A daredevil prince wants to pay me mega-bucks to train him to hold his breath underwater for ten minutes? Sign me up.
Except I’m a magician, not a stunt consultant. My record-beating dive without air was a trick. Of course, I can’t tell that to my client, the royally hot Anatolio Cezaroff, a.k.a. Tigger. Not if I want to be able to pay my rent.
Also, I’m not exactly comfortable around germs. All germs, including those lurking on uber-attractive men. So falling for my gorgeous client is out of the question, and I fully intend to keep my distance.
That is, until he offers to train me in bed.
NOTE: This is a standalone, raunchy, slow-burn romantic comedy featuring a movie-obsessed, germaphobic heroine who's dying to be a famous magician, a scorching hot Ruskovian prince who loves to live on the edge, and two oversized dogs who may or may not have caused said prince's wardrobe malfunction. If any of the above is not your cup of tea, run far, far away. Otherwise, buckle in for a laugh-out-loud, feel-good ride.
I love writing humor (often the inappropriate kind), happy endings (both kinds), and characters quirky enough to be called oddballs (because... balls). If you love your romance heavy on the comedy and feel-good vibes, visit mishabell.com and sign up for my newsletter.
"The stranger’s beautiful eyes roam over my face before narrowing again. “You’re not Holly. She’s nice.” A touch of that wicked smirk returns to his lips, and his voice deepens. “Whereas you are naughty.” That does it. No more Mrs. Nice Magician."
'This just might be my greatest illusion to date.'
True to form, fit, fancy and their joint zany authorship profile, the mutual force of Ana Zaires and Dima Zales amounts to one thing; rom-com eccentricity carved by two sets of hands that love to twiddle their fingers to romance of its own upended sensibility. If you loved the flair of Misha Bells’ Hard Code (or any other book in their Hard Stuff series), the likelihood of loving this is a matter of racing formulaic certainty. As is the certainty of enjoying heroes who may not have a voice until the final act epilogue but who always, always appear to lay a quiet claim to their soon-to-be heroine, with lowkey pursuit on the mind from the start. Dabbling in that space of shameless comedy with quirky textures, characters of their own idiosyncrasy and alternative cultures, Royally Tricked promises a feel-great slow burn with some delightful silly. Furnished with troublesome furry creature pets with agendas, eccentricities and bizarre situations to swoon and swan over, the ace in the hole for me was opening my book to the life of a leading lady creative with aspiring wishes to become a great female illusionist. How empowering is that for an aspired day job? What also sets Gia apart - apart from her profession - is her evasion for physical contact. Bacterium conscious, disease conscious, health conscious and food conscious, her branch of pathogenic sensitivity was an admittedly an interesting take, unique to the profile of the traditional heroine. I had a special appreciation for it because it strikes uncannily close to home.
I was particularly interested in how the obstacle of Gia's phobia with physical affection and sexual intimacy would be challenged and resolved as a difficulty within the budding relationship with Tigger. Or even - if it wasn't - what the uniqueness of their relationship would look like. That perhaps fascinated me the most, non-traditional in the league of common representation, but really quite realistic to the real-life struggles many of us actually maintain with intimacy resistance. Sexual Intimacy reservation isn't customarily sighted within romance (naturally), and while Royally Tricked explores it through the lens of light-hearted anomaly as opposed to a somber route for Gia's affliction, and neither does it cut into the shape of Gia's mental health (rom-com that this is), it certainly opens its doors to a heroine who sports that difference. Without getting too Identical, some of Gia's major hesitations with pathogen-related objection, intimacy and OCD felt closely resonant. Gia does eventually breach that barrier (not withstanding her questionable method of exposure therapy), and until we fully get there there are some unique (and fun) sexy situations, fully accommodated and encouraged by Tigger to gently let Gia lead by way of what she can handle, always leaving the proverbial set of cards in her gloved hands. Celibacy, born from whatever reason, is more common than is laid bare. It takes growth, pace, patience and encouragement and the right person to find that ideal. This isn't an in-depth take on the matter mentioned by any means and while Gia’s experience exposing herself to and coming through some uncomfortable situations felt a bit untouched, and the value of comedy relief both surrounds and lightens the Importance of it, I still appreciated the Inclusion.
