Pinch and Darrow always had an on and off relationship. Now it's truly over and they are both moving on. However the way Darrow is moving on is just a little bit different since at the moment no one knows where she is. Well that isn't exactly true, some folks know, just not Esland.
Esland is Darrow's best friend and she's concerned about her, but she also has a problem. Darrow told her if she ever needed help she should go to Pinch. When she does, well lets say the first encounter doesn't go well. The second one, gets his attention.
I have to say getting information out of Esland was much like pulling teeth for Pinch. It doesn't help that he's falling hard and fast for her. She on the other hand has loved him for a very long time and her friendship with Darrow is holding her back.
Plenty of suspense and intrigue as we find out why the body and threat turned up in Esland's apartment. We finally find out where Darrow is, we see some folks from K19 as well, I love that by the way.
Not an easy relationship but one that makes so much sense. Lots of memories, with a few twists and turns that may surprise you.
I really can't wait for the next book in this series.

Wonderfully fantastic... The book was amazing... It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it... The characters and their personalities match them perfectly... The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing...

Axel (Pinch) and Esland (Essie or True)
I was intrigued from the beginning and yes, when an agent and a reporter are tossed together or over a shoulder, ooh, there's going to be some sparks. This was another "wow, did not see that coming at all read".
Axel finally realizes he knew Esland from when they were little and he realizes something else. These two have some smoking chemistry.
All the drama and twists to keep you on your toes wondering and waiting, antsy.
This one brings them all to Texas and we get to see Doc again, where all this originated from, along with his wife Merrigan, bringing back so many memories of the Butler Series, then turning to the K19 Series and right back here to new troubles and help from some most unexpected places in the MI6 Series.
A stand alone with an HEA, but I like knowing all the memories that bring us to Pinch!

Axel, "Pinch" to his colleagues. is seen as the most likely candidate for the next head of MI5, when is former ex-girl friend's best friend is asking him for help.
With her life on the line, a murder to solve and corruption in the management of the Premier League, he has his hands full.
This is the third book of the "Military Intelligence Section 6" Series, and it makes the story a lot easier to understand, if you have read at least the previous book, as this one contains a lot of references without bothering to explain. But even so, I think one could still understand the story without the background of the first two books.
Well written and as a series a spin-off of K19, I love this series and it promises to be as interesting to read as K19 had been.
If you love the spy/romance thriller genre then this series is definitely for you.

An emotional second chance romance.💞💖💞
This story has a little bit of everything and ends up being absolutely wonderful!💓
Esland or "Ezzie" and Axel or "Pinch" are connected by his ex-girlfriend, Darrow, who is Ezzie's best friend. But she also means a lot to Axel even though he's been fighting his feelings for a very long time. And Ezzie has been hiding the fact that she's been in love with him since they were children. But on this night, Ezzie was just trying to do her job as an investigative reporter when they ran into each other at the local pub. After Axel made her leave, she came back scared. What happens next is full of twists and turns and passion.💗🔥💕

Heather Slade has done it again another great suspenseful romance, with drama, danger, steam and a touch of love to finish it out. I couldn’t help but fall for Axel “Pinch” Fulton he is just such a great character, a sexy alpha protector and then there is Esland the sexy reporter who just seems to find her self some trouble. Pinch was well written it will have you hooked and wanting more and more till you have finished this story in one sitting. I have to say I absolutely love Ms. Heather Slade’s writing she just has such a way with her words you can’t help but love her books. She brings these characters to life and they are incredibly lovable. I absolutely loved and and highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more. I hope you will enjoy the wild ride that a waits you. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Pinch is Book 3 in the Military Intelligence Section 6 series and it is awesome. Axel and Darrow, the Dukes sister, have been in a on-again, off-again relationship. Esland Cartwright is Darrow’s best friend and while growing up as children, Axel was the one to always slaw her dragon’s.. She’s loved him since childhood, but would never poach on her best friend’s boyfriend. When Ezzie finds herself in trouble, she goes to Axel for help, but he only knows her as an annoying journalist and doesn’t remember they grew up together. There’s suspense, intrigue, corruption and twists and turns they keep you interested throughout the entire book Must read and highly recommend this series. I’m a huge fan of Ms Slade’s!

