OMFG!!!!!!!!
Talk about a full speed roller coast ride. One minute Callie and Donnie are fully in love with no problems and then bam not one punch but two. One to Donnie and dale then one to Callie then another to Donnie. I can’t wait for February to come to finish Callie and Donnie’s story. I know things will work out but it’s one hell of a ride and I know it isn’t going to be fast. Shit will hit the fan and it will not be swift. It will threaten to destroy the both families but I know they will both be ok and will learn from this much as talon and jade had to fix their problems.

Book 20, WHAT?!? Flame, the continued story of Donny Steel and Callie Pike and I am here for it! I love them and they are a top couple for me in this addictive series. Seriously the Steels will live on forever and ever and Helen Hardt sure has captured and ruthlessly held on to our hearts for so many ups and downs and everything in between. The mystery continues, the questions, the lies, the secrets, and betrayals, but above all the love that burns like a flame inside Donny and Callie cannot be contained.
"This is what we are Donny. You and I. We're passion. We're desire. We're those people who can't keep their hands off each other, and I never want that to change"
Donny and Callie are putting their minds and lawyer instincts together to try and figure out why Talon Steel was shot on his own property and who is behind all the mysterious bad things going on in Snow Creek. Donny is on the verge of breaking his work ethics and his brother Dale is behind him 100% if it means figuring out the secrets that are behind the family that took them in and loved them since they were kids, when they had no one else. All this is nearly making Donny go insane with frustration and he just wants the chance to love and be loved by Callie without this huge cloud hanging over their heads. He knows he needs answers but at what cost? Will anyone else be hurt? How many more secrets will they find and will they forever change how he feels about his family? Is it only his families secrets that he needs to worry about? With all these questions and not enough answers Donny and Dale seek out their Uncle Joe to figure out why he thinks he was the true target of that bullet his brother took and what else he knows and how it can help. Their cousin Brock also agrees to help and he is entrusted with Donny and Dales secret past in order to paint a clear picture as to what he can expect to find out along the way. Together they will seemingly stop at nothing until they have answers. And even with all this Donny has something else to worry about; is the woman he loves hiding something and why doesn't she trust him like he trusts her?

Callie wants very much to focus on the man she loves and not have to worry about her secrets and haunting past coming out to blow up in her and her families face. The Pikes have enough to worry about with the terrible forest fire that destroyed their vines and Callie and her sister Rory never want their parents and brother to find out what they have been hiding since high school. Their secret has not been revealed although we are giving (slowly) breadcrumbs along the way until the very end of the book. We still don't know what caused them to gain the wrath of Pat Lamone and how and why Donny Steel has been involved by someone who seems to be trying to weave the Steels and Pikes secrets together. Every time Calle and Rory think they have what they are looking for, they don't, and Donny seems to also be a target but non the wiser as to why. Someone wants to play a dangerous cat and mouse game and Donny and Callie's relationship seems to be the pawn. Callie wants to trust Donny with her secrets but her fear of loosing him gets in the way. If she can't confide in Donny when her world is falling apart, how can their love ever be true?

Even with all the secrets and danger Donny and Callie are never far apart. They crave to be close and they so desperately want to be together and happily oblivious to the worlds evil. Their love was quick and hot like a flame and they seem to have a true connection. I love them together and want nothing more than to see them come together and become a force that can kick some butt.
"It's everything and nothing all at once, all wrapped into our bodies joined as one."
Donny is so sweet and caring and he shows that every step of the way with Callie. Callie is determined to be strong even though her weakness seems to be Donny and her pride is sometimes bigger than the petite woman it thrives in. I am kind of mad it took Callie this long to confide in Donny and now that she wants to things always get in the way. Donny is having doubts now and he's letting those rule his decisions. So many complications and not enough time to get all the answers.
"I love every part of you. Every single part, and not just because you're the most beautiful woman I know. Because you're you. Because you're Callie Pike."
I want so badly for this next book to surprise the heck out of me with major reveals and an amazing conclusion for Donny and Callie. I want to know what Uncle Joe will do and how much of his families secrets he'll reveal. I want Talon to be okay and I want more Steels to come together to fight for their families much do happiness as well as the Pikes. Helen has got us on the edge of our seats as usual and I will be anxiously waiting for Blaze.

Helen continues to amaze me with her ability to maintain such a strong hold on my soul throughout this continued series. With each set of characters also comes new mysteries and lies unfolding, and hesitancy towards a new found love and relationship.

Callie continued to struggle with her past secrets, while trying to move forward in her new life with Donny. Her fear of Donovan leaving once her truth comes out, continues to take residence in her mind.

Donny also continues to research his own mystery of who shot his father, who was in his house, and what was under Murphy’s. Uncovering secrets set in place by his unsavory grandfather, will keep you hooked and waiting for the pieces to snap into place.

Good book, although I thought being the second part the the story line it would finish, but it is to be continued and the next book is not available. There is a lot happening and it easy to follow, would have been good to possibly solve one and not leave everything unsolved, maybe!