Agree or disagree? The kind of hero we want to read about is one who supports his heroine's differences, backs her when appropriate, wouldn't run back to this hills of Ruskovia when faced with her very 'Meet the Fockers' parents, is always bewitched by her magic, once called his pets fur babies, would accommodate new 'experiences' for her, would make a them-themed flower bouquet for her and uses his princely resources to procure specialist suits for her to enjoy what she hasn't she enjoyed with another partner before? This Ruskovian prince is indeed a thoughtful prince. Let it be recognised that should anyone wish to be my benefactor and finance me something very similar to a VR suit that accommodates incredible 'fun' times with incredible results, I'll be nothing less than grateful. But back to this hero who's always there to lend his assets, support and expedience to his heroine's aid. Tigger's available to, step by step, help Gia meet a few turning points and eventually experience the full monty without gloves, special suits or distance of any kind. Perhaps what bothered me with Tigger is that he felt more 2D than 3D as a leading male; I wanted more from his characterisation. Despite Gia's general reluctance with physical relations, one can trust that this heroine certainly has her wiles in personality. She's fun, bold and a trickster with personality. She was reminiscent of Fanny from Hard Code in monologue and in being inwardly fertile in imagination. I would say Royally Tricked is slow burn, but the lust did feel a bit one to sixty in a millisecond when Gia sets eyes on Tigger for the first time.
Admittedly, whether it was a case of mood or matter, I wasn't quite gripped from the start. I did struggle to summon the appropriate level of appeal, and some of the fun moments didn't consequently have the inspired funny impact. But I did enjoy the entertaining style, and the story has some very fun accents. With the confession that this is only the second book from this author partnership that I've read, there is a very similar story formula to Hard Code, among other content-related commonalities. Movie franchise/pop culture references, vampire similitudes, quirky characters, pet shenanigans, the big humour and oddball assets, it's all there. I would have preferred for a more brushed-up and explained epilogue; Tigger and Gia have roaming, moving lives thereafter, and since there isn't major discourse/conversation over their relationship throughout the read, I wanted to know how they manage to maintain their relationship with the busy travel, especially since Tigger expressed that he was only temporarily in New York for recovery. I also wanted the epilogue gave more notice to Gia's Intimacy progress; we know she's well and integrated with Tigger without problem, but where does her relationship stand with all other things germy? How would she handle situations such in life if he were to get sick? Maybe I caught to curiosity bug, but I wanted to know where her germ aversion sits apart from the obstacle it produced in being romantically involved with Tigger. On a side note, Tigger's character, by comparison didn't have a noticeable development. Where he felt a bit flat, I wanted him to feel more personalised. To end on a final issue, there's also the fact we don't have the age stamps of either protagonist, and that little lack of detail usually makes me feel on uneven ground with a character.
With this being fit for the impetus of comedy romance, Misha Bell certainly have a fun buzz about their quirky-footed rom-com repertoire. A mischief-maker heroine with masterful pickpocketing prowess meets and greets some mileposts with none other than a devil-may-care awe-seeker...who just happens to be a prince. A foreign prince. A roaming, venturing, culturally experienced prince. A prince who might oblige just about anything. A prince brillianced by the sorcery of his heroine. If any one book in this series becomes an attraction equal to Gia's illusionistic aptitude, Tigger and Gia both have a family of siblings which I'm sure will establish a full set of continuing romances to enjoy for audiences of caper, comedy and misadventure. As protagonists with different lifestyles and career avenues, I really enjoyed the difference in detour. Always looking for something new and fresh. We've all got our aversions, phobias and challenges, and in line with most romances, you can expect Gia's to be a bit different, as is her very inquisitively theoretical POV monologue (with a staunch itch for contingent self-education). Some might call her realistically fearful (or considerably too cautious) and some just call him suspiciously incautious. There are spicy times with the safety on, a pussy cat who can chow and make mealtime time out of royal chum, misbehaving pets, cultural teachings, suggestive innuendos, a group of female magic-makers and a heroine who really loves her film references (much like myself). There are fibs, tricks and accents of the world< and I end this on the frugal fact I'm going to pretend I was entirely in the know that Ruskovia is in fact, as fictional as this very story.
