What a cliff hanger!

I am really digging this series! Joely and her men are walking a tightrope. Van and His twin, Tobias, are on the run. The anti-dire wolf sentiment that is being fanned on campus makes things too dangerous for them to stay. Joely, Marco and Angus remain as no one else knows the truth about Marco and Angus . . .yet. More backstory about the prophecy comes to light and we find out a bit more about each of the men. This book ends on quite the cliffhanger, but at least it’s a completed series, so I’m not left hanging, waiting for the final installment.

I am really hooked on this storyline. Like the other books, some plot twists you see coming, and some you just don’t. And I love being pleasantly surprised that way. This is a fairly quick read, just like the other books in the series, but you won’t be disappointed. If you like a lighthearted, sweet romance with a bit of intrigue, you’ll like this series.

Just when they think it is over, new leaders step up and repeat the same bad things. That is not going to stand if our heroine has anything to say about it.

This is book five of the series. The book does pretty well as a stand alone, but it might work better if you start at the beginning.

This is a reverse harem romance story set at a magical academy. I thought I was getting rather jaded to these stories, but then this one came along and really surprised me. We still get a lot of the usual academy stuff, but the setting and story are a little grittier, which gives it a bit of an edge. The characters are also well done and diverse, rounding out the story nicely. There are some steamy scenes as well which provide a nice diversion. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next book.

Man! Joely and her men just can't catch a break! Just when you think Joely can finally get her HEA with her men, someone has to come in and mess everything up for them! I really enjoyed the suspense, love, devotion, mystery, the twits and turns that this book took and then Ms. Fiona about killed me with that ending! I can't wait for the final book in this series and I hope we more series or standalones like this!! I would recommend this book, this series, and Ms. Fiona as an awesome author.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.

Broken Spells is book five and a great addition to the Society of Ancient Magic series. Just when you think things are going to calm down for Joely and her guys something happens that separates the group. The writing is good and this page turning story is filled with mystery, magic, danger, suspense, drama, unexpected twists and after that ending I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. Just as Joely and the guys defeat one enemy another rises up. Now they must prove innocence in one crime while trying to prevent the destruction of lesser mages who do not have Ancient Magic. It's a continuous roller coaster and the drama and emotions run high. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.

Here Joley thought things would calm down and her and her men would get to relax and enjoy. But of course things go sideways and the crew must split up. Danger, some suspense, unknowns, and twits as everyone tries to survive and figure out what is going on. Hard to put down and easy to get sucked in and read to the end to see what is really going on.

Family is complicated. Sibling rivalry is strong with Joely and all her family (blood and stolen/adopted). When her biological brother takes over for her biological father, war is declared.
