Lachlan Devereaux had exactly two hundred and eighteen days remaining to hit the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. With a new product line ready to launch and her steering the marketing team, she was certain this was the success she needed to receive the venerated recognition. What she hadn’t expected is what happened in Vegas not to stay in Vegas. Enter Beckett Murray—stage left.
Beckett Murray just wanted to be taken seriously for once. His bad-boy days were behind him, and he wanted everyone—including the Olympic swimming team—to realize he had grown up and wasn’t still that punk kid anymore. He bought an organic beverage company to prove to everyone he was solid, in pursuit of adult goals, and not the partying playboy they all thought he was. Until he came face to face with his Las Vegas one-night stand. He couldn’t afford a scandal right now—but he hadn’t stopped thinking about that amazing night five months ago.
When old friends become adversaries, and the company’s success is put in jeopardy, their thirst for each other could just be their recipe for success.
Most of these are always written in third person, as if the author isn't the one actually writing them. So, I'm going to be a rule-breaker and write it in first person instead. I'm a native Chicagoan, vegetarian, and lover of big words. I randomly burst out into song, and have been known to carry on entire conversations (with those worthy of the challenge) in song lyrics. The same can also be said for movie quotes. I'm quirky, sarcastic, I've been told at times I can be a bit esoteric, but overall I'd rather be dancing in the rain than waiting for the storm to pass.
And I LOVE connecting with people- so go on, hit the "friend" button. :)
This love story had me in tears from what Lane and Beckett went through. They met previously in Vegas and had a one night stand. Months later he buys the company she works for. They keep a professional business attitude until they need to do promotional tours for their product. A "friend" who really wasn't Beckett's friend played dirty pool and almost ruined both Lane and Beckett. It was touch and go for a long time. Read what happened and have tissues handy. Beckett and Lane have great chemistry and I loved the story. It's not just their chemistry but the banter and the story is not only about their flirting, which was refreshing. It's a great story to help you relax and decompress.
This book stole my heart. It’s witty, charismatic, and offers a breath of fresh air. The story and character building was superb. I congratulate you, Willow, for sharing your gift. It’s inspirational.
Normally reviewing the book I just read is easy for me but for some reason I had trouble writing the Thirst Trap review although I do want to relay how much I enjoyed reading Thirst Trap by Willow Sanders. I definitely do have an opinion on the book ..... loved it and am excited to read the other books in the Men of the C-Suite series + what's there not to love about a series written by various authors'. Thirst Trap is an amazing book after all the book both started and ended by referencing "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas", if that even possible, especially with "Murphy and his stupid law". I really am not trying to give too much away with spoilers, the story had so many hilariously funny parts + sexy steamy parts, it's hard, so hard.....'that's what she said'. As Lane's friend, Sage, warns Lane a big, bad, hungry wolf has his eyes on you meaning with his insta-lust stare. Lane and Beckett's chemistry was immediate and intense, which led to a ONS that's so hot the pages were smoldering! One and done with a playful "guess fate can decide if we're supposed to run into one another again" after all "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" but what about "Murphy and his stupid law"! But months later 'it looked like fate decided' and Beckett was dying 'to see what heaven tasted like' to 'kiss her lips to see what heaven tasted like'! Will Beckett and Lane be able to work through when 'Murphy and his stupid law' intervene? Definitely recommend Thirst Trap! Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of this book, I also purchased the book/read with Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited opinion with my voluntary review.
Lachlan is in Las Vegas with her two best friends celebrating her 29th birthday, which means she has 365 days to make Forbes 30 under 30, as was her goal forever. She hooks up with a random man and has explosive sex, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. She never got his name beyond Murray.
Beckett Murray is in Las Vegas with his friends, the Olympic swim team, when he sees a woman across the room on her phone when her friends are trying to celebrate her birthday. He goes over to dance with her, they get real close and go back to his hotel room for hot sex. The go back to the club and she disappears in the crowd, they never go each other information.
Fate has a way of intervening, Beckett is trying to overcome his bad boy image, and he buys a beverage company, the one where she works. He has thought her often over the last five months but he is trying improve his image.
I really liked Beckett, partly because I was one of those kid that was always the one that was caught doing wrong, it hard to overcome one misstep. There is a part in this book when you just want to hug him. The chemistry between the two is there both in and out of the bedroom. Lachlan is force to be reckoned with and impresses Beckett with her business acumen, which just makes him want her more.
This is one of the 15 books Men of the C-Suite that are standalone with HEA.