Content Warning: Mentions a past incident with blood and brains (by way of a past bird/chicken attack). Some smut scenes. profanity.
Extra Thoughts:
1) We do have an epilogue, but unfortunately one that doesn't elaborate on how Tigger and Gia manage to have a relationship despite their venturing schedules. I'm assuming she's doing more travelling at that point, and with him being entrepreneurial, the story doesn't even mention this particularity as a problem to address.
2) I did like the celibacy representation with this read, especially since Tigger was respectful, understanding and attended to Gia's situation as well as he could. What does tend to needle me sometimes is when a celibate heroine either bemoans or laments her being a virgin. Whether in a comical vain or not, Gia might've done this once or twice.
3) The relationship itself isn't a well-developed thing, but I think it definitely could have afforded more conversation, dialogue and discourse. There wasn't much of that at all.
4) I don't mind the heroine making mild comparisons pertaining to the hero's appearance, but I don't really like strong comparisons to them looking like famous people. Gia likens the hero to the lovechild of two very well-known celebrities, and whenever this crops up, it tends to slash into the imagination of the reader wanting to imagine an appearance of their own.

This was such a cute, fun read with lots of quirky, smexy talk.
Gia had a serious phobia and it was both humorous at times as well as heart breaking, although never to the point of heavy angst. She also had a great career that I found to be interesting and unique for a romance heroine. Her family had me laughing out loud and so thankful mine were “normal”.
Tigger was so sweet and charming. I pretty much knew from the start what he was up to, but it was fun nevertheless. Without his point of view I never really knew what he was feeling but this isn’t a complicated story and with a guaranteed happy ending I could guess what was going on inside.
With a fast pace, no real angst, and lots of lovable characters, I read this through in one morning and absolutely loved it. Hoping we get Gia’s roommate’s stories.

What a riot! I love romcom, it's my favorite trope to read because I love to laugh and have that happy, light feeling when reading. Royally Tricked is an over the top humor that may not appeal to everyone but if you like this kind of humor it was spot on funny.
What I loved about this particular book the most was the uniqueness in characters. Gia was one of a kind because she's a magician. How many books do you read about a female magician? This is my first. She had a true passion for it and it showed throughout the book and it felt genuine. She was fun!
Trigger turned out to be incredibly sweet. He recognized Gia as a gem and did everything he could to accommodate her germaphopia. For a man to go that far for a woman, there is no doubt he loves her.
We get many additional fun and wacky side characters that just round this story out. If you are looking for a laugh, this is it!
3 stars. I don’t know what it is with me and this author’s books - but I started out LOVING them, and now I’m just not all that thrilled with them. I think that because the humor and some jokes are similar in all of this author’s work, parts of the story feel recycled. Or maybe the first few books I read were just THAT much funnier. Idk.
This story is about a germaphobe heroine who is also a magician and a prince hero (of some made up country) who is also a dare devil. They meet, he flashes her his man sausage, they spend some time together, and their relationship goes from zero to the heroine losing her v-card in about 5 book days. There are a lot of moments that were supposed to be funny, but they all somehow fell flat for me. There was thankfully a really cute epilogue ending with a HEA.
Anyways, I wish this author would move away from writing about characters within the same family, and try something different. Maybe that would help with my feelings about the jokes being recycled over and over again. The last three books I read all had the Hymen sisters as heroines - but the books aren’t marked as part of a series in goodreads. Is this supposed to be a series? There are 8 Hymen sisters, so I’m just hoping that there won’t actually end up being 8 books. I seriously can’t read another book that includes scenes with their disgusting parents. It was funny the first time… but the author just keeps upping the ante with these two characters and I’m just grossed out at this point.
Overall, this wasn’t a BAD story, but I really didn’t laugh at all. Maybe just one slightly strong nose exhalation.
