The advanced edition doesn't really feel like a more "advanced" edition, more like a 30% revision from the "beginner" edition and 70% new content that is new, but not more challenging in nature.
The "beginner" and "advanced" edition should have been combined into one longer book, since the books are rather short and there is a decent amount of repetition.
The book is currently a 3 stars (liked it), but this edition will become outdated very soon.
I find DeFi fascinating, but this book was a rather boring read. There’s some repetition when compared to the Beginner version. It’s more a list of current actors in the DeFi field than an in-depth book explaining DeFi. The book stays mostly on surface level. If you should read it, depends on your preferences: if you look for a overview of the DeFi space with a brief summary of the most “important” players, go for it.
First off, the quality of the print looks pretty terrible, like a Word Document. The first chapters of the book are okay, as they explain some core concepts in DeFi such as automated market makers. The rest of the book, is mostly a collection of available services for different DeFi use cases, which reads like an encyclopedia, rather than a book where you learn more about the concepts.
This book expands in detail on the concepts that are explained in the beginner version of this book. The authors use plain language to illustrate the concepts in concise detail without the excessive technical steps.
After all, it is a guide on how one can expand their experience in decentralised finance. It is up to one to be creative in how to make their own way to survive and, hopefully, win.
Amazing book with real life examples and metrics from decentralized finance (DeFi), and not just abstract theory. Just make sure you are reading the latest edition because DeFi is constantly evolving and the content can easily become outdated.
Топовая книга по децентрализованным финансам. Более сложные концепции, чем в прошлой. Да и рынок сильно развился. Опционы, агрегаторы, флеш-займы. Книга устареет быстро, но сейчас читать интересно
Comprehensive guide to dive into DeFi diversity, overall structure and some forecasts. Though, maybe already outdated on various numbers and services ranks.
Straightforward, precise and well-covered. The book covers mostly ETH, the main dominant chain for DeFi, would like an updated review with competing chains.
