4.5 maybe?

“She was like a back yard full of fireflies lighting up the darkness, and all I wanted was to be near her, to touch her and taste her, to make her feel all the things I wanted and thought she deserved.”

I am hella shocked by how much i fell for this one. It started rocky and i wasn’t sure how i felt about Luke’s alpha nature towards Cara off the bat. But i ended up really enjoying their romance and how Luke diverted to her for ideas on taking down the rival mafia gang.

I really fell in love with Cara! Her transformation into a badass mafia chick was awesome, she started off a little naive and wary, but became a woman who was ready to take charge and get revenge. She held her ground, but wasn’t immune to all the violence around her. She was so believable.

The way that Luke melted for Cara and completely fell for her was adorable and I loved that softer side of him. And while he was a beast, a killer, he cared so much for his crew and the loyalty he had built with them. They were a true family.

This is also a super action packed mafia novel, which is something I always appreciate. Things get bloody and brutal quickly and the book doesn’t stray from the details. I loved the intense gun fight scenes and the blackmail aspects - a true mafia story!

I’ll def be reading more from BB Hamel.

The smartest is not the one you think

Excellent romance, hot, which was not won at the start since the hero, Luke, is a mobster who kills another criminal in front of his daughter, Cara, and kidnaps her to save her from the other gangs. This is one of the points that made me not understand their attachment, but more their attraction, which left me perplexed.
On the other hand, I really liked their association, first for a good reason, then to get rid of those who chase them. The story is very well written, with great characters.

I am new to BB Hamel’s books, but I’m quickly becoming a huge fan. This is a mafia action-packed romance which I totally loved.

This story is about Luke and Cara…
Cara’s dad is a lowlife loser who seems to piss off everyone he meets. He stole a dossier from a major mafia family. The Lionetti’s. They put a hit out on Cara‘s dad and Luke stumbles upon him first and kills him right in front of Cara.

Although Cara hates her dad she’s also torn because someone just murdered him right in front of her.

Luke takes Cara to his house to protect her because other Mafia crews are looking for Cara because they think she knows where the dossier is hidden.
Luke was instantly smitten with Cara and knew he wanted her from day one. At first Cara doesn’t feel the same way but quickly he changes her mind and they fall for one another.

Luke has a boss that he has to answer to and his boss is not fond of the fact that he has taken Cara under his protection. He knows that mafia crews are looking for her and he thinks Luke isn’t thinking with his brain.

Luke and Cara need to come up with a plan that makes his boss happy and also keeps Cara alive.

The story was well written, full of action and adventure!

If you like mafia romances I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to read more books from this author!

Hot, steamy, suspenseful, and edge of your seat read until the end. We get cara and Luke in this story. With a horrible start you would never believe we would come to such a lovely epilogue at the end. Meeting after he killed her father so begins the tumultuous relationship. A hidden file, a mob after her and the info. But from the moment he saw her, he wanted her. So many ups and downs, while in search of the file and finding a way for this to protect cara, while helping the Bratva. Through all this their relationship shifts and she sees him for him and all he has done to protect her. Then they shift all their ire onto the Lionettis, who have killed many of their brothers. A war is brewing. Will everyone make it out alive? Loved the ending and the epilogue. Luke’s reaction was priceless and adorable.

A standalone mafia romance that will set your Kindle on fire. Guaranteed to steam up your nights as you get drawn into the romance of Luke and Cara. What a great start to the The Morozov Bratva Series. No shortage of drama, suspense, danger or passion. A great book that's hard to put down with interesting characters and an engaging story line. I read a complimentary advance reader copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

I read this directly after Savage hearts by JT Geissinger and I think that might have been to this book's detriment. I also will admit that I did not like how in your face the mafia aspects were. I don't care to see the politics and political machinations, gun fights, and other details that BB Hamel chose to include. However, there are other things that just didn't work for me.

First, I felt like Luke was flying by the seat of his pants for most of the book. He made multiple impulsive decisions like taking Cara which then he'd have to find a way to get out of. He ultimately wasn't as knowledgeable about activities as he should be considering his rank in the Bratva. I object to the fact he kept his crew in the dark for most of the book. They should be informed of the choices he makes so they are adequately prepared for the danger. Conversely, Cara was more knowledgeable and better at the politics than she should have for her being an outsider to the mafia world. She made connections that Luke didn't and ended up playing a large role in the strategies and moves that they made.