Safe; heroine virgin, hero not a manwhore, he’s been celibate for 4 months, no ow drama, some om drama caused by a guy who is friends with the heroine but he wants more, no cheating, no scenes with om/ow.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Too much dildo talk, internal monologue for dildos, a heroine who is so purposely whacky it's unbelievable with her germophobia, and the hero despite doing crazy stunts, he's a cardboard stand in with no real personality. Jokes were caught off guard but a bit funny.
Voto: 4.5 stelle.
Gia and Tigger's story is a wonderful rom-com that encompasses germs, Houdini, and entertaining and devilish cats and dogs. Misha Bell has written another spectacular story using her characters flaws and idiosyncrasies to create a laugh out loud story that I could not put down. Using magic as a backdrop for this story I was really impressed and thoroughly enjoyed this couples story!
What does free diving, a black Lamborghini, and flower arranging have in common? Why, Tigger, of course! Gia Hymen declined to be set up with playboy Prince Anatolio “Tigger” Cezaroff in her twin sister Holly’s book, Hard Byte.
Gia will subsequently have to endure the most outrageously embarrassing, accidental, meet-cute since Bella Chortsky dropped her Kegel balls in the middle of Central Park. Actually, it’s Tigger who should be embarrassed, but you’ll soon see, he’s pretty hard to scare off!
When Tigger finds out that Gia is a magician who was able to hold her breath for twenty minutes underwater, he hires her to prepare him for a dangerous free dive. Gia can’t turn down the opportunity to get out of debt and bask in Tigger’s feline hazel gaze. How will she be able to tell him it was all just an 𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏?
Reading a Misha Bell novel is like tuning into your favourite comedy: surprising laughs, eye-rolling silliness, and adorably lovable characters create a literary refuge that is worth dropping everything to indulge in. I loved all the magic tricks that Gia has in her repertoire and how she grows more and more attached to Tigger as she coaches him in his impossible request. Gia has her own quirks, germophobia being the foremost, but Tigger turns out to be the sweetest, most romantic prince. He is totally enamoured. He sees through her eccentricities and loves all of her. I’m still swooning!
If laughter is the best medicine, then Misha Bell’s rom-coms should be bottled and taken with liberal dosing! I guarantee you can’t read one without at least silly grinning! My belly always gets a workout!
Gia Hyman is an aspiring magician and germaphobe and meets Tigger when he mistakes her for her sister Holly. When Tigger realizes that Gia can help him learn to hold his breath under water for a long amount of time he hires her and in turn helps her overcome intimacy problems due to her being germaphobic. But the two of of them catch feelings quickly. After a misunderstanding though their new relationship is threatened. I liked this book a lot but the porn references were a bit too raunchy. I thought the unlikely pairing of Gia and adventurous risk taking Tigger was really cute and liked that in the end the two got their happy ending.
Misha Bell has done it again with this hilarious and charming rom com. Royally Tricked was a page turner from the first magic trick that led to accidental royal peen flash to the magical HEA. This story captivates you and has you grinning and laughing like a fool. Gia, a germaphobe and magician was a delight. Her inner monologues and quirks make her a likable and funny character. Tigger, the hot daredevil, royal prince from Ruskovia, is fun loving, sweet and romantic. Surprisingly, not like the playboy prince the media makes him out to be.
This story was one of a kind! Filled with magic tricks, steamy sexual exposure training, and entertaining banter that will have you reading this with smile on your face. Tigger & Gia might seem like an odd pairing but somehow they mesh well. They bring out the best in each other. Loved this featured a female magician, definitely a fun and unique heroine. If you love feelgood, steamy, laugh out loud RomComs, then definitely add this your TBR.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It was so bad it was good. Definitely worth the read; it actually made me laugh out loud and was fun sharing bits with my friend. The plot is ludicrous but that's the fun of it.
This was such a funny read. A real romcom with a lot of laugh out loud moments. I really adored the hero of this book, he was sweet and patient with the heroine. The heroine was quirky, and this caused the most funny moments in this book. The hero never laughed at her, he was so helpful and just wanted to be with her no matter what. This was my first Misha Bell novel, but certainly not my last!
