My parents forgot something when they ran… me.After scamming most of our town out of their life savings, my folks disappeared in the middle of the night.
Forced to take me in, my estranged aunt and uncle shipped me off to Raven River Academy the first chance they got.
In my town, the line between the haves and the have-nots is actually a twelve-foot gate that keep the unwanted where they belong. Nothing could unite the two factions until I set foot on campus.
For the first time in our history, they all agree on one
I must pay for my father’s sins.
But why should I care?
The joke is on them because I have nothing left inside. No part of me that isn’t already broken. I invite them to do their worst.
Until The Angels enter the game.
The most dangerous gang in town has a score to settle with my family, and Cassius, Clay, Hiro, and Royal are here to collect.
Raven River soon becomes a battleground of lies, deceit, and violence, and I stand at the heart of it.
The gorgeous otherworldly Angels will remind me that there is one thing left that I care about… and they’ll destroy it in heavenly fire. The Raven River Academy series is a contemporary high school bully romance. It features language and dark themes. If you're cool with that, dive in!
Ruby Vincent is a published author with many novels under her belt but now she's taking a fun foray into contemporary romance. She loves saucy heroines, bold alpha males, and weaving a tale where both get their happy ever after.
It's been 2 weeks since I read it and being my scatterbrained self, I forgot to write the review immediately. Now I can't remember a lick about this book except that I dnf'd it somewhere in the middle. I guess that points to the blandness of it🤷
Usually I’m tapped out by the final book in series with 4 or more books, but I’m this series, I actually really enjoyed this final book and the way everything comes together. Ruby Vincent does a great job of mixing action and plot with the character and relationships growth and I absolutely loved the epilogue at the end.
Narration: Addison Barnes 4.5/Performance Overall Rating: 4.25/stars 3/spice Trope: RH/Bully HS Academy (with a touch of Darkness) 18+ Overall Review: I love a good academy bullying, and this did not disappoint. I can always count on Ruby Vincent as an author to keep me on my toes with twists and turns. I am never able to see what the end is going to bring. Ember (FMC) has an amazing strong will with a great sense of right and wrong. Her parents are on the run and disliked by everyone in their crazy town. Ember’s parents scammed most of the town and took off with millions. They left her and her brother alone. Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it does. Ember and her brother are shipped off to a boarding school by their aunt and uncle, and everyone has a family member that lost money to their parents. Complications start fast and become threatening in less than 10 minutes of being there. However the most shocking is that her parents scammed a gang and now Royal, Hiro, Cassius and Clay are sent to collect. Thing is, Royal and Ember have history. Things get even more complicated as the series moves on. These guys are known as “The Angels” but they are far from it until they prove they just might be. Things with these five heat up throughout the series. Some truths about the town and all the corruption within the families is insane. This series will take you on a series of twisted turns that have you questioning everyone. I truly loved everything about it.
I would rate this series as a 2.5. I randomly came across the series and I haven't read Ruby Vincent Before. The storyline is great, I was completely hooked. The book started off really good, book 1 was really interesting and part of book 2. I really struggled with book 3, the execution was poorly done.
I have no problem with Ember ending up with 4 men. My big issue was that her character was exxergerated in a way that made me want to pull my hair sometimes. For Example, Ember ordering an FBI agent around to dish out an offer for that thug without even disclosing to him what she was up to 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Ember unnecessarily provoking a fucking gang leader and walking away unscathed ... UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
She really pissed me the fuck off. Sitting on her high horse controlling Clay, Cassius, Royal and Hiro 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. Taking unnecessary risks even when pregnant and somehow nothing happened to her. Thinking she was better than everyone else.
I saw Brandon coming a mile away. Played her real good. She ended up assaulting him and getting away with it- double standards much------
The Aunt Violet stint was a bit forced. The whole storyline around the con and I loved the twist but the person behind it all just didn't make much sense.

I literally have head to toe chills after reading the last few lines of the final book.