Secondly, this was an action-packed book. But the gunfights and violence were over the top and unrealistic in my opinion. There were multiple large shootouts that Luke and Cara got into, and they came out unscathed except the last one where Luke is shot 2/3 times, not seriously injured, their crew would magically have no injuries, with maybe one "clean" fatality, or instantaneous death while their enemies would be decimated.

Finally, I just did not feel the relationship between Luke and Cara. It was very insta-lusty and I never fully understood why Luke cared about Cara, other than she was pretty and eventually fit into his mafia world. Cara, I really felt like trauma bonded to Luke since he "protected" her. They definitely had some spicy scenes but I didn't care because it didn't feel like a genuine connection.

Luke and his crew worked for the Morozov Bratva. He ran a tight knit team, but never shied away from getting his hands dirty.
There was a bounty on the head of a lowlife thief. He’d stolen from the Lionetti family, presumably money. Luke had located Jimmy and managed to escort him out of the pub he was drowning his sorrows in. More patrons relieved to see the back of him than not. But as Luke pulled the trigger, he heard a gasp from behind him.
Deadbeat dad was all Cara had ever known, with him practically leaving her to raise herself and stealing from her whenever he got the chance. Yet seeing a bullet in his head was something she’d never be able to un-see.
Luke didn’t like witnesses but he wasn’t about to leave a beautiful and now probably highly sought after innocent out in the cold. So he took Cara with him to one of his safe houses…but not before a rival crew had seen her.
Cara realised she was in danger. Not from Luke, but from what her father had given her. A very valuable item that the Lionettis were desperate to get back. As Cara began to realise she could actually trust Luke, an unlikely alliance was created to keep her safe.
This was another well written and thoroughly enjoyable read. The characters were really realistic and you felt caught up in all of their misadventures and battles that ensued from all sides. Superb!

In this new Possessive Mafia Romance series we get the story of Luke, a made Bravya soldier and Cara a woman in the wrong place at the wrong time. Cara’s father, Justin never did right by her and ends up getting himself killed for stealing money and a dossier that belonged to the Lionette family had and Luke is the one who kills him and Cara sees it. Luke takes Cara to protect her from what’s coming her way and she is a strong woman with no choice if she wants to stay alive. Luke does what is necessary to undercover what’s going on and to keep Cara for himself. They have other mafia men out to get the dossier and Cara for their own needs so things get a bit crazy. There is an attraction between Luke and Cara that eventually leads to them becoming sexually involved. Cara has a hard time with this at first but then knows what’s she wants and participates in helping Luke end their danger. Luke goes to his boss when he needs permission to make certain moves and things between those out to case harm go after Luke and Cara. What Luke does to keep Cara and ends their threats is a journey to finding what they want, peace. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This book brings us Luke and Cara. Luke is a member of the Morozov family. He is sent to kill Cara's father, Justin O'Shay as there was a bounty on his head. However, Cara her the gunshot and ran to find Luke with the gun in his hand, and her father laying on the ground dead. He wasn't the only one trying to cash in on killing Mr. O'Shay as he betrayed the powerful Lionetti family by taking a dossier from them and giving it to Cara. Cara hides it, but that puts a bounty on her head also. Luke pledges to keep her safe, which he finds out is not an easy thing to do. Luke has a crew that works with him, and while he doesn't want to start a war with the Lionetti family, he wants to make them pay for killing some of his crew. Cara is conflicted at first as she didn't really love her father, but still Luke killed him in cold blood, but there is something about Luke that she feels safe with him. This was a great story, full of surprises and adventure. I highly recommend this book. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

This was an interesting, entertaining, intriguing, suspense filled drama, steamy scenes, a rollercoaster ride of emotions so addicting you can't put down until finished.
Luke is a member of Morozov Mafia leader of his own crew is sent to take out Justin O'Shay for betraying the Lionetti's Family stealing a ledger he asked his daughter Cara to hide.
Cara saw what Luke did to her lowlife father who didn't care about her running would have caused more problems for her because there were others that wanted both her & the ledger Luke promised to keep her safe.
Luke keeping Cara safe has brought danger to them & his crew he wants revenge against Lionetti's for killing his men a war is brewing will they both survive.
I definitely recommend to get this riviting Mafia Romance loved the journey Luke & Cara take you to get a HEA its a must have book loved the ending so looking forward to next BOOK.AWESOME READ!!!!