Safe book. Heroine was a virgin, hero not a manwhore. He was claimed to be one in the tabloids, but he only sleeps with women when in a committed relationship. No OW drama, some OM drama with heroine’s best friend who corrupts the relationship because he wants to date her himself. No cheating or sex with OP.

Magic Mis-adventures! This is what I would call reading this book! From page one it is a hoot a minute with the sometimes-bizarre antics of Gia Hyman [that surname?] and royal Anatolio Cezaroff better known as “Tigger”. Gia, a going to be a renowned illusionist with issues – germs on and in everything leaves her crippled with no dating, touching, kissing never mind intimacy. Bring Tigger into the mix, and Gia is almost ready to step out of her restrictive world, “Am I strong enough not to catch a feelings infection tonight?” This book has everything – light-hearted dialogue, animals [beware of the cats and run from bird moments], interfering parents and tech goodness of the virtual reality kind. I had so many laugh out loud moments. My favourite part of the book was the many twists on ‘Dos Equis ads’. The joviality of this book did not keep the heat low…these two could burn up every phobia on the planet! Again, there are many tidbits of Russian/Ruskovian lore that adds to the attraction. There’s also the delight of meeting familiar characters from previous Misha Bell books. However, this reads as a perfect standalone with hints for forthcoming books? After all, Gia hails from a family of eight siblings and Tigger of nine brothers – bring on the matchmaking! Another five-star read from the Misha Bell couple – a guaranteed must read.
I liked it, I was a bit scared to start this because Gia has a thing against germs and bacterie and I get it. But that was hard to picture. I got a film view of how hard it actually is, but once she had conquered it, it was so fast and suddenly it all could..
The drama Sense is the same as in the other ones. So I need a break from these and am going to read something different.
This book was one rollicking romp of a romance. I loved the combination of humor, quirkiness, steam, emotion and drama that fuels this fantastic read. Gia and Tigger's story is unrepentantly zany and over-the-top in the very best way possible; so be prepared to giggle and laugh and have you day and mood brightened. Don't take that to mean that this book skimps on the emotions, feels and swoon though, because it does not. This book is devilishly fun, super cute and a definite delight!! I'm posting a unbiased, unsolicited review.
Royally Tricked by Misha Bell is laugh-out-loud funny with nonstop cringe worthy scenes that makes for the greatest comedies!
Gia is a fun loving magician who wants to establish herself as a household name like all the great magicians and illusionists. Tigger is a prince better known for his daredevil stunts than for his princely duties. There is an instant attraction between these two characters and you just fall absolutely in love with the both of them. It gets even better when Tigger “meets the parents” and Gia is berated in front of her boyfriend for “slut shaming” her mom after an accidentally “footsy play” underneath the dinner table.
If you love romantic comedy you definitely need to add this to your TBR! It will have your spirits lifted and have you LOL to the point that you may be causing a scene. Just kidding … or am I? 😜
Tedious and exhausting. This is all this book was about: Sexual innuendo. Pop-cultuer reference. Hidden Disney princess aspirations. Explained away by mentioning how hot the H is so it's totally ok. Sexual innuendo. Virgin status lamentation. Various siblings shenanigans are mentioned. Joke joke joke joke joke. Sexual innuendo. More… gotta mention more
Intentionally choosing these names for the characters to further saturate a book with lame jokes that don't even land well in a book that is already OVER-KILL with jokes. Waldo. Blue. Clarice. Tigar. Rasputina. GIA
That restaurant scene was just whacked. The girl who is germaphobic is totally fine with mushrooms. Do you know how mushrooms are prepared? If done correctly they are not washed, possibly just brushed cuz they absorb water and that changes their desired texture after cooking… So yeah… Not buying that.
Also, the H orders to eat a poisonous mushroom (cuz he is a man used to riches and being spoiled and taunting death is like the ultimate thrill ride, can he be more cliché for a rich dude) and the h knows right away which mushrooms it is and that is poisonous. She even identifies it as the mushroom from Alice in Wonderland. Who the hell would know that? I would buy it I guess except the next moment H lists some other poisonous dishes he has eaten and mentions fugu and the h has to google what that is. I guess obscure mushroom knowledge which has like a billion species and sub-species is totally believable but knowing the single most televised and mentioned taboo dish on the planet is just going over her head. Not buying that either.
