This is a very fascinating book. Because of the amount of anecdotes and scientific data presented it can be a bit of slow reading at times... but well worth the time. The main crux of the book is that our heart is much more than just a pump. It takes you into a voyage of understanding of why one should see the heart as the essence of our being, the seat of our soul. If you are familiar with yoga/meditation you will know that this is also what the ancient seers believed and that it is something one can experience with practice.

A beautiful encounter of scientific research, Hawaiian shamanism, modern medicine, and personal experiences showing how memory cells work in our body.

I really wanted this to be a good book, but it sucked. Very painful to read - I stopped at 33% read. It wasn't at all what I expected - too scientific.
