Yummy yummy who doesn't love age gap!!! We met these charas in the last book. And it's very push/pull between them for a reason.
River is taken at a photoshoot by Yuri she met awhile ago since shes best friends with his daughter now shes his.. and not in that way at first shes a pawn in a game he's playing with a rival who wants a pure virgin.. now the games are being played the sexual tension and buttons are pressed between River and Yuri. Hes falling for her and he knows he's not suppose to if he wants what was taken from him.. but those feelings are getting stronger. But that drama comes from many twist..
Om drama, No cheating, slight secondary character, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

ok so i kinda liked this book and that’s very surprising considering how i was dissing the other books of the series.. i’ma give it 3 stars just because nirvana was mentioned and lord knows i fucking love that band.
but the dialogues between fmc and mmc were repetitive and ain’t nobody got time for that. every chance of conversation they get it’s always about how he kidnapped her, selling her off (not that he was actually going to) and they always arguing lmao.
i like yuri but his ugly ass nicknames are horrendous cause no way he is calling her kitten and then he got the audacity to call her baby girl?? my ass thought of that one mf from 365 days and i HATED that fucking movie, i even heard the man’s voice.. 😞
and i ain’t gonna lie because i DID skim halfway through the book which made me not remember else shit and something told me to DNF but over here i don’t do those, my mama ain’t raise no punk.
i did like river from time to time too, she be slapping the hell out of yuri and that shit had me cracking up.
soon enough i will be free, one book to finish and i can kiss this fuck ass series goodbye❤️

Great addition to the series! This was an entertaining read that kept my attention all the way through to the satisfying ending. From the moment the Bratva King Yuri Volkov saw River Finn he instantly finds himself drawn to her even though she is young enough to be his daughter (Yuri is Belle’s dad we met in Bratva's Claim #4 and who happens to be River's best friend too). But River has the power to help Yuri gets his ultimate revenge. He needs to use her as a pawn, as a leverage against one of his Bratva enemies. The plot was fast paced with good dynamics between the characters and full of steamy encounters. 🔥

Wow...what a smoothly written, fast paced whirlwind of a story! Only negative thing I have to say is it went too fast. I wish it had been a little longer. River is one of the world's top models and has been since she is 15 years old. She is mostly a private person and lies low. Her best friend Belle has recently reconnected with her biological father Yuri who River met at a dinner party. She also discovered that Belle's father is somehow related to the Russian mafia but doesn't know anything more.
Yuri is not only in the mafia but IS the mafia. He is beyond wealthy, ruthless and super hot. When one of his competitors starts to get out of hand, Yuri knows he has to do something to put him in his place. He heard that this guy has made it his mission to get one of the world's top models into his bed. Whether she likes it or not. He is obsessed with her and will stop at nothing to get her. Yuri knows that he has to get to her first so he can use her as leverage over his old enemy.
When River arrives for a photoshoot on a yacht, chaos breaks out. She is taken and when the bag is taken off her head, she is relieved to see her best friend's father. Yuri is beyond shocked to see his daughter's best friend. He had no clue the model that he was kidnapping right out of his enemy's hands as leverage was beautiful River. The dinner he had met her at previously had him quite tempted by her beauty and now here she was.
Needless to say things turn quickly. There are some hot sexy scenes, fighting, angst and all that comes along in a Bratva scenario. It was fast paced and a page turner. It was over too quickly! Definitely a must read!