And every time she mentions Roskovia and Roskovian which are totally made up countries, cuz you know they have royalties and all I wanna barf. I am so over this "Princess diaries" crap of making up countries and having their loyalties reside in the US so basic girls can have their Disney princess fantasy… Ugh
You’ll laugh till you can’t take anymore with this witty and hilarious Rom Com. Dive in and experience Gia’s life, and the twists her journey takes. You’ll quickly fall in love with this hilarious story.
It was ok but I didn’t find it as funny as others, more so on the side of weird. A magician germaphobe and a prince…. Not much of a plot. Narration:4/5
Misha Bell’s hilarious rom-com, Royally Tricked, had me laughing from the start. Gia, a spitfire trickster, with more than an ace up her sleeve and the ability to woo any spectator, especially the masculine sex, also has a sanitary, ziplocked heart. Not that Gia doesn’t believe in love or want a happily ever after, but the line she’d have to cross to get there might be more than her germaphobia can take. Permanently traumatized by a bird massacre that happened on her parent’s farm when she was a child, Gia and her sisters are afflicted with different forms of life intolerances. Gia’s phobia includes touching anyone, so this has been an ongoing problem when it comes to finding love, even if it comes in a royally, drop-dead-gorgeous package. Prince Anatolio is a sexy, thrill seeker, who desires more than Gia’s help breathing underwater. He wants to steal her breath and heart.
Okay, first of all, I thought this was a super cute fairy tale rom-com with lots of wit and originality. I loved the author’s sassy voice but could have done without the graphic description of Porn-therapy. Truth be told, I can’t watch surgery on television shows either. That being said. I laughed out loud and loved all the playful banter between characters. I actually thought the novel could have been longer getting to the climax, but hearing Jason Clarke read the sexy epilogue will surely have readers listening to more or Misha Bell’s sinfully funny stories. I still give it five stars because the dialogue in the heroine’s head was a detailed real account of human body-contact. It was a quick listen and highly entertaining.
My question after reading this book is how did seeing a bird killing and eating chicken brains make Gia a germaphobe. Afraid to touch and be touch, to go into a hospital, kiss a man, have sex, eat at only O and A rated restaurant and wear a hazmat suit? Gia is a struggling magician who wants to stage a show but can't find the opportunity. Enter Tigger. Seeing Gia, thinking she is her twin, Holly, their first meeting is something to remember when Tigger loses his pants and all his glory is hanging there. Gia gets an eyeful, hence the nickname "his royal hardness" comes about. Through all their crazy getting to know each other, Gia finds that wanting Tigger is growing more and more and the feeling is mutual as he helps her overcome her phobia to germs and touch. As their attraction grows and after meeting the octoparents that's enough to push Gia through her phobias and wrap her hands, arms, lips and everything else round Tigger and finally after 3/4 into reading this book they finally consummate their growing relationship.
Of course when Tigger leaves in the morning and she doesn't hear from him she goes into crazy mode thinking she was a one night stand, as if what man would put that effort into a one nighter. But a trip to the hospital because of Tigger having food poisoning and a crazy run in and misinformation from a wanna be jealous boyfriend. Gia finally owns up about her lies and the rest is the usual blah, blah, blah.