Cara and Luke met in the midst of chaos, but the zing between led them to explore their desires. Their antagonistic interactions in the beginning soon changed, when they realise they work better together for the greater good of everyone involved. The characters in the story are really interesting, the action-packed moments will keeps you on the edge of your seat and the sexual encounters will definitely get you all hot and bothered.

This book is a definite must read that you won’t be able to put down once you start reading. I have read a number of B. B. Hamel books and all I can say is that I dare you to read any of her books if you are brave enough. Each page will make you feel like you are watching the scenes unfold in a movie and at the same time wish that you were one of the main characters.

Luke Garin was loyal and ruthless and deadly, but he saw her and thought Mine! Cara O’Shay was scared by the turn of things in her life but her choices were few and dangerous. As a Morozov soldier Luke was in deep in the mafia and fighting for his woman was putting him in disadvantage but she was worthy of it, and he would protect her at risk of his own life. With a strong passion and a woman who knew how to think and plan Luke and Cara were struggling to get the upper hand and survive the fight between the Lionetti and the Morozov families. Interesting how the woman took hold of the problem at hand and used her brain. Luke liked things simples and to the point, not much of a thinker so, Cara was a good match for him. I liked their chemistry and the strong relationship Luke developed with Cara. Action, suspense, violence, a plan, romance and passion. A brand new series by this author. This story had a rollercoaster of emotions. The story is about Luke and Cara. This couple endures a great deal from the start when. Luke is Luke is sent to kill Cara's father, Justin for the bounty on his head. Cara heard the gunshot and when she got there she found her father on the ground, dead, and Luke with the gun. Justin betrayed the Lionetti family by taking a dossier which he then gave to Cara. Cara now has a bounty on her head but Luke promises to keep her safe. It will be a miracle if they both make it out alive. Luke doesn't want to start a war with the Lionetti family, but he does want revenge for the men they killed in his crew. Cara has no real loyalty to her father, but the fact is, Luke killed him so why isn’t she holding that against him and why does she trust him with her own life and, most of all, why is he protecting her.

This book was amazing and very well written, I loved the characters personalities and seeing the dynamics change and evolve. The story is full of twists and turns, action, suspense, hot chemistry and romance, a true page turner. Cara turns the corner just as Luke Garin a professional hitman for the Morozov bratva has put a bullet in her fathers head, where was she coming from?? and more to the point where is the ledger gone that her father had stolen from the rival Lionetti crime family that had got him killed.?? What are the families prepared to do to get control of the ledger? Is violence and blood shed the only answer?? Who will survive?? This book will keep you engrossed, not to mention hot under the collar. I was given this as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was totally happy to provide.

When Cara's father gets caught stealing its a death sentence for him. Luke is the one sent to kill her father and she witnesses it. Luke sees Cara and doesn't want to hurt her so he takes her with him to keep her safe. With the dossier and Cara with him Luke knows its a matter of time before someone is sent after them. He tries to figure out what's going on before everything blows up around them. Cara was afraid of Luke but the longer she is with him she starts to see him differently. Will Luke be able to keep her safe and find out how to get them out of the mess they're in? Will they end up together once everything settles?

This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. Love BB! Another great mafioso book involving the Russian bratva and the Italian mob. Luke is with the Russian bratva and he is tasked with killing a man for reward money who stole something important. Cara is the daughter of that man and she witnesses her father’s execution, but she believes he deserved it, but he was still her father. Not one to leave a witness Luke and his buddy have a problem. Knowing the Lionettis will use her as revenge, Luke takes her for himself. He’s driven by the need to possess and protect Cara and Cara is realizing Luke is the only person who cares whether she lives or dies. Definitely recommend reading.

A Great Mafia Romance!

B.B. Hamel does mafia romance better than anyone. This one features the Russian Mafia in Philadelphia. Luke is the leader of his team. He is hands on so that his soldiers know he is one of them. Unfortunately this recent ob has him meeting Cara under some damning circumstances. But he is determined to protect her. The story builds from there and gets better with every turn of the page. I really like Ms. Hamel’s world building. And I couldn’t put this one down. Stayed up all night to finish it. It is action packed and full of steamy encounters. I highly recommend this book. I did receive an advance copy for my honest review.

After seeing what Luke did to her lowlife father, Cara probably should have run, although maybe it would have just caused more trouble for her. Now she has been dragged into Luke's dangerous world, and there are men after her for her father's betrayal to the Lionetti family. Will Luke keep her safe? Or just bring her danger to his crew? I loved this dangerous mob romance, the interesting twists of their tale, and how it all played out. I loved both Cara and Luke, they seem to be good for one another.