When I heard Helen was continuing Steel Bros, I was worried it would get boring or not leave me constantly wanting more. I'm happy to say even at book 20, I'm still Craving more! Bravo, Helen!

Flame
Book 20 in the series finds us following Donny and Callie’s portion of the story and how it intertwined with the overall arcing storyline. Donny and Callie’s love story is just as explosive and hot as any of the couples that have been written before them in this saga as it is something Helen Hardt does extremely well - write about love! But the biggest portion of this incredible book is the mystery! The mystery of Snow Creek and what exactly is going on in this town. How, just when you think one generation has taken care of things and everything is running smoothly, then — BOOM — long buried secrets, flashbacks, safety deposit boxes, and people long since run out of town, show back up to reek havoc on the lives of the residents in Snow Creek!! I love the way these books are written, giving you just enough details to make you think you know what’s going on, when really- just when you think you have everything figured out - you don’t! Or you do, but not all of it! The mystery keeps playing out throughout the series, but the love story?, that gets nurtured throughout each book.
Donny struggles with himself and his ethics in this book. Which leads him to feel like he’s just not good enough for Callie. Even though he loves her, he feels like he should break up with her. Not involve her any deeper in his family’s drama. After an exceptionally emotional night with Callie, he leaves for home professing his love, but in his mind trying to figure out how to break things off.
Callie is in love with Donny, but she is hiding a lot of things from him that happened in her past that may or may not have bearing on current events. We’ll have to wait and see how the storyline plays out, but I love that her sister Rory is involved in this part too. It shows the depth of her family and brings the other characters of this crazy family to light!
Oh I can’t wait to see where all of this goes and what happens to our beloved characters along the way! I forgot to mention, in this book Talon has been shot and is in the hospital! If you remember, Talon was the very first hero of this saga many, many moons ago! So we need him to be ok too in all this, and make sure our original heroes are not harmed in the making of the rest of this series - LOL! But no, seriously! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

FLAME is book #20 in the amazing Steel Brothers Saga and I have yet to read one that hasn't shocked, surprised, or had me in awe of the incredible writing of Helen Hardt. FLAME is also book #2 in Donny Steel and Callie Pike's trilogy. Even though more mysteries arise, this book focuses more on Donny and Callie's relationship. Neither of them can deny the love they have for each other, yet both are keeping secrets from the other. will the secrets become too much and force this couple, who are perfect together, apart?
Donny and Callie are both battling pasts that have resurfaced that will affect themselves and their families. Donny is determined to find out who shot his father, Talon, and why, as well as solving the mystery of the liens that the Steel family appear to hold on properties around the town. A figure from Callie's past returns and seems determined to ruin both her and her sister Rory future. Donny shares his secrets, yet Callie does not, will the pressure of her past be too much for her to bear?
I loved how the relationship between Donny and Callie blossomed and grew. It wasn't a slow-paced growth, but one that acted like a cyclone and moved at a rapid brisk rate. He constantly took her out of her comfort zone, yet she also had him pushing himself in ways he never had before. Let's just talk about those steamy, steamy scenes ... oh my, a cold fan, shower, anything, is needed after reading those, especially 'The Denver Scene' as I have come to call it. HAWT!!!!!
Yet again, Helen Hardt has written another addictive, intriguing, suspenseful, and steaming hot installment to this jaw dropping series. Donny reminded me so much of the hot-tempered Dale we originally met, and I loved seeing that side of him. Callie is his calming influence, yet inside she is a stressor, a worrier, I really loved her and the love she had for her sister. I am dying to find out just what in her past she is hiding.
I cannot wait for Blaze, the next installment, to find out the answers to all my remaining questions. Just what is Callie hiding, and how many more secrets from the Steel family's past/history will be divulged?

Helen, what are you doing to us? I can't wait to get to the next book. You got me addicted. Donny and Callies's plot seems to be escalating like one minute I was thinking of that certain issue and then wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, another blinding point! I love the ingenuity and whack of this one.

Flame is book 20 of the steel Brothers Saga, it's also book number 2 of Donovan Steel and Callie pikes story.
Donny and Callie have had a whirlwind lightning-fast head over heels in love romance. It's been fiery, hot, a "I can't control myself with you" kind of passionate chemistry. It's new exciting and animalisticly hot!
They fit perfectly together. They're both in everything for their families. Their family means everything to them so with all the mystery and all of the past surfacing to take their families down. Donny with the mystery of his family's holding liens on Murphy's bar and the Mystery of who shot Talon Steel is so fresh makes him lose control. He will do anything to save his family and protect the people he loves Callie included. Callie and her sister Rory have their past coming back to try to ruin them. The stress and the anxiety is taking its toll. They're looking over their shoulders, worried that life as they know it is going to come Crashing Down. They work together and try to make sure the past is still buried, however when they find out it has been Unearthed their panic takes a whole new form.
Both Donny and Callie try to reach out to each other. Donny finally brings her in because he can't keep her in the dark any longer. She's truly and completely by his side and it helps relieve his stress, she's truly his Rock. However Callie is still reluctant to tell Donnie about her past, she tries on many occasions and keeps getting interrupted.
If it's not one thing it's another and finally when the time seems right once again fate steps in, comes in between the two of them and makes it completely impossible. Fate rears its ugly head and complications unfold and something keeps tugging at the bond of love holding them together. They love each other with every ounce of theylir being, truly and immensely. More than anything and they will protect each other even if it means one of them having to break the others heart and their own in the process just to keep them safe and untouched by the past trying to destroy their present and future.