Another great book in this wonderful series Heather is an artist at winding the tension tight and keeping the suspense bubbling along her books are always a pleasure to read

When her investigations get her in trouble she goes to Pinch for help after all she knows him through Darrow and they also knew one another as children. He isn't sure if he wants to help her but as danger circles her his protective instincts kick in and that isn't all the more time he sends with her the more he realises she may be the woman for him Do they have a future together can he keep her safe You will have to read to see

Beautiful childhood friends-to-lovers romantic suspense
Axel, code name Pinch, is infuriated by the journalist that just won’t leave him to his investigations. Only after she comes to him for help, he realizes she’s the same girl he knew growing up and, not coincidentally, the best friend of his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Darrow.
Esland has no intention of poaching her best friend’s man, even if they’re really over for good. But he’s the only one who can help her figure out who’s trying to kill her, and he’s the only one whose overprotective nature calls to something deep inside her heart.
This is an exciting, fast-paced romance that uncovers secret after secret as it brings out the best in both Axel and Esland. The character development is outstanding, the tricky situation was handled deftly and realistically, and the payoff at the end was exquisite. I wish we’d had a bit more closure to the Westbrook storyline, but that’s a small matter. I love all the books in this series, but this one is perhaps the sweetest, most romantic one so far. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Something about her put him in the worst frame of mind ever. He didn't do it on purpose it was an automatic response. Then it happened. He saw it in her eyes, terror. The past was catching up to her and it had nothing to do it him, but she needed his help, heart be damned. When questions come up regarding her parents death and her family legacy the teams assistance is requested. It's a storm of major proportions and this author is going to make us work for an ending. Prepare to once again have your heart racing out of control with the action and mayhem that surrounds this team and the people they love. This author always makes sure the stories amazing, the characters are adrenaline inducing and the chemistry is off the charts. Pinch meets his match and finally finds his home.

This was a fantastic and thrilling new read from Heather Slade. Axel "Pinch" is a up for a promotion for Director General of MI5 when a complication throws a wrench in his plans. Esland is a reporter whose life has been threatened, so she turns to the only man she can trust for help though he doesn't like her. When the two are reunited sparks fly and emotions from childhood resurface. Pinch was filled with heartache, doubt, danger, an alpha male learning to compromise, a young woman finally opening up about her past, laughter, wit, passion, and love. Readers will be captivated by Axel and Esland's story. I absolutely loved all of the suspense and plot twists.

Heather Slade has become one of my favorite authors. She combines the right amount of romance and suspense for her readers, with very strong and unique plots for each book in her series.
This novel is about Axel, an MI5 agent also known as Pinch, and Esland, a writer for The Times newspaper. It seems that Esland has discovered some information regarding her parents' fatal "accident" more than a decade ago. When her apartment is been broken into, she asks for Axel's help where he discovers a dead body. As information becomes available, the past collides with the present and Esland's life is in danger from an unknown source.
The author leads the reader through a twisted tale until the baddies are revealed and an HEA ending achieved. Excellent and satisfying story.

This is book 3 in the Military Intelligence Section 6 series and it features Axel “Pinch” Fulton and Esland Cartwright. As children, others knew they were destined to be together. Many years and other relationships later, here they are trying to solve a mystery together. The mystery is a HUGE scandal but the beautiful romance took precedence for me. I fell in love with their easy love.
This author’s books have always had great story lines and fantastic romances but the romance between Pinch and Esland has something special. The story is sweet, extremely sexy, romantic, sizzling HOT and full of action! I love that there are so many characters from previous books included in the story. As always, I look forward to whatever comes next.

More M15 and K19 Adventures – Love These!!
I would recommend you read these in order – I do not think you would be “lost”, but these characters have relevant roles in prior stories. They are amazing, so no problem for this reader.
Darrow has “disappeared”. Her bestie Esland is a nosey reporter, and Pinch / Alex (everyone has a code name) is totally put out with her, until he realizes she is in danger and needs help.
A brilliant story of twists and turns, with team, family, romance and unexpected events. Highly entertaining, can’t wait for more!

This is the story of Pinch (Axel) and Esland. This is such a great story. As always, being a Military Intelligence book, there was a lot of action in it. I love the way Heather Slade brings in the other characters as well. The plot of this story brings to light what goes on in the world today. It is written so well, you get absorbed in it as if you were right there with them. The hot steamy scenes could take your breath away. The suspense and mystery was at a high level. All is revealed nearer the end of their story. I was surprised at the truth. I am so looking forward to the next book.