Beckett and Lane had a steamy one-night-stand in Vegas and later meet at work. She works as the marketing director at the business that he just bought. He's a former Olympic swimmer who got disgraced when he got filmed drunk at the Olympics. She is professionally ambitious and wants to get into Forbes before she hits thirty. (She's 29 now.) They want to use Beckett's fame to market a new product while a swimmer buddy of his gives some competition and his reputation comes to bite them.
What I liked: I enjoyed the general style of writing and I liked that they focused on the work and not just flirting, even if they got the sexual compatibility question settled right from the get-go. I liked Beckett's fears and anxieties and the otter story.
What I didn't like: Beckett and Lane split two bottles of wine over dinner and drove home, and she doesn't even think there's anything wrong with it. She says it's within her tolerance so apparently she's done it before. But neither of them are fit to drive if each of them drank an entire bottle of wine over a few hours. Ugh. Public service announcement: Drunk drivers are not sexy. They are not appealing. They're not funny. They're disgusting and irresponsible. Call a damn Uber.
Lachlan has worked hard to get where she is in her career, wanting to achieve her next goal... being on Forbes 30 under 30 list, was within her grasp. Celebrating her twenty-ninth birthday, she was stalked by a wolf. Beckett was an Olympic Gold Swimmer, who star dimmed when his playboy antics caused him to look his position in the pool. A night in Vegas, a beautiful woman catches his eyes and temps his heat and passion.
Several months after that night, Lane is working hard on the campaign, when a new CEO takes over. That CEO is the wolf from the night that she can't forget. Thirsty Trap is a hot and steamy romance that will pull you in from the start. What started off as a night of heart, turns into a relationship of want and distain. As Lane helps Beckett through the company he bought, she is pulled into a rivalry that neither of them knew existed. The connection and tension between Lane and Beckett grew as the love and understand become their corner stone.
A amazing story from the fist line, it will grab onto you and keep you tight till the end.

He is a reformed bad boy and she has a hidden wild child ... let the fun begin!
So cannot like a book with the title Thirst Trap I ask you? Well sure not me as this was an excellent read. Thirst Trap by Willow Sanders is the first book in the multi-author Men of the C-Suite series. This novella is about Beckett Murray and Lachlan Devereaux. He is a reformed bad boy Olympic swimming star who still has some bad boy ways. Lachlan on the other hand has been a good girl who has been working towards a goal that is almost in sight, but she has a little wild child locked up way down inside. These two cross paths in Vegas and the bad boy and wild child have a very wild night together. But what happens in Vegas stays ins Vegas right.....oh so wrong. It all comes back when Beckett buys the company Lachlan works for and then the games and fun begin between these two.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Lane is a hard working almost 30 year old, who meets a sexy man on Vegas weekend. That man has no name and is the best sex she's had in a long time. A few months later she's working hard (as usual) and her boss introduces to the new owner of her company. It's none other then her one night stand from Vegas. Turns out he's Beckett, at famous Olympic swimmer, as so he's very arrogant and kind of irrating. Will she get a second ride? Or will this turn into a healthy personal life (something they both have been lacking)?
I love how she's more focused on her career, and almost fights how attractive she finds him. She is totally bad ass! Beckett is the perfect balance of vulnerable and alpha male!

This book is part of the Men of the C-Suite series and focuses on Beckett and Lachlan. Lachlan is a woman with big goals and is extremely focused on her career. While in Vegas she has a steamy one-night stand with a stranger. Little does she know that she will be running into said stranger before long. Beckett is a former Olympic swimmer who is trying to prove he's grown up from the reputation he had gained in his past. He ends up buying the company that Lachlan is the marketing director of. I liked that they were both focused on the success of the business and not just their attraction for each other. This was a great start to the series! Can't wait to see what else this series has to offer.

