It’s Chloe’s first day of kindergarten and somehow Mr. Whiskers gets roped in to going with her!

A cute story about going to school.

Ages: 3 - 6

Cleanliness: nothing to note.

With each review, I provide a Cleanliness Report, mentioning any objectionable content I come across so that parents and/or conscientious readers (like me) can determine beforehand whether they want to read a book or not. Content surprises are super annoying, especially when you’re 100+ pages in, so here’s my attempt to help you avoid that!

Its' Chloe's first day of kindergarten, and she's changed her mind about going. In fact, the only way she'll attend school is if Mr. Whiskers comes with her.

Though he doesn't fit too well in those tiny chairs, he has a good time painting, playing with blocks, and performing "I'm a Little Teapot."

And what a natural he is at naptime!

This is lots of fun for all ages . . . AND, Mr. Whiskers, who discovers

The Cranberry books are ones that the librarians before me LOVED to read. I feel very ehh about them. Cranberry First Day of School has been my least favorite so far. While the story can be a little relatable to the students, there's not a whole lot that makes me or the kids want to go back and reread the book.

My 3 yr old daughter loves this book. I do a really low, gravelly voice for Mr Whiskers and she always asks me to demonstrate I'm a Little Teapot. It's a very cute story too about overcoming fears and feeling out of place.