Awesome and inspiring, this laugh-out-loud ROMCOM is a total MUST-BUY! I started laughing on page 4, and then I laughed out loud throughout the read. Not sure how author Misha Bell (the writing team of Anna Zaire and her husband Dima Zales) does it. Yet, the ability to take some loveable, yet quirky individuals and throw them into some marginally improbable circumstances is not only plausible but is awe-inspiringly heartwarming and side-splitting as well! The laughter and focus required to follow the twists and turns within ROYALLY TRICKED was something I’ve needed desperately during these unpredictable and ever-changing times. If you love a romance that will make you laugh and focus your attention on what can both uplift your spirits and pose erotic “distractions,” anytime reality bites too deeply, then Gia and Tigger’s love story is most definitely the place to go. While I volunteered to read an early copy of ROYALLY TRICKED by Misha Bell, I have preordered a copy for my personal Kindle library. It will make you laugh out loud, ROFL even if that’s your thing; but mostly, ROYALLY TRICKED will take you away to a different time and place. A place that will warm your heart and keep you laughing, even with its second reading! I am voluntarily submitting this 5+STAR recommendation and STRONGLY suggesting that you get your copy of ROYALLY TRICKED today! I’m not sure where author Misha Bell will go next, but I do know I will follow! Happy pages. 😉
Royally Tricked A Laugh-Out-Loud Royal Romance By: Misha Bell, Anna Zaires, Dima Zales Narrated by: Erin Mallon, Jason Clarke
Laugh out loud fun, Misha Bell brings us Gia's story and it's a blast! We met Gia when before, one of the twins in the octomom family and she is an up and coming magician, and now is going to teach the handsome Prince Cezaroff how to hold his breath for an extended period under water. Better known as Tigger, he is taken with the germophobic magician, and anything to be near her is worth the time. This slow burn, quirky, adrenaline filled romcom is a perfect listen for a happy, love filled time. Bell brings all the excitement and enjoyment of the crazy sisters and brothers Tigger and Gia have, as well as the hysterically funny octomom parents. The chemistry between these two if off the charts and I love how they interact. It's a wonderful addition to the romcoms and it's highly recommend it.
Erin Mallon is fantastic as always. Her nuances and inflections lead to the quirky personalities and her comedic timing is spot on. Tack on the epilogue of Jason Clarke as Tigger, and his wonderful voice giving us all the feelings he has for Gia, and it's perfect.
Royally Tricked, a funny feel-good read about a daredevil and a germaphobic magician - so random and so awesome!
Anatolio Cezaroff aka Tigger, a daredevil prince with two dogs who could easily be mistaken for bears. He's so handsome it hurts, he's not stuck-up in the slightest, he has a massive appendage, suitably named Sir Royal Hardness by Gia and he doesn't make fun off, or ridicule Gia for being germaphobic.
Gia had an incident when she was younger that traumatised her and since, has had a fear of germs, off any type of human contact and it has impacted her. Although this book is a romantic comedy - and I did laugh a lot! I think Misha has handled the subject carefully and it could help others understand how awful something like that can be! Because it is awful, and it hinders you. But Tigger is the perfect guy to help her!
Thoroughly enjoyed this, so funny, very sweet, superweird characters (Gia's parents!) and it made me smile so big!
An excellent read.
*I voluntarily received an arc and this is my honest review.
𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄: Oh my God! I was hooked to the story as soon as I wolf down that funny as hell blurb. I love rom com, and if it is this good then I will happily keep reading rom com all my life.
Gia is such a unique heroine, her germ phobia is something I read for a first time in a Romance book and it was so interesting and full with humor. Tigger is one hell of a man. His Royal highness made this book a 100 times more funnier than any other rom com for me.
Both Gia and Tigger has such a great character development individually as well as together. They were a blast together on page. Out of all the romcom by Author Bell, this is by far my most favorite ever. This got me more excited to read future works by this author.
10 STARS!!! Looking for Funny, Steamy and Amazingly Good? Then look no further! Royally Tricked by Misha Bell (aka Anna Zaires and Dima Zales) is one of the funniest books I have ever read and now one of my favorites for sure. This is the story of Anatolio Cezaroff known as Tigger, a daredevil and part of the Ruskovian royal family, and Gia Hyman, a master of illusions and magical tricks and a full blown germaphobe. I cannot adequately express how amazing and beautifully written this book was. I haven't laughed out loud so much from a book EVER. Basically, I loved, loved, loveeeed this book!!! THERE IS FUNNY, AND THERE IS THIS BOOK! And don't even get me started on the steamy scenes... it will make you wish you had your own prince charming coming your way :-) What more can I add? There is humor, passion, tenderness, mischievousness and so much more. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. BRAVO!