I reread the entire book at a friend's request and found the story to be a bit better than I originally thought, not great, but not bad. Belle is the long lost daughter of Yuri who finally meets him in her story. River is her best friend who is an actress who he meets through Belle. There is allot of misinformation that leads Yuri to believe that River is his ticket to finding out who is trying to topple his organization. She initially becomes a pawn and is used as leverage to determine who his enemies are.
This story could have gone so many ways with Yuri actually being somewhat of a stand up guy instead of a testosterone driven man who wants to f......k a very young girl who he hopes to use as leverage against his enemy. Unfortunately, this kind of storyline line is "rinse and repeat", but did have some interesting interactions and events that evolved as I read further into this story. It lacked a substantial backstory for either character which made the big age gap/ storyline difficult to reconcile. Having read Belle and Nikolai's story recently, helped put into perspective some of the elements that were lacking during the first attempt to read this book. It's always smart to read these series in order which I didn't do with this book which is my bad.
Much of the first portion of this book was focused on Yuri's lust filled attraction to River and not the actual story as to why he went this path instead of going after his enemy in other ways; after all he was the leader of the entire Bratva, not just a family in the Bratva. Saving her from his enemy was noteworthy, but went the same path as many of these novels whereas the focus is about Yuri's need to break her and bend her into a submissive/sex toy. Many readers love seeing the MFH turned into a toy for the MMC, where I prefer a different approach to a couple's sexual proclivities.
Having read many well written Bratva novels I require something more than just a book filled with owning a person, breaking them and turning them into your personal sex slave and calling it "romantic" or a love story.

He was so passionate and controlling with her and she really wanted it ,kind of needed it from him. I loved the fight between River and Yuri, River was a sassy opponent for Yuri to go against, she was strong and resilient and gave him a thing or two to think about
She was just a pawn, caught to bargain with.
Yuri steamed things up a bit and that definitely had me panting and quickly turning the pages for more.seamy action. But he just needed something to hold up a mafia war and River was good leverage.
In hind-sight this was an excellent thriller, with intense action, suspense and hot romance. A GREAT storyline, I loved it, and I can’t wait for more in this excellent series!

The best friend and the father, what could go wrong? River, a famous model, was on a shoot in the middle of the ocean when they were ambushed and she was about to be kidnapped but another faction intervened. Then she was kidnapped by this newest faction but to her relief she knows the man that has possession of her now, or at least she is familiar with him. Yuri will do anything and everything to make his rival’s life difficult, even taking a young woman that his rival desires. Yuri gets more than he expected when he takes River but in a good way. Will he let his walls down enough to give River a chance? Will River even want to be with someone that essentially kidnapped her?

I just loved Yuri and River’s story and the attraction and connection between these two is intense. A fantastic read, that kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. Highly recommend.

If I rated this book by how much River blushes over everything, it would be 5 stars. But alas, that's not how I rate things. Honestly, you could say that I did rate this over the blushing but to the opposite effect. First of all, there's a 25 year age gap. And this is literally a book about a super hot, 20 year old, virgin super model getting kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and human trafficked.
All that, and I still fucking despised River. I have never hated a more spineless, simpering idiot more. But wait, apparently River isn't an idiot. She just got tired of correcting people so she lets the world think she's a dumb model. And Yuri was gross. I don't care if I'm in the minority there. He has insta-lust (River did too) but still thinks about basically selling her off to his fat, greasy rival in exchange for half that dude's mafia business. Whatever. These two terrible characters deserved each other. And I swear to god, this book is the perfect example of a woman written by a man.
I liked another book written by Jagger Cole, at least I think I did. This book however is making me question whether I truly did or not.
All that, and I still fucking despised River. I have never hated a more spineless, simpering idiot more. But wait, apparently River isn't an idiot. She just got tired of correcting people so she lets the world think she's a dumb model. And Yuri was gross. I don't care if I'm in the minority there. He has insta-lust (River did too) but still thinks about basically selling her off to his fat, greasy rival in exchange for half that dude's mafia business. Whatever. These two terrible characters deserved each other. And I swear to god, this book is the perfect example of a woman written by a man.
I liked another book written by Jagger Cole, at least I think I did. This book however is making me question whether I truly did or not.

She whimpers, giggles, and rakes/bites lip - also is pure no consequences without BC
The one thing that made me roll my eyes is how smart Yuri is but how ultimately dumb. The end became stupidly predictable.

I’m bored of reading about guys who kidnap girls and suddenly they feel “hot” and can’t resist them. It’s so unrealistic, it doesn’t matter how sexy they’re. I didn’t hate this book but it’s just that. The same story.

I really liked the other books in this series, but i DNF @ 15% , and by that time the fmc had blushed 5 times and mmc growled 7. Also the fmc is an absolute airhead, the mmc is almost worse. What happenedddddddd 😭😭😭😭😭
