like them. Each book seems to be a stand alone but will have all overlapping characters. 2/5 steam factor. Only a couple of steamy scenes, what we got was decently hot, but wasn't a lot for an RH
