Fergus, the hunky silver fox billionaire, fell for Gemma for a while now; including soft-stalking her, kinda. She rejected him TWICE because of some misunderstanding. with a twist of fate, Fergus got his 2nd chance. So, he cleared up the misunderstanding and began his systematic plan to grab Gemma's heart. Why systematic you say?! Because he's the man in mission and he's not playing around. Go, Fergus!!

This book is hilarious!
Fergus Digby is a sexy, suit wearing, utterly clueless man. The woman he is pining over wants nothing to do with him. But he is not easily deterred. He has her in his sights and will not stop until she is his. Poor Gemma Davenport doesn’t stand a chance. Not that she really minds. Her heart and mind are at odds, but her body is fully onboard.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching them get their steamy happily ever after. Blindsided is both sweet and naughty and is the perfect read in about an hour romance book.

Blindsided did just that! I was expecting one thing from the blurb and what I got was a gruff, nervous, passionate hero. I got a heroine who is a little bruised by a misunderstanding and doesn't want to give him a chance. Even though he gives her butterflies and makes her lose her train of thought. But when Fate puts her in his path, he is determined to make her see how right they are, together. A whirlwind romance; this fast paced, sexy story was impossible to put down. Fergus is adorably out of his depth in trying to woo Gemma but he doesn't let that stop him. Gemma doesn't know what hit her but she cannot ignore how Fergus makes her feel. Oh my goodness, I loved this story, this couple! Gah, just so entertaining and endearing. I cannot wait to read more from Matilda Martel!

Blindsided is the first book in the new Love is Blind series and if the rest of the books are a fun and quirky as this one then count me in to read them all. This story is about Fergus Digby and Gemma Davenport. Fergus is forty-one years old and is the owner and CEO of Digby Financial Services in NYC. He successful and it is now time to settle down and start a family. The only problem is that the one woman he wants has turned him down not once but twice when he asked her out. Since he cannot have her he has decided to hire the best matchmaker in the city but each date has not been good and there have been no second dates yet. After all when no one else compares to her then what hope does he have. Gemma is twenty-two years old and recently started her own event planning company, Bride's Best Friend. She graduated early and then spent a year working for Manhattan's queen of wedding planner, Hazel Evers, before striking out on her own. Gemma has a five year plan and it does not involve men or a relationship, as who has the time when you plan on becoming the best wedding planner in NYC. She is not going to have what happened to her mother happen to her. The only issue is that there is one man she cannot stop thinking about and who not only is the biggest jerk she has ever met but also the sexiest jerk there is. Fergus shows up to his latest matchmaker date only to find the angel of his dreams walking towards his table and then stopping in front of him. It seems his intended date has been stuck in Europe so the matchmaker asked Gemma to fill in for the night. Gemma is not really happy about this but when the best matchmaker in the city asks you for a favor you do it when you know you are going to get referrals for your new business. Well this is about to get interesting as the games begin.
I really enjoyed this well written book. The story is cute, deliciously quirky, funny, entertaining and oh so crackling hot and smexy. Fergus and Gemma are both wonderful characters who have a great chemistry and banter between them. He may be accomplished and sought after but he becomes a tongue tied idiot when he is around Gemma. She is sweet, determined, hard working and has a few things that Fergus is determined to break through as he is not about to let her run away from him again, even as she tries. Nope he will hunt her down and make her see that they are meant for each other, after all he has been waiting for her all of his life.

Beautiful love story.

An absolutely romantic page-turner in the Love is Blind series! It is sweet, passionate, engaging, relatable, funny, emotionally deep, and well written with drama, characters you will love, undeniable charts chemistry. Definitely recommended!

I loved, loved this book. It had me sighing and laughing in equal measure. Fergus knows exactly what, or rather who, he wants in a woman and he’s determined to make Gemma his. Loved the dynamic between the two and Fergus’s single-minded focus to give her everything she’s ever wanted. Bravo 👏🏻

A story line that keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more and unable to stop turning the pages. The characters easily steal your heart and are easy to love. It's well written, captivating and 100% enjoyable. A great romance to get swept up in and escape everyday life for a short time.

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.