Axel “Pinch” and Esland were enemies since she was an investigative reporter, who often got too close to the truths as a spy he was trying to hide, but she runs to him for help and he ends up being her protector. They investigate why she was told her parents deaths were not an accident and she received a death threat that she was next. Darrow comes back and Esland wonders if it’s really over between her and Axel. Other members of MI5, Doc, Merrigan, and other members of K19 get involved in this hunt for the truth before Esland pays with her life. There was plenty of action and romance and it was great to catch up with characters from previous books.

You know you want to read this! Another excellent, multilayered masterpiece. You will always get more than you expect in this authors work and this book holds true to form. I expect you could manage to “get” this book if you tried to read it as a stand-alone but there are so many benefits to reading the series in order. Plus you’ll catch a lot of nuances that might be missed if you don’t start at the beginning. Excellent character development and a fast paced story line make this another winner. Excitement danger and a blistering relationship in one book. Can Pinch protect Esland when there are enemies everywhere? (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

What a wonderful and intriguing new "Military Intelligence Section 6" story! Love the characters and plot in this story. Esland and Axel (aka Pinch) are combustible. She is trouble to him but soon realizes he knew her growing up. He is Esland's best friends ex-boyfriend, or on again and off again boyfriend. However, the chemistry and attraction between Esland and Axel cannot be denied. This story is fast paced with suspense, danger, passion and intrigue as well as amazing twists and turns. This is probably my favorite so far in this series.

Pinch is book 3 of Heather Slade’s Military Intelligence Section 6 Series. Each story is a stand-alone although best read in order for more enjoyment as characters feature prominently throughout. While I have enjoyed each of the stories in this series, Pinch is by far my favorite. I love the depth of the characters getting to really appreciate Pinch more as he advances in his intelligence career and coming to know Esland, a journalist, and the unique influence of her family, amidst a dead body and scandal. Don’t want to give anything away but oh so loved it!

Every time I read one of Heather Slade’s books, I fall in love with her writing all over again! I first started reading her books for her cowboys! Now I just read her books! Ms. Slade creates a masterful blend of intrigue, adventure and suspense infused with romance and a little angst. Her characters are interesting and we keep running into ones we have met before (which I absolutely love!). Pinch and Essie are wonderful characters solving the mystery of who is trying to kill Essie and why. A real page turner! Loved it!

It starts with Pinch at the pub talking with Wilder and Cartwright comes up to talk to him but Piinch doesn't like what she is saying so he picks her up and drops her outside so she goes home. Cartwright finds her door opened and so she returns to the pub and tells Pinch she needs help and after telling him what she finds he agrees to help her. The story kept me reading to find out what is happening and I couldn't put it down till it was finished. I look forward to reading the next book in this series . I recommend this book!!!!!

I am not sure that I even know where to begin writing a review for this because it is truly an awesome experience.
The author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major two characters, but the minor ones too.
I loved everything about it - the characters, the plot, the emotion, the writing, and the ability that the author had to tell me a story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.

Fast-pace and fun, exciting and exhilarating. I love a good friends to lovers romance but throw in a bit of suspense and lots of secrets and it becomes something out of this world.
Pinch and Esland go on a roller coaster of a time. Exes and best friends, childhood memories, a big threat and fighting insane chemistry would make anyone crazy, but it’s one heck of a ride for sure! You’ve gotta read it to see for yourself.
This book definitely kept me on my toes. Great HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book as gifted by the author.

Fast-paced action adventure with suspense, danger and intrigue along with a sexy romance. This author always delivers on an entertaining read with a great storyline and a sexy romance. This one doesn’t disappoint. Axel aka Pinch is a super spy in a deadly game of intrigue when a pesky journalist shows up in the form of the beautiful and sexy Esland. Steamy chemistry is the name of the game with these two and the fun beginning. Lots of passion and danger!

This is an amazing romantic suspense story. There's just the right amount of mystery, intrigue, drama, romance, and spice to keep you turning pages. The characters are well developed and captivating.. Pinch is a strong sexy alpha hero you can't help but love, Esland is the smart, sexy heroine that has been in love with him since she was young. I really enjoyed reading this book. I received this book as a gift and voluntarily give this review.
