Rikki Carmichael finally feels that deep D/s relationship she has been craving since her Aunt Tilda introduced her to the life. She embraced her Dominant side early on but finding a suitable submissive woman who wanted more than a quick roll in the dungeon proved elusive. That is until Professor Bernadette Garneau arrived on the scene. Now collared and committed to Rikki, will Bernadette prove to be different, or will she turn out like all the others—fickle and full of lies and deception?
Danielle Grainger currently resides in the southeastern USA with several pampered fur babies. Always an avid reader, she got into writing after reading several novels which she felt didn’t accurately represent the BDSM lifestyle. With so many rampant misconceptions about the lifestyle, she took a chance and crafted an admittedly idealized version of one possible experience. Dani hopes not only to entertain her readers but to enlighten and educate as well.
Bernadette is a sub who always experiences everything very intensely. Her submission, her trust, her hope for guidance from the Doms in her live and of course her pain! That’s who she is and what she needs. She saw that through the loving hand of Dom Rikki at the end of book three in this series.
Rikki is the ideal intense Dom for this sub. The two just need to achieve absolute mutual trust and this D / s connection could be more than just that. It could be true Love. The book is written from Rikki's point of view and how she loves her „Little Bee“ right from the start. Bernadette‘s absolute willingness to be Rikki's property is fascinating and Rikki loves her absolute devotion. Everything seems perfect and gets more intense from day to day. Rikki herself made mistakes in the past and lived through some tough lessons of life. Those experiences have shaped her and changed her significantly. As a Dom, she demands absolute trust and dedication but, can she give it back? Can she learn again to let someone into her heart and trust her? Bernadette may be the perfect sub and her "little bee" has done everything right so far, but is she real? Or is she playing a game with Rikki like many others in her past?! These two wonderful characters face these challenges in the fourth book of the „Bernadette series.“ This book of course is full of hot and steamy scenes. Again beautifully written by Danielle Grainger. But it‘s also full of heartwarming and soft moments. All dear friends are back and the community surpasses itself again with Love, Support and mutual Respect.
All series review... Book 1 - 2 star - discovering submissive ID, first Domme (abusive) but quite hot gang-bang (no men involved) Book 2 - 1 star - trying to figure out which type of Domme, VERY abusive Domme Book 3 - 3 star - beginning to find local community, 1st local Domme (abusive but less so than previous), but finally finds good one in book's second half Book 4 - 4.5 star - finally in good, loving D/s relationship, from POV of Domme (Rikki)
This review is for the entire Bernadette series. The only reason I did not stop reading after Book 1 (Wrecking Bernadette) - which really left me feeling disgusted with the whole BDSM scene - was that I had downloaded all 4. I liked the Denton Heights books and wanted to read more about these lovable characters. So a few days later I read Book 2 (S mothering B) and felt even more anger and disbelief. For someone who professes to write about BDSM because she feels it is misrepresented in most novels, this is not the type of BDSM I want to read. Book 3 is not much better, here we start meeting the Denton Heights characters, and who does Bernadette choose for her Domme, but 'Daddy' Vic. Really?? How did you expect this was gonna turn out? On to book 4 and finally we get a sweet Domme, Rikki from the coffee shop. Bernadette has now connected with most of the Denton Heights characters and found her place in the BDSM group. This last one (for me) was sort of OK. One overall comment/question I have tho - why do lesbians have this craving for dick? Every bl*dy sex scene has to have penises involved. So thank you Danielle Grainger, I have now totally gone off BDSM novels.
A wonderful 4 book series. The story is about discovering who Bernadette is. Her search for a match. The failures she suffered. Finally, she meets her one. The right one and reaches her dream life. Loved all four books. They were difficult at times but so is reality.