This is a sweet fast paced age gap romance. Matilda Martel has done it again, she just knows how to keep you wanting more. The feeling these two have for one another made me swoon. did not once want to stop reading and I read it one for. When Gemma has to attend a blind date for a friend as the women who she attend to meet Fergus couldn't attend, she didn’t realize the feelings she felt for fergus would be reciprocated. There’s a mix of sweet, sizzling, funny moments the whole way through which kept me glued to my seat. I kept smiling more and more every page I read. I love reading books just like this one that’s quick but has you feeling content and that’s what I got. I cannot wait to read more by Matilda Martel.

Short, steamy, age-gap novel.
As expected from Matilda, this offering is up to her usual style and writing quality. Gemma and Fergus' story is a short but intense story of immediate attraction, lust and finally love between a couple with a not inconsiderable age gap. However, love can transcend all boundaries. An ideal book to take on a flight or an afternoon of sun on holiday. Matilda writes about plausible, and likeable characters dropped into imaginable, entertaining, steamy plots. We get a happy ending, making this a very enjoyable afternoon read.

I have always loved Matilda Martel and she never disappoints. This book was heartwarming, sexy and funny at the same time.

The hero is head to toe in love and is not afraid to embarrass himself (and he does in some occasions but it's adorable) in his quest to marry the heroine. She is a strong and independent woman that knows what she wants in life.
They are amazing together. She inspires in him feelings he never had and he is dedicated in providing to her that he will never hold her back.

Ferguson has met his future wife now all he needs to in enact in palm in acquiring her. Gemma is young, vibrant and headstrong in starting her business she has a five year plan, that does not include love or babies. This was a storm front love on Fegus’s part now can he convince Gemma they belong together. Fast paced with lighthearted drama, a delightful ending for this OTT couple.

I enjoyed Fergus and Gemma's story, they were good together, they had a strong connection, their chemistry was steamy, they were made for each other.

I absolutely loved this short story. It was funny, entertaining, and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. Lana made me mad with her reaction to Gemma and Fergus. She was unreasonable and a bit mean. Thankfully, she redeemed herself later. Fergus fell in love at first sight when he saw Gemma. Gemma had rejected his advances twice so he decided to try to move on. Fergus wasn't prepared for Gemma to walk into the restaurant where he was waiting for his date. Gemma hated Fergus on principle. After the two of them sat down and had an actual conversation they discovered that there had been a miscommunication. They allowed themselves to feel their feelings. I loved how the story ended but I do wish there was an epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.
I also listened to this book on a podcast. It was very nice although there was only one narrator. I would recommend listening to it as well.

Blind Sided is an age gap romance which features Gemma, a career minded event planner with a five year plan which excludes love and men, and Ferguson, a CEO of a Financial Services firm who believes it is time for marriage and a family. He is strongly attracted to Gemma who firmly refuses his offers for dates. When he turns to a matchmaking service, after giving up on Gemma, Ferguson is surprised to see Gemma as his date. This well written book has humor, witty banter, steamy attraction, and great characters.

Really fast pace and short. Honestly I think there could have been more to this story. However there wasn’t beside the bonus I just read honestly I thought it do more for the story line but it speeded up more. It made it more unrealistic than it was already. This book moved to fast for my liking so I won’t recommend to anyone unless I know the person likes a fast pace story. Anyways this book to me is too much of a dream come true fiction. Not a story that shows connection and love and attraction that grows along the way with bumps on the road.

Nothing really stands out about this story to make me recommend it or want to read it again. Neither character has anything wonderful about them, and their whole Daddy/little girl during steamy scenes is cringy to be honest.
I didn’t notice any typos or grammatical errors, so that’s a plus.
I wish I’d liked this, but I honestly didn’t care for it, and it breaks my heart to leave such a review.

Not a fan of dd/lg kink
It wasn't too much, to be fair. Just your usual call me daddy line, but that really is the kink I like the least.
Other than that, the story dives right into the romance between our two leads without making you feel like you missed out on some context. Well written, sweet, steamy. 👍🏼

This was such a cute, funny and emotional story. It may be short but it will give you all the feels. I loved watching Gemma and Fergus work through their relationship. Can they make it work? You should get the book and see for yourself!!!

I enjoyed this short, steamy romance. The characters are interesting and the romance was hot. The hero is sweet and romantic and goes after what he wants, in the right way. The secondary characters are interesting and add to the fabric of the story.