Donny and Callie have had a whirlwind lightning-fast head over heels in love romance. It's been fiery, hot, a "I can't control myself with you" kind of passionate chemistry. It's new exciting and animalisticly hot!
They fit perfectly together. They're both in everything for their families. Their family means everything to them so with all the mystery and all of the past surfacing to take their families down. Donny with the mystery of his family's holding liens on Murphy's bar and the Mystery of who shot Talon Steel is so fresh makes him lose control. He will do anything to save his family and protect the people he loves Callie included. Callie and her sister Rory have their past coming back to try to ruin them. The stress and the anxiety is taking its toll. They're looking over their shoulders, worried that life as they know it is going to come Crashing Down. They work together and try to make sure the past is still buried, however when they find out it has been Unearthed their panic takes a whole new form.
Both Donny and Callie try to reach out to each other. Donny finally brings her in because he can't keep her in the dark any longer. She's truly and completely by his side and it helps relieve his stress, she's truly his Rock. However Callie is still reluctant to tell Donnie about her past, she tries on many occasions and keeps getting interrupted.
If it's not one thing it's another and finally when the time seems right once again fate steps in, comes in between the two of them and makes it completely impossible. Fate rears its ugly head and complications unfold and something keeps tugging at the bond of love holding them together. They love each other with every ounce of theylir being, truly and immensely. More than anything and they will protect each other even if it means one of them having to break the others heart and their own in the process just to keep them safe and untouched by the past trying to destroy their present and future.

Well done Helen Hardt! I’m still stuck on this family and wanting to find out how it will all end.

As Donny tries to find out who shot his dad Talon Steel, and starts he to uncover even more secrets the Steel family has while also navigating his love and this burning Flame (haha pun intended) he has for Callie. As we’ve learned in Spark, she also has some skeletons in her closet. Will she trust in her love for Donny to let him in and tell him?
If you’ve gotten this far in the series and have fallen in love with the characters, this family, the trials and tribulations they’ve endured, then Flame will continue to take you on the Steel journey. I was given this book in return for an honest review and since I’ve read and own the complete series, I 100% recommend this book and give the highest rating! 5 star read

What can I say Helen Hardt has done it again. Donny and Callie are smoldering. Their fast love for one another is what everyone wants. Secrets that they think can tear them apart can only bring them closer together. Donny Steel never realized that he was a family was full of secrets. Callie Pike was just a girl trying to get by in the world. Who knew that their world would one day intertwine. I’m left wanting more. I can’t wait for the next Steel book.

Flame by Helen Hardt is book 20 in the Steel Brothers Saga. This continues the story of Caroline Pike 'Callie' and Donovan Steel 'Donny' which started in 'Spark'. This isn't a standalone book. Donny and Callie story has been page turning with mystery and so steamy scene. Ms. Hardt writing is so wonderful that she just keeps you wanting more from this Steel Brother Saga. I highly recommend this book and series.

This story is book 20 in the Steel Brothers. It continues the story of Callie and Donny. I think that this story is my top one of the kids. They just have a bond that is so real. It's a whirlwind of a love that they have.

Another great story in the Steel Brother’s Saga! It always kills me at the end when it’s another cliff hanger, but that’s how you know the next one is worth the wait!

Every time I read one of Helen Hardt's Steel brothers' books, I am intrigued by the diversity in her writing. She introduces yet another member of the Steel family, Donny, who just moved back home to the ranch after being gone for 10 years practicing law In Denver. He discovers some family secrets, and the plot thickens. If you have never read, Ms. Hardt. Start with Craving. She is a pleasant surprise in this genre. Her hot scenes are getting hotter! I can't wait for her next one due in February.

I seriously don’t know how this series just keeps getting better and better, the previous books were a wild ride but this new generation has been incredible, and OMG the characters I just love Donny and Callie, if in the previous book you thought they had great chemistry well that was just increased by a thousand.
And honestly saying too, I never wanted the sexy parts to be over but in this case I did want them over not because they weren’t good, they were freaking hot, but because I wanted to know what was going to happen lol.
I swear Helen will never disappoint her readers, she is MAGNIFICENT and she once again proves why she’s THE CLIFFHANGER QUEEN because that ending has my thoughts all scrambled.