I will admit that throughout the books I was a bit put off by Ember's sexcapades, but in the end, it was all as it was meant to be. Why shouldn't a strong woman have 4 men to worship her and their children!? I can barely handle one!
Anyway, the action, twists, turns, love and drama were present in all the best ways. I'm usually pretty good at predicting who the "bad guy" is, but I was very wrong g! In fact, the person wasn't even on my radar!
I absolutely loved this series. The suspense made me put it down as I couldn’t bear if something horrible happened, but I had to immediately continue reading to find out what happened next. I know I sound crazy but I was so into the characters and their lives, the excitement exhausted me in the best of ways. I know I’ll read it again and again it was that good. I recommend it to everyone who likes mystery, love and family. Thank you Ruby Vincent for sharing your talent by writing this amazing story.
It was a little touch and for a second but actually enjoyed this book. Ember is what really kept me interested I loved her resilience, strength, and attitude she much the story what it was. Hiro didn’t get a lot of time to shine so I was surprised she married him and not Royal but I still loved the dynamics and the way she pushed them to be more. Because of Ember this story was a hit and her character is what kept me reading when I wasn’t sure I liked the plot. Overall very good read.
This is the first series or book that I have read by this author but it won't be the last. It was a riveting read in that it contained everything you could possibly want in a series. It had well developed and continuous growing characters, drama, betrayal, action, lots and lots of sex, and a happily ever after. What more can you ask for??? If you enjoy reverse harem romance, then you will enjoy this feisty 18 year old that is wise beyond her years as is her Angels!!!
No where in the book did it warn you it was smut RH book. Hugely disappointing because it started out really good. She really only seemed into Royal but then she became a hoe and sleeps with them all. Skipped to the end and she actually has a kid with each of them. Wtf?! Wish the was a way to block all the RH books from my book options. Wasted a good hour of my time insert super sad face.
This is a storyline about family betrayers, lies, and hurt. The mother and father leave the children in the mess they created. They bought a patch of land. People drop money millions they invest in flooding land and protected wild life. They ran off and Ember and her deaf brother are with the uncle their dad brother and gis wife. They enter Raven River Academy. With plenty of hardship and trouble. You have to read what happens.
This is the heart stopping, thrilling type of book I look for where so many others are lacking. Some lack adequate plot, others lack intensity, while in many characters or dialogue fall flat. With this book every aspect is a work of excellence. I can't recommend it more highly. It's just too bad stars stop at five!
I laughed and I cried throughout this book. A brave girl who tried to hold herself together but showed that just because you break doesn’t mean you aren’t strong and her men she surrounded herself with are all amazingly strong regardless of what was thrown at them
I can't even begin to say how amazing this series was!!! I INHALED all nearly 13,000 pages in TWO DAYS! That's on top of working full time! I loved it and now am heading to Amazon to add the books to my bookshelves!!!
I fell in love with Ember and her angels, with her little brother Eli and her best friend Camila. I laughed like a crazy woman at several moments and then there were moments I cried as loudly as if I lost my dog.
I absolutely loved this series. There were times when I wanted to pull my hair in frustration but it all turned out amazing and I’m so in love with these characters I hate to say goodbye.
As ever by Ruby, this series was obsessive and I adored the intriguing story lines and the intricacies between the characters Well worth the read and was also fabulous as an audible listen too. Highly recommended
This trilogy was super engrossing, and the development doesn’t get any better than this. The characters were fabulous, with a wide range of personalities. The world the author built is for sure a in depth development all its own.
I am so glad I stumbled upon this series. Lots of steamy time, a girl that takes no sh*t, and some strong guys to worship her. Sounds like heaven to me!
This was a great series and I'm thankful I could read it all at once. How can you not love the Angels? They are all amazing. Ember is tough and keeps you on your toes. She is smart, but sometimes her mouth gets the better of her. It's hard not to fall for all these characters. Ruby keeps you in your toes throughout, trying to figure out all of the mysteries. I would have never guessed the ending. I love that. A book that keeps you guessing is a great book. This series did just that!