You could say he’s thirsty for a change in his life. When the sexy, cocky former Olympic swimmer, Beckett, realizes his newly purchased company also employs the woman he enjoyed one night with in Las Vegas, he becomes thirsty for something completely different. Curvy, sassy, and confident Lachlan has goals and refuses to let herself become another notch on his bedpost. But when the company is in trouble and they start working closely together, they feel the heat that is still there between them. Only now it’s something more…like love. Hot and steamy read!

Loved this book! A great start to a new series! Thirst Trap focuses on Beckett and Lane and their journey to HEA if they can get there. Beckett is a former Olympian so he has a lot of self confidence while Lane is very driven she has goals that she wants to achieve and that's what she's focused on. You really need to read their story and go on their journey with them it's definitely worth it. You get humor, drama, heat and more.I would definitely recommend this book. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Is there anything better than a strong competent female lead? I think not! Pair this smart driven female with a hot male lead looking for redemption and you have a fantastic, albeit unlikely, power couple that is so fun to read from the moment the first sparks of their romance fly. Willow does a great job of setting up the female lead as the competent driven expert. I was rooting for her from page one. There is such a satisfying balance of drama, character development, and romance. What a fun read!

Vegas Karma...is what happened to Lane and Beckett when they come face to face with each other 5 months after their very hot one night stand in Vegas. Now they have to work together and deal with the crazy lust they have for each other and the feelings that are growing. How will it play out? I liked this story very much and I recommend you read it. This story is part of a multi author series and can bee read as a standalone.

This is the story of Lane and Beckett, from their one night stand in Vegas to more. In the beginning I wasn’t sure if I liked the character of Beckett, he just seemed too shallow but he grew throughout the story and became the hero of the story. I just wished the villain of the story would have been taken down a peg or two.

This is the 3rd book I've read written by Willow Sanders; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is part of the Men of the C-Suite Series; it is a stand-alone book. She has written a good book. The story is about Lane & Beckett; they meet in Vegas and have a one-night stand, four months later her boss introduced her to the new owner of the company, Beckett.

The author tackles several issues in this workplace romance. The transitions between acts jolted more than they flowed. Especially the abrupt resolution, which felt very unsatisfying after how everything else had built. The beginning set a tone that did not sustain across the story. Lastly, both main characters lacked backstory or much character arc outside their interactions with each other.
Men of C-Suite series. A new author for me. It was a delightful read. Beckett and Lane met in Vegas. Later they meet against her job. The chemistry is still there. But now he needs to be taken seriously. He's more than a pretty face. She has an agenda for her life and he's not suppose to fit in it, but somehow he does. As they fall for each other the super drama and angsty grudges get in the way.
I have never read a book from this author but I have to say that I look forward to reading more!! Truly loved this story!! I was rooting for Beckett and Lane from the get go and wished Charley would get his just does!

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Lane and Beckett and does not let go. They have one night together in Vegas and then return to their normal lives. However, things are about to change when he ends up buying the company she works for.

A quick enjoyable story. Lachlan is in Vegas with friends celebrating her birthday, she has a hot and steamy quickie with a stranger. They part leaving it up to fate if they will run into each other. Months later Lachlan learns her new boss is Olympic swimmer and her Vegas hookup Beckett. Great refreshing story with wonderful characters.

Spent a lot of time confused because the lead female has a boy's name (Lachlan).
Appreciated that the banging started early in the book, but the sex was too easy. Barely a paragraph and she's going off. I get that it's fiction, but that's not interesting to read about.
Beckett, the lead male, has a verbose and flowery internal monologue, which felt anything but authentic.
Lane needed Beckett to show her you can be a boss and still have a personal life. Beckett showed so much growth in his life. Looking forward to a possible sequel.

This was a good boss/ employee romance. I liked the story even if the storyline had a bit too much drama for my taste. I really liked the fact that in Laney we get a strong heroine. That was probably my favorite thing about the story.
What happened in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas. It's a small world afterall. I love Beckett and Lane. They are quite lovable character. I like the fact that the important people are not annoying. This was a good read. You should definitely pick it up.
Thirst Trap is a heartfelt story written by Willow Sanders which features a boss and employee tale. The characters, Lane and Beckett, are well developed and likable. I found this quick read enjoyable and fun.