Luke, who works for the Bratva, kills a guy with a bounty on his head, but he doesn’t realize the guy’s daughter, Cara, is there and witnesses it. Knowing that rival families are on their way, he takes Cara under his protection. But she’s keeping a secret, right before her father was killed he gave her a folder of pics of very important and powerful men in compromising positions. And another rival family wants it back and they want Cara. But Luke isn’t even considering it, she’s his and he’ll do anything to keep her safe.
I’ve read several of B.B. Hamel’s books and have enjoyed every one. This was another good read!

Once again, we get thrown into an action packed steamy Bratva story in Bratva Sinner. This is the tumultuous story of Luke and Cara. The story starts out with a gut-wrenching action that propels these two into each other’s orbits; making the romance that much hotter!

The story is gritty, violent, action packed. There is wonderful dialogue and great world building. The characters are there, developed and as a reader I could not help but root for them. The author really knows how to grab the reader and not let go. I was immersed into this story and did not want it to end!

I’ve read a lot of mafia romances lately, and Bratva Sinner is one of the best. Luke and Cara are the perfect couple. He’s the typical mafia alpha male and she’s a spunky, in your face partner in crime! Their chemistry was amazing. I loved their sassy and sexy banter. Danger, murder and mayhem abound and they work together to bring down the enemies. The plot was fast paced, full of action, and kept my attention all the way through to the satisfying ending. This is Luke and Cara’s story. Luke is a hitman who is sent on assignment to kill a man for his actions, and when Cara is in the wrong place ay the wrong time, she witnesses her father being killed. Luke kidnaps Cara to protect and keep her safe from other crime families. This is a well written story which had me intrigued and on tenterhooks throughout, and this story is filled with suspense, danger, and love, which leads to a steamy and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Another mafioso finds love

All Luke had to do was kill his target and collect his money. What he didn’t expect was his target’s daughter. His beautiful, innocent daughter. Seems the target stole something, gave it to his daughter and now there’s a bounty on her. Why can’t things be simple?

Cara’s father was a piece of dirt her whole life. But she didn’t realize just how low he would go when he painted a target on her back to move it off of his. Now she’s Luke’s “prisoner.” She has nowhere safe to go and Luke has taken her under his wing. How are they going to get out of this?

Stockholm syndrome??? What a traumatic beginning this couple had!! Omg. Cara was a real liability to Luke's health and safety, but he steadfastly protected her. That's a real man. He was a true gentleman and waited until Cara was ready to be together. He was kinda romantic like a bad boy Romeo. Lol. Luke's plan to get out of the situation was ingenious!! I really enjoyed this bratva romance story. Luke is part of the Marazhov family. He finds Justin O' Shay to collect the bounty on his head. What he did not expect is Cara, Justin's daughter, to catch everything. Now he has to protect her from the Lionetti family and everyone else who wants what she has hidden. It is full of danger, shootouts, and steam for these two lovers. Will they succeed with their mission?

Luke just offed her pops.

Luke does Justin in with a bullet to the head.
Only, his daughter Cara witnessed Luke pulling the trigger. So, in order to save her from being trafficked by the Leonetti family, he takes her and keeps her. Luke is a surprisingly cheery and pragmatic hitman (better he pulls the trigger than someone else). Cara is very young and goes a but Stockholm syndrome pretty quick.

This is book is the Morozov family. Luke was out to get revenge on someone who stole from another family. He met Cara when taking care of the problem who was her father. He saved her and decided to keep her under his protection where he found out that what her father stole was something more than he was lead to believe. Luke and Cara are both smart and determined to make it through alive when a target ends up on their backs. Their story is fast paced, sexy, and fun to read.

Real page turner!

From start to finish this book grabs your attention. B.B. Hamel created another winner. I couldn't put this book down. The firefight scenes are described as if you're there either watching it or participating in it. The steamy love scenes are so hot 🔥! 🔥! I think saw steam rising out of my kindle. What can you forgive and what cant you forgive, that is a tough dilemma for Cara as the circumstances she meets Luca in are the worst possible kind.

Absolute page turner of a storyline as you not want to put it down, the twists and turns, suspense and thrilling scenarios are a must read.

Another family in the mix of Philadephia’s crime to get your pulse up.
