A good guide for beginners with many step by step projects. I found some of the instructions could be slightly hard to follow, but I believe that may have had something to do with the translation. (Original book was not in English). However, in the beginning of the book there is a list of links where you can watch the author work on the techniques via YouTube which is wonderful for visual learners. Even though I am not a beginning artist, I found the book interesting with some great ideas.

Abstract Painting... good visuals and introduction to techniques for those starting out with acrylic paints. Descriptive tools and simple techniques, but lacks the depth and project process to provide a full understanding of abstract painting methods. All pictures were flat to the painting, so reader can't see what angle spatulas and brushes are used at to create different appearances.
